Satan gets God to move his hand against Job to see if Job will curse God to his face. First his household is wiped out, but Job does not curse God. Then Satan has God afflict Job directly with disease and sores. Still in this Job does not curse God. Satan even moves Job's wife to try to curse God, which Job refuses. Finally, Satan sends Job's three friends to provoke Job. Job's three friends speak a bunch of nonsense and lies and false accusations against Job that Satan placed in their mouth, yet Job never curses God. Towards the end Job just once speaks foolishly, though he does not curse God, but merely speaks foolishness, and for this he gets rebuked by God out of the whirlwind. Job is amazed and accepts what the Lord God says to him and is healed by God, his three friends are made to do penance because of all the lies they had spoken. God restores Job to health, gives him new children and abundance, and the story ends with Satan losing like he always does, and God winning like he always does.

The OP asks who was it that persecuted Job! Job 38-42 indicates it was not God! Again the lesson here is that a righteous man was rebuked for thinking wrongly of God.
Not that Job is greater than Abraham! Not that Moses suffered more than Abraham!

Your logics are not only moot, they are non-sequitur,
1) "all <men> have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
2) Abraham is a man.
means
Job is greater than Abraham

1) Moses fell ill, because of circumcision.
2) Moses was highly regarded.
means
Job is greater than Abraham

Only Jesus and Abraham are mentioned as reasons for gentile salvation. Only the Son of God is the means and Abraham because of the Promise.
Now i see your 'road block' in your post.

Well, you miss, like most religious people do, the Truth concerning Job and the LORD saying "have you considered MY servant Job, there is no one like him on earth" BEFORE and AFTER = over your head.............down the road with the 3 who blamed him.

Have you not read the entire book of Job? His "friends" spend 36 chapters going on and on about how Job must have sinned for all that had happened to him. The first verse of Job "and that man was perfect, and upright, and one that feared (meaning revered, or reverenced God) God and eschewed evil; and in the end God blessed him 7 times over.
amen

“In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭42:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

job confessed to speaking from ignorance of things greater than himself he was repenting of his fallen countenance . He was a righteous man suffering not a man sinning in anyway

Was it the devil, God, someone, and/or something else? Or was it a combination?
And why would I ask such a ridiculous question, you might wonder mockingly?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

We all assume, it was the devil only who attacked Job until you read....

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

In the above accounts, you have the devil telling God to put forth His hand against Job, and in chapter 2, verse 3, God said the devil moved His hand against Job.
So what do you think actually happened?
Who smote Job, his family, and all he had?
You have Comprehension problems, you have answered you own post.

Ok... But you seem to omit the last 4 chapters of the Book of Job. Every verse must be conformed, or you basically have a doctrine made by man. Every verse is inspired by the Holy Spirit, believe it or not.

The Conclusion of Job is GREATER then where it started.

BEFORE = "Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil."
GOSPEL = the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
DURING = SUFFERING - Religious Persecution from those who have a form of godliness but deny the power.
AFTER = And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.
GOSPEL = Now therefore, take for yourselves seven(7) bulls and seven(7) rams, go to My servant Job,
and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you.
For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" = Eternal Truth from the Story of Job

GOSPEL = the LORD came thru for Job and showed UP on his behalf
"eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end,
that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." = Eternal Truth from the Story of Job

Rejoice that the LORD has you covered

All good except for your opening line "Satan gets God to move His hand against Job"

The LORD initiated the challenge to Satan and not vice versa.

I don't see how that is so. God simply asked the pathetic old serpent if he had seen Job. It is the Devil that answered back, lying like he always does, with his slander he claims that it is only because God had blessed Job, but if God takes away everything Job has then Job will curse him to his face. Even after proven that he is just a liar that old serpent then presses further with his next lie that if Job is personally touched by the Hand of God in his flesh that he will curse God. Even after proven again he is a liar and wrong about everything, Satan sends the three friends, and at the best all they can really do is to get Job to speak a little vanity, hardly a sin worth mentioning even that for the most part people totally overlook it and don't even notice it. God did not tempt Job or any of that, he was merely pleased with him, but it was Satan who decided to challenge this, and as characteristic of that old serpent, he always lies, he never tells the truth ever when he speaks in the Bible.

Dear Brother how are you - all good i hope.

The LORD knew Job and the LORD had a Desire, Purpose and Greater Blessing in His Heart for Job before satan ever spoke to the LORD.
The LORD used satan for the instrument upon which to Bless Job = just as the FATHER sent His Son to Glorify Him and Save the world.
You will do well to carefully examine my Posts here on this thread as their is great blessing in understanding.

"However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."

Peace to you my precious Brother in Christ

Job is a gentile prophet who was contemporary with Abraham (jewish lore). Job was a righteous man as with Abraham. However, while Job was just some guy with Godly rituals, Abraham was family. That is why God does not interfere. Job was not family. Abraham and Sarah was on a whole different level of intimacy.

Job 1:7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? ....

I will paraphrase
The Lord asked the question first. "What are you doing here? "
Devil say "Wandering to and fro spreading "knowledge""
Lord says (accuses) "You've been looking at the guy I know Job. You know the upright man who fears Me."
Devil answers back "He only fears you because of the benefits he derives from worshipping you."
Lord answers "Wayward son, just because you have power does not mean you should use it. Don't harm a hair on his head, hear Me."

God gave no Consent to the devil, but extended His Protection of Job's existence. Job was an acquaintance. Abraham was very different in the Eyes of God. There are perks being the friend of God.
Since God Listed Job, Noah, and Daniel as examples of righteous men in the land that might have a chance of holding back his wrath, (and not Abraham) your theory won't work.
Ezek 14
12The word of the Lord came to me: 13“Son of man, suppose a land sins against me by acting faithlessly, and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its supply of bread, to send famine through it, and to wipe out both people and animals from it. 14Even if these three men — Noah, Daniel, and Job — were in it, they would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

Satan.

Correction: See Post #52 for your answer as to why the LORD initiated the conflict - PEACE

See Post #12 of OP "Job 34:7 -> “What man is like Job?"

To summarize - Ezekiel 14:14 Not even a Patriarch, Prophet, and Righteous Man can sway the Punishment to come.

Consider Sodom and Gomorrah
Look at how Abraham talks to God. It is akin to that which God rebuked Job in Chapters 38-42. He questions God.
Gen 18:23Abraham stepped forward and said, “Will You really sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24What if there are fifty righteous ones in the city? Will You really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous ones who are there? 25Far be it from You to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Will not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

Now look at how God treats Abraham. Job was tongue lashed when he was still suffering from boils and pains. He beheld the Terrible Might of God, El Shaddai. While Abraham's sensibilities was considered. Treatment is night and day.
Gen 18:17And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. 19For I have chosen him, so that he will command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, in order that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has promised.”

Abraham was the friend of God. Oaths, bonds between this man and God are different from Job and God.

What is the expectation of an acquaintance? Did not Jesus say "Do not test God?"? The same idea here. You should always worship God as a son to a Divine Father under any circumstance. Not a doctrine that God commands evil spirits.

“Dear Brother how are you - all good i hope.”
