I was reading the Bible and find it amazing no matter how many times I read it. Something I didn't notice before just seems to make me sit back and say, Hey Wow God what does all this mean?

lol the above question is from reading these passages from Numbers 11

16 So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. 17 Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone. 18 Then you shall say to the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the hearing of the LORD, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you shall eat. 19 You shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days, 20 but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have despised the LORD who is among you, and have wept before Him, saying, “Why did we ever come up out of Egypt?”’”
21 And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’ 22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”
23 And the LORD said to Moses, “Has the LORD’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”
24 So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LORD, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle. 25 Then the LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.

it reminds me of the 70 Jesus sent out before Him who were given the power to cast out demons and heal people.

Luke 10

The Seventy Sent Out

1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also,[a] and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road. 5 But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. 7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8 Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. 9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11 ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’ 12 But[c] I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

Also there is a 70 week prophecy for Israel

Daniel 9:24
(24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Ananda, Jesus is the GATE to the Kingdom of God. So when Jesus said the Kingdom of God has come near, He literaly means it is only on the otherside of HIM! Jesus said.. Nobody can come to the Father except (by) through Me. It means the kingdom is only on the otherside of the gate, and When Jesus spilt His blood for us, and the cloth tore from the top to the botoom, Jesus opened up the GATE to the Kingdom and to the Father!

When we pass through the GATE we enter the Kingdom. When we go through the BLOOD we enter into the Kingdom to be with God in the Kingdom. Then we exit this wold and we enter the Kingdom. MANY scripture pertain to this way of reasoning! The one that is the most definate... John 13:1... Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Can we depart out of this world unto the Father? YES!!! Why Because Jesus not only opened the gate to Father, He also ooened the GATE to the Kingdom! If we are in His kingdom we are in the world but not FROM the world.... That means we went to Fater and came back FROM THE FATHER!...Jesus did the SAME whenhe said to MARY.... Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

We see here that Jesus did God to the Father, and HE RETURNED in a "touch me again state". Becasue He told Thomas shortly after he told Mary to not touch Him.... PUT your hand in my side... (John 29:27). Now what changed about Jesus when He told Mary not to touch, and when He told Thomas to touch... That is what WE all should go through!

Ananda it has been a while now that I tried my best to put the TRANSITION from man to HOLY MAN to the people in CC, but it just does not come out in an easy way. So the best way to describe it is to say it as straight as I can.... When we pass through Jesus, to enter into the Kingdom, we are then DEAD for the world! We are no longer from the World, but from the Kingdom of God, as sure as Jesus came from the Kingdom of God when he said to Thomas.... Thrust your hand in my side!!! Ananda, you can touch ANY man from God, but they are not men from this WORLD! They are FROM GOD'S KINGDOM.

ALL God's Kingdom Children are BROTHERS to Jesus! Thy are as holy, and as perfect as Jesus, becasue God only has a perfect FAMILY! God can only create PERFECTION! And God Himself BUILDS HIS FAMILY!

Look what Jesus says to the sinners.... Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Joh 8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Jesus came to SAVE US FROM THIS WORLD TO BE FROM HIS KINGDOM!!!! And the Kingdom is STILL just on the other side of the BLOOD! Ananda, ALL the SONS OF GOD, come from the OTHER SIDE OF THE BLOOD! They are Holy and perfect, becasue they ARE NOT FROM BENEATH, NOT FROM THIS WORLD!

They are born from GOD not from MAN!

May the Lord please lay this Truth on your heart, and may the LORD aloow us to enter through HIM so that we are ALSO FROM ABOVE! AMEN!

DEAR ANANDAHYA, See the Orthodox Study Bible. It lists all the names of the 70 disciples of Christ. See my thread under "The Seventy", I believe that's what I called it. It lists the 70 people from the OSB.
This deals with your question completely. If you see the OSB, it will give Scripture references for the 70 disciples and their memorial days in the Church.
