Closest parallel I see is David sinning against God by taking a census, and God striking down Israel with a plague until eventually the people prayed it away. Second closest parallel I see are end times prophecies: not just of a substantial portion of the population dying of plague, but of love growing cold (Matthew 24:12). All this social distancing and people in the hospital unable to see their loved ones, that incubates love growing cold.

As for being a bioweapon, the Chinese have no reason to unleash a bioweapon upon themselves. If they had done so, it would have been somewhere like Taiwan or Japan. The United States, however, has plenty of reason to unleash a bioweapon in Wuhan--specifically, when they were there for the October 2019 Winter Military Games, when the virus started. The virus spreading back to the United States--that's called backfiring. Which parallels an Old Testament prophecy: by their own wicked schemes, God will destroy them (Psalm 21, Esther 7:10, Daniel 6:24).

Naaman, and Elisha, and Gehazi. Elisha healed Naaman and did not take a offering from him for being healed. Gehazi, Elisha's servant took the offering instead and it wasnt permitted and his was cursed and received the disease that Naaman was healed of. I believe that if we do not value ourselves and be kind the others freely at this time then we could receive the corona-virus. When we are not careful and do not find governments advice we will get the virus.
The government is God, the good people are Elisha the bad people are naaman, and the infected people are the disease. Its weird and far fetched but i do think it can relate. There is of course when Jesus says there will be pestilences in the end times. But i tried to take on the challenge you offered. :sneaky:
