Did the people of his day believe that he was born of some supposedly ever virgin, who herself was born through some immaculate conception? I think not.
Matthew 1:

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Joseph loved Mary and when he learned that Mary was with child before they came together he considered that he might put her away privily (quietly give Mary a bill of divorcement).

However, according to Matt 1:20, the angel appeared to unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And in Matt 1:24, we read that Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife;

Mary and Joseph had children after Jesus was born. According to Matt 13:55-56, the brothers of Jesus were James, Joses, Simon, Judas and He had sisters as well.

Do you honestly believe that if John had believed that Jesus was born of some supposed virgin conception, that he would have doubted for one moment that he was the chosen one? But he did, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he was truly the expected one or if they had to wait for another.
John knew that Jesus was Messiah (the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world) (Matt 3:13-17, Mark 1:7-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:29-34).

However, John wavered in his faith after he had been cast into prison.

John wavered in his faith even after seeing the Spirit of God descending like a dove and after hearing the voice from heaven.

Mark, who is believed to have been the son of Peter and John the beloved disciple of Jesus, both ignore the physical birth of Jesus as being totally irrelevant and begin their account of the salvation of the body of man, with his baptism
I do not believe Mark was the son of Peter. Mark was the son of Mary (Acts 12:12) and cousin to Barnabas (Col 4:10).

If Peter was Mark's father, why would Acts 12:12 say that Peter went to Mary's house (the mother of John, whose surname was Mark)? If Peter was Mark's father, wouldn't Acts 12:12 have said that Peter went to his own home?

The reason there are four gospels is because each gospel gives an account of the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in light of His ministry on earth.

Matthew presents the Lord as King.

Mark presents the Lord as Servant.

Luke presents the Lord as Man.

John presents the Lord as the Son of God.

Mark does not include a genealogy because our Lord Jesus Christ is presented a servant.

John does not include a genealogy because our Lord Jesus Christ is presented as Son of the Most High God.

Who today is seen as the shepherd of God's people, or rather, who today claims to be the shepherd of God's people?
The spirit of God is our shepherd through Jesus Christ our Lord.

ezekiel 34:11-16 "For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.12As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

13And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. 16I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment."

John 10:3-18 "To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
7
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. ......14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

1 peter 2:21-25 "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himselfto him that judgeth righteously: 24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

S-word………..Everyone will have noticed that you jumped from verse 20 to 24, and avoided Matt 1: 23; which states that all this happened to make come true, what the Lord said through his prophet [Isaiah] an [ALMAH] = an unmarried female who is pregnant etc.

Nothing there about a virgin, and if you are a serious student of the scriptures you will know that The Good New Bible Catholic Study Edition, The New English Bible, the Revise Standard Bible, and others have now corrected the erroneous KJV translation of Isaiah 7: 14; which stated that a virgin who is pregnant etc, and all now read, “A YOUNG WOMAN, who is pregnant etc.

The Amplified Version: Galatians 4: 29; Yet at that time, the child born according to the flesh (Ishmael) despised and persecuted him (Isaac) who was born of Gods promise and the workings/power of The Holy Spirit.

Isaac, the son of Abraham and his half sister Sarah, who were both sired by Terah of different mothers, and was born according to the workings/power of the Holy Spirit, was a prototype of the man Jesus.

Isaac was born of Gods promise, according to the power of the Holy Spirit and was offered up as a sacrifice by his father on the very spot that Jesus was offered up, but Isaac did not die there, because God had prepared a sacrificial offering to die in his place.

Like the story of Mary, an Angel, appeared to Sarah, who was one of the men that ate of the meal offered to them by Abraham, and he told Sarah that she was going to become pregnant and bear the child of Gods Promise.

Likewise Jesus, the son of Mary and her half brother Joseph the son of Heli, who were sired by Alexander Helios also called Heli, was born according to the promise of the Lord, and according to the workings of the Holy Spirit. Mary was also informed by a messanger of God, that she would become pregnant and bear a descendant of King David. He too was offered up as a sacrifice, by He who had become his spiritual father on the day of his baptism, when the spirit of our Lord and saviour, descended upon him in the form of a dove, and said; You are my son,
THIS DAY I have begotten thee.

Reneweddaybyday…………Mary was the cousin of Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist.

S-word…………..
The Ancestors of Jesus in First and Second Century Judea BCE By Robert Mock M.D.

