Or perhaps better to describe the fall of Satan from heaven as God defeated Satan by the blood and and Satan lost his power in the realm of those who have God on the throne in their hearts.
Another question.

So we know there is -

1. an atmospheric heaven - where the birds and planes fly and our weather.
2. and the celestial heavens where are the planets, suns etc.

So where were the angels and God BEFORE He created 1 & 2 heavenly realms?

Hi, thanks Marilyn. Rather than calling them those two things with the word 'heaven', I would personally just call them:

1. the earth's atmosphere and
2. outer space.

God seems to have been from everlasting, and so always was and is and is to come. Where he was and is and is to come seems to be everywhere. I would think that would include the time period you mention, you mention before the creation of the earth's atmosphere and outer space. To me, those two things seem to be physical entities. The Bible does say that what can be seen is temporal whereas what cannot be seen is eternal.

The angels are the believers, God's messengers. Each person is a created being. Presumably, God made the planet and its atmosphere as well as outer space prior to his creation of people, though I would be interested if you have any scriptures about this. It is interesting that you include angels and God in your question as I would simply think that God alone is the entity before the atmosphere and outer space.

Seated at the right hand of the Father.. its written. I think the 1st heaven is our sky then the 2nd wich is the Univ then the 3rd so forth so on. The realm we can not see where the fighting is I think is the 2nd heaven.

Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through
his holy prophets.

~ Acts 3:21

Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand
of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, 2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord,
not by a mere human being.

19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began

But look at the verses before. It says presence of the Lord and sending Jesus Christ. Is that now on Earth?

4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

I think in a sense Jesus is in heaven where God’s throne is. In another sense He exists spiritually everywhere His people are.

I don’t think there is quite an exact geographic and/or spatial location of where Jesus is.

I’m also inclined to believe heaven and “right hand of God” are often used figuratively. It seems like Jesus is not physically on Earth, but is on Earth in a sense.

This might sound crazy, but I’ve met Jesus in a vision before. I prayed and asked God if I could see Jesus. A cloud appeared and in the cloud was the face of a middle eastern look man. That was Jesus I’m sure.

I think this is a mystery because we don’t fully understand how it’s possible to be omnipresent. We always physically see everything from one spot on our head, but God sees everything from every spot simultaneously.

Remember Jesus said He would send His Holy Spirit. (John 16: 13 & 14) Thus that is how He is with His Body, in His believers.

I don't think right the hand of God is figurartive. Heaven is a very real kingdom.

13 ‘In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away,
and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

According to Jesus he is on earth right now through The Holy Spirit. But he is still very much seated in heaven.

~ John 16
7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

I believe the “right hand of God” is figurative language for a place of power and honor.

2 Corinthians 12: 1-4

1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth)

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Dear brothers and sister in Christ,

Today I studied where Jesus of Nazareth is exactly and I’m not 100% sure exactly. If you’d like, please read my train of thought as I rummage through various passages. Please explain where you believe Christ is exactly. Thank you!

Paul said in Philippians 1 that he wants to be with Christ, but that isn’t clear to me that Paul was talking about going to “heaven” as in the place where God’s “throne” is per Psalm 11:4 and Matthew 5:34.

Jesus went to heaven and sat down “on” God’s “right hand.”

Mark 16:19 KJV
19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

God doesn’t have a literal right hand with five fingers, a palm, knuckles, and a wrist as far as I am aware. “Right hand” means a position of power and/or authority.

Psalm 89:13 KJV
13Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

Psalm 63:8 KJV
8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Matthew 22:44 KJV
44The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Christ was “received up into heaven.” He was physically raptured, ascending through space, from point A to point B.

Whether Jesus actually exited the earth’s atmosphere or transfigured and went to some unseen realm in a different dimension is unclear to me.

One also must consider that heaven is possibly a reference to the universe itself which seems to be how it was meant in Greek. The earth is in the universe therefore the earth is in heaven. That’s how the earth is God’s “footstool” and heaven is His “throne.”

Isaiah 66:1 KJV
1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

It’s coming apparent that God is big enough to exist everywhere simultaneously, including omnipresently in the physical universe which is only big enough to be considered a throne, somewhere outside of the physical universe (Genesis 1:1) where presumably the “mansions” (John 14:2) are, on earth because it’s a footstool, and in the hearts of believers because people are His temple.

But wait that’s not all. Somehow believers are seated in “heavenly places” in Christ. So maybe heaven isn’t a reference to a point in space, where Christ seems to have physically ascended to, but rather a spiritual location?

Ephesians 2:6 KJV
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Maybe this is what Christ meant all along when He said the kingdom of God isn’t anywhere in particular, but rather inside believers?

Luke 17:20,21 KJV
20…The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

That means Christ is seated in God’s kingdom, in the temple of your body, in your heart:

Ephesians 3:17 KJV
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV
16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭

That was required for this

“Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:30-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus needed to come to earth and overcome sin and death for man , then he needed to be exalted and glorified in the heavens as he was in the beginning In order to restore the holy spirit clean and pure his spirit which he Carried in his flesh the flesh of Gods son , is now sent from heaven into believers making us his children by this spirit of his son

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

you are observing the unfolding of his plan to restore us and limiting where his presence is as if he’s limited to one place and time

it was all necassary to redeem us so God became a perfect man overcame mans struggles even death and the. Returned to heaven to prepare a place for his people now restored and redeemed by accepting this renewed spirit of Gods children that can only come the way he set it forth to come through Christ Jesus

Jesus is currently sitting on his throne at Gods right hand In his heavenly kingdom he’s there to intercede on our behalf

“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When a believer passes away thier spirit goes to Jesus to dwell
In his kingdom until the rest are all gathered from the earth

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6, 8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

While we live on earth he is with us by the spirit sent from heaven , when we leave the body we go to be with him present in his kingdom until he returns and restores the earth.

heaven and earth are part of one creation but each has its own realm spiritual is heavenly , flesh is earthly we part the earthly and enter the spiritual

understanding the make up and design of man helps understand this man is a living spirit that dwells within body of flesh like a man Inside a vehicle. We have a body but we are spirit. The spirit is going to endure but the flesh will expire the two part at death the spirit enters heavenly realms and the flesh returns to the dust as it began but the spirit of man is now alive and present with Jesus

When a man does the flesh and spirit seperate d each is destined to return tonehatbit was before creation the dust returns back to the dust , and the living spirit returns to God who gave it to man at creation

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:

and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭12:7‬ ‭

After we die our spirit is judged by what we did Ike we existed within the body on earth

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭

note thier body is t being judged but thier spirit is judged based on what they did while in the body on earth

spirit lives and flesh dies Jesus is on a spiritual kingdom with believers who lived and died in faith eventually everyone’s coming home to God and he will restore creation to its original state of very good and well dwell forever with him as was the intent of creation
