They believe that but it is a lie. Jerusalem is not even mentioned in The Unholy Koran.
The place of the 'ascension' (that word should give you a clue to the true nature of "The Prophet" of Islam) is said to have been at place called "The farthest mosque". It's a chapter in The Koran called The Night Journey.

At the time this verse was "revealed" [about 622AD] Jerusalem was not in the hands of Muslims and there was no Mosque at all in this place (not even a church). The Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque only began to be built 53 years after the death of the false prophet Muhammad.
Very enlightening.

What was the “water of purification” ?

God gave the Israelites an award-winning recipe for an antibacterial soap.
Apologetics Press - God’s Soap Recipe

the recipe for the water of purification stands today as a wonderful example of God’s
brilliance, since the recipe is nothing less than a procedure to produce an antibacterial soap.

The various lye-soap recipes reveal that, to obtain lye, water was poured through ashes.
Thank you. That is fascinating.

The Living water or the water of the word expresses the doctrines of God that are loosed, coming down from heaven and bound of earth falling like rain or dew etc

Living, moving water and blood speaks of the unseen cleansing action of the Spirit of Christ, the anointing Holy Spirit of God.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: Deu 32:1

It is used to symbolize as a shadow of the good things to come. Christ our high priest after the order of Melchisedec, the new order we are in today.

It is used as the purifying agent that God applies to our new hearts and new spirit .You could say to soften our hearts in preparation for the gospel seed.

The water of the word in that way symbolically purifies the hearts of all men, Jew or gentile, male and female alike putting no difference between...the one creation as the bride of Christ, the church .

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Act 15:8

In the Old testament in order to become a member of the priesthood of believers to be used to bring the gospel. Water was used to represent that not seen the cleansing action of the washing and renewing of the Holy Spirit which is signified by water .

I think it’s the same foundation today called baptism of the Holy Spirit, represented by water as a appeal to God to go out in the world. .. When a believer is ready to go out into the word and make disciples of men. The goal is they too would become a member of the new priesthood of believers and bring the gospel as the water of the world .In a living hope that God would also apply it to their hearts.

Here are 2 of several everlasting covenants God cuts with/by Himself

Gen 9:13 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant
between me and the earth.(NOTE: God cut the rainbow covenant with Himself)
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember
the everlasting covenant [between God and every living creature] of all flesh
that is upon the earth. Genesis 9:16

NOTE:This rainbow covenant I believe apply's to you and me today.

Gen 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark,
behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,
-
This says the same day, it could have been the daylight portion of the day,
when Abram was awake, but he did make this covenant [with] Abram, saying...

8And he said, Lord God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

verse 8 Abram also asked for a sign, or how would he know.

Yes I agree it is a lie.