Book One
Chapter Two

This young maiden, Miriam, was a child of sorrow. Her father, Heli, a Davidic and Hasmonean prince, called Alexander Helios III”, was apparently executed, in the world where many Davidian aspirants, as the “young lions of Judah”, were eliminated by the cruel and tyrannical King Herod the Great., Etc.

A son
of the famous Boethus family of seven sons, Mary’s great-great-great grandfather, arrived into Jewish history as one of the giants of the priests of the House of Zadok. The High PriestHananeel (Ananelus) the Egyptian/Jewwas privileged to sacrifice one of the nine red heifers before the temple of Herod was destroyed in 70

AD.

The great grandfather of the biblical Jesus was Yehoshua/Jesus III, who was the high priest in Jerusalem from 36 to 23 BC. The sonless Yehoshua, had three elderly daughters, Joanna, Elizabeth and Anna/Hanna,
etc.The great grandfather of the biblical Jesus was Yehoshua/Jesus III, who was the high priest in Jerusalem from 36 to 23 BC. The sonless Yehoshua, had three elderly daughters, Joanna, Elizabeth and Anna/Hanna, whose mother was ‘Phanul’ from the tribe of Asher.

Knowing that his Zadokian lineage would become extinct unless his daughters were placed with future husbands according to the Torah, he married them off to chosen husbands.
Joanna, was betrothed to Joachim from the non-royal genetic lineage of David. The second daughter of Yehoshua III, was Elizabeth. This was the Elizabeth, who, at a very advanced age was to become the mother of John the Baptist in 7 BC, some 16 years after the death of her father in 23 BC, and she was betrothed to a Levite priest by the name Zacharias of the priestly course of Abijah.

Hanna/Anna, the third daughter, was betrothed to Alexander Helios (Heli) a young Macedonian Jew, of the tribe of Judah through Nathan the Levite,
the son of Bathsheba, who was the stepson of King David.

Jesus was born in 6 BC, two years before the death of Herod the Great, who died in 4 BC, it is said that
Yehoshua/Jesus III, the granfather of Mary, died three years before her birth. If his death ended his term as high priest in 23 BC , this means that Mary, the daughter of Hanna/Anna and young neice of her mothers sister, Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist, was born in 20 BC and was 14 years old when Her first son ‘Jesus’ was born in 6 BC.

Renewed day by day wrote…………
John knew that Jesus was Messiah (the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world) (Matt 3:13-17, Mark 1:7-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:29-34).

S-word……….John certainly did believe that Jesus, the son of his cousin Mary was the one CHOSEN by the Lord to be the messiah, but not until after he came up out of the baptiamal waters of the Jordan.

John 1: 32; And John gave this testimony. I saw the spirit come down like a dove from heaven and stay on him. I still did not know that he was the one, but God, [not Jesus] who sent me to baptise with water, had said to me,
“You will see the spirit come down and stay on a man; he is the one who baptises with the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen it,” said John, “And I tell you, that he is the son of God.”

So when we take all of the scriptures concerning Jesus, before he began his ministery, we see that he was born physically some six to nine months after John, by the union of Johns cousin Mary and her half brother, Joseph the son of her father ‘Alexander Helios,’ Luke 3: 23.’

Then in Matthew we read; “And that this happened in order to make come true what the Lord had said through his prophet; “An [ALMAH] an unmarried female who is pregnant will bear a son and he will be called Immanuel, which means God is with us.”

Neither Mark or John the beloved disciple, saw the physical birth of Jesus as anything miraculuos, in fact they totally ignore it, beginning their accout of the salvation of mankind, with his spiritual birth on the day he was baptised, and CHOSEN as the heir and successor to the throne of the most high in the creation.

Reneweddaybyday……………
However, John wavered in his faith after he had been cast into prison.

John wavered in his faith even after seeing the Spirit of God descending like a dove and after hearing the voice from heaven.

S-word…………Correct!
John wavered in his faith even after seeing the Spirit of God descending like a dove and after hearing the voice from heaven, which said, “You are my son, THIS DAY I have begotten thee.”

