I always wondered about this...
Let's say argumentatively that there were apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers and pastors as young in our churches today. Let's say you could even notice these gifts to a degree, even if not all of them. Surely if one or two of them exists and you can identify them, the others, even if you can't identify them, must also be there.
What would be SO BAD if people were taught how to live out their gifts for God. How to be WILLING servants. How to listen to HIS Commandments and voice and obey. How to aid the church in terms of the gifts of Healings, Discernment of Spirits (which is by the way - hilarious to think that people want to discern the Spirits, but not use the gifts God gave us) etc.
Let's say I am wrong. Let's say I get to Heaven... and the Father calls me closer and say to me...
There were no gifts. It was all in you mind. You lead a lot of people to believe in God, because they believed in the miracles. You let a lot of young follow God more diligently because they felt they had purpose and reason to be on earth. But all that was actually just a fantasy. I helped you out, because I still wanted them to believe in Me.
What do you think? I would be able to laugh at my own stupidity and foolishness, because the Father would be happy that I helped many to follow Him and His will.
Here is a question. What if I am right and I did not teach these gifts to the people?
I would come in front of the Father and He would say to me... YOU KNEW!!! BUT DID NOTHING!!! They are burning because of YOU!!! You could have saved them, but chose to be scared to TALK about ME! About MY GIFTS I gave.
Those youngsters felt as if they are lost, without purpose but YOU KNEW!! and DID NOTHING!!!
I ask you where would you think would I end up then?!?
Would I not find a hotter place in hell then them.
You choose what you want. I have a good boss. And He has this saying. ERRor on the RIGHT side. I'm telling you, I'd rather make a mistake, teach the people the ways of God and His gifts, than the other way around. I'd rather be a FOOL for GOD and look like the biggest idiot in town. Than God telling me I am not wanted.
