You are sadly mistaking. Paul tells us in 1st Thess 4:14 that the dead in Christ return from Heaven with Jesus
No it doesn't.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.[a]
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Show me where it says they're in heaven. It doesn't. They're 'asleep'.
and Jesus confirms this Himself in Mark 13:27 when He gathers the elect from heaven (the dead) and from the earth (the living).
Hm?
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.
In this entire passage, the word heaven means the sky, or the cosmos. This says nothing about a paradise dimension that holds the dead in Christ.
Not to mention the fact that Christ went to preach to the souls in prison after His death before His resurrection 1st Peter 3:19.
In prison meant in Sheol/Hades. This has nothing to do with your concept of heaven and hell.
Further more ''Luke's gospel'' tells us of the story of Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man went directly to Hell after death, while Lazarus went to where the dead went before Christ's sacrafice.
"Hell" here is translated from Hades, or Sheol, once again the mutual holding place of all the dead in the Jewish faith. Notice that the rich man is
able to talk to Lazarus. They're in the same place, just with a gulf between them.
Luke also tells us that the man on the cross went to paradise with Jesus the very day of His death.
Also not the same thing as the 'heaven' you believe in.
Lastly Acts tells us that Jesus went to Hell when He died and Jesus confirmed this in Matthew 12:40 telling us He would be in the heart or middle of the earth for 3 nights and 3 days.
Considering that Jesus was actually dead for only one day and two nights, I think we can take this as poetic language.
My first inclination is to strike back with some childish remark such as you referring to me as a hypocrite because I believe in Heaven and Hell
Because you're a childish person. I said hypocrite not because you believe in heaven and hell but becasue you claim to believe in the infallibility of Scripture and yet condemn those who show you from scripture that your views are wrong.
but I relalize you are not truly a Christian, therefore cannot discern scripture correctly, so I understand why you are mislead, and pray one day you will truly know the truth (the person and His word)
The Truth means nothing to you. You want to cling to your fairly-tale fantasy version of Christianity despite all the evidence that you're wrong.
By the way Heaven and Hell is not the final stop. New Jerusalem is for believers and The Lake of Fire is for unbelievers.
Well at least this portion of your beliefs is Biblical. Congradulations.
