This is how the beast assumes power through the false prophet, I agree.
But scripture states that once the beast takes power, there is three and a half years of peace and joy. It it at the end of this 3 1/2 years right before the beast enters the temple to make "abomination" that he destroys the harlot. and when he does it, the whole world, "Who loved the harlot" is amazed and saddened that the harlot is destroyed.
Thus one must ask.. why would the beast destroy the harlot when the harlot is on his side, and the word evidently follows the harlot (which is to his advantage) right before he enters the holy of holies and commits the abomination of desolation?
Another good point, Yet this shows the Harlot is following him, because after three and a half years she is still inpower, so she must have taken the mark (even if unknowingly, which I think will be the case)
Ah but your timeline is wrong. The harlot is not destroyed "BEFORE" the beast is given power. It is destroyed long after he has obtained power, in fact she is on his side. (Again I think unknowingly, because she does not know who he is)
I can't agree, If the Harlot is the world system run by satan, why would the beast (empowered by satan) destroy his own system? I am reminded of what jesus said when he was accused of removing a demon under satan's power.
Mark 3: 23-27: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
The Harlot can not be the world system ruled by satan, because satan would be going against his own house "Satan casting out satan". As Jesus said, His kingdom would not be able to stand. No military man, or man in power would attack himself. Jesus made it clear satan would never do this.
I think we agree on many things. I just don't agree that the Harlot is the world system, and hopefully now you see why..

Who ordered the crucifiction of Jesus? And what City ruled that power that gave the authority for Jesus to be crucified? Jerusalem did not crucify Christ, they had no power.

So Those in power in Jerusalem hove power over the united states and europe and the rest of the world. The world is purchasing her goods, She has influence over the kings (rulers) of all nations?
Sorry if I chose not to be spoonfed what to believe, but actually study what is being said. Jerusalem does not fit the discription. so it can not be her! or those in her!
Ok, You gave ONE example. does this example fit EVERTHING ELSE WE ARE TOLD ABOUT THE HARLOT? Why is it people are demanding we take only a PART of what is being said and ignor everything else?? Sorry if I can not buy into your system of how one interprets the word of God, God had a reason to put everything the harlot is so we can know. He did not waste his breath by putting in everything else the harlot would be and what she was, so we can ignor it and say "here this ONE POINT says this, so it has to be what I believe!!
Did Jerusalem have the power to Crucify Christ? NO! Was Jerusalem the "Power center" of the Roman religion which was born in Babylon? NO! Is Jerusalem babylon? NO! Babylon at the time of John was ROME, Jerusalem at this time was still concidered by John to the the CITY of God. "the heads of the church were in Jerusalem" Why would he write that Jerusalem was babylon? For it did not resemble babylon in any way shape or form.
John used things in HIS DAY to write his words. There is no way John would have considered Jerusalem to be Babylon, and if he did, he would have TOLD US SO!!
Ok, And this verse which shows that if God did not leave any survivors, there would be no PHYSICAL ISRAELITES OR CHILDREN OF ISRAEL left on earth, but they, like Sodom and Gemorrah would have been wiped of the earth proves your point how?? This is not talking about Israel or Jerusalem being sodom this is saying that If God did not spare a remenant, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE SODOM (Destroyed)

So can anyone tell me how the destruction of Jerusalem would cause the cities of other nations collapse? I can't see it. We are told that at the end. Jesus spares jerusalem, and sets up his throne there. So why would Jesus destroy it? He destroys those who attack it. not it!!

Rev 6 talks about all the KINGS OF THE EARTH. Not Jerusalem, or the jews.. so why did you use it? Rev 6 destroys your thoery, it does not help prove Israel is the harlot,
As for the rest of the passages you quoted. were fullfilled in 70 AD. And have no bearing on who the harlot is. Yet again you use passages out of context. They might make you feel good, but I can not take Gods word out of context just to make my belief stand. For I would be a fool!
As always you 'Pick and chose" Verses and take them completely out of context in order to prove to yourself your right.