John saw Jesus, who was some 9 months younger than he, as a greater teaher than himself and believed that he was not worthy enough to baptise him, but he did not know that he was the chosen one until after he had baptised him and saw the spirit of the Lord descend and fill his chosen one with his spirit, as the Lord had previoulely said through his prophet Isaiah 42: 1; The Lord says. “Here is my servant, whom I strengthen-----the one I have CHOSEN with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my spirit and he will bring justice to every nation.”

After witnessing the spiritual birth of the man Jesus, when he was filled with the spirit of the Lord, it was then that John declared that Jesus, the son of his cousin Mary, was the CHOSEN son of God our saviour.

In Luke 3: 22; (In place of Thou art my beloved son in who I am well pleased.) The following authorities of the second, third, and fourth centuries read, This day I have begotten thee, vouched for by Codex D, and the most ancient copies of the old latin (a, b. c. ff.I), by Justin Martyr (AD 140), Clemens Alex, (AD. 190), Methodius (AD. 290), among the Greeks. And among the Latins, Lactaitius (AD 300), Hilary (AD) Juvencus (AD. 330), Faustus (AD. 400) and Augustine. All these oldest manuscripts were changed completely. They now read, This is my son in whom I am well pleased.Whereas the original variant was, Thou art my Son. This day I have begotten thee.

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..I do not believe Mark was the son of Peter. Mark was the son of Mary (Acts 12:12) and cousin to Barnabas (Col 4:10).

S-word………..John was the beloved disciple, to whom Jesus had entrusted the care of his mother, even though she had another 3 sons plus daughters, and John was the brother of James the elder, who was executed, and they, James the elder and John the beloved, were the two disciples who Jesus had named “The Sons of Thunder.” Young John the beloved disciple of Jesus, from whose memoirs was written the gospel of John, was later surnamed ‘MARK’ which means, “Hammer or the Hammerer.”

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..If Peter was Mark's father, why would Acts 12:12 say that Peter went to Mary's house (the mother of John, whose surname was Mark)? If Peter was Mark's father, wouldn't Acts 12:12 have said that Peter went to his own home?

S-word………..It is written in Acts 1: 14; that the disciples would frequently gather together in prayer with the women and with Mary the mother of Jesus etc. John 19: 26; reveals that on the cross, Jesus said to his mother concerning Young John whom he loved, “He is your son,” then he said to his beloved disciple, “She is your mother.” From that time John took Mary to LIVE IN HIS HOME.It was to the house of John, that Peter ran, knowing that the brethren would be gathered there with Mary the adopted mother of John, praying for his safety.

Matthew 8: 14; Mark 1: 30; and Luke 4: 38; all reveal that Peter had a wife and I think we can safely assume that they would have had children. 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Peter 5: 13; Peter sends his greetings and so does his son Mark. Not John who was surnamed MARK THE HAMMER, who was the adopted son of Mary the sister of Joseph the Levite from Cyprus, who was nick named Barnabas, But Mark the son of Peter. See KJV Colossians 4: 10; Mark who is the sister's son to Barnabas.

Reneweddayvyday wrote…………..The reason there are four gospels is because each gospel gives an account of the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in light of His ministry on earth.

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..Matthew presents the Lord as King.

S-word…………All four gospels present Jesus as the future king, the CHOSEN Messiah.

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..Mark presents the Lord as Servant.

S-word…………So does Acts 3: 13; which states that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has given divine glory to his servant Jesus, as does Isaiah 42:1.

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..Luke presents the Lord as Man.

S-word………As a human being conceived from the union of Mary and Joseph the Levite, who are both the children of Heli/Alexander Helios III.

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..John presents the Lord as the Son of God.

S-word………..Only after he had been born of Gods Spirit with which he was filled as the heavenly voice was heard to say; “You are my son, THIS DAY [The day of his baptism] I have begotten thee.”

Reneweddaybyday wrote………..
Mark does not include a genealogy because our Lord Jesus Christ is presented a servant. John does not include a genealogy because our Lord Jesus Christ is presented as Son of the Most High God.

S-word……….Neither Mark or John record a genealogy, because the physical birth of the man Jesus was of no real importance to them, They were more concerned with his spiritual birth and begin their accounts of the salvation, with the baptism of Jesus when he was filled with the spirit of the Lord.

The genealogy recorded in Matthew has nothing to do with Jesus, but is the genealogy of Joseph the son of Jacob, who married the already pregnant Mary and had no sexual relations with her until she had given birth to Jesus the son of Joseph ben Alexander Helios.

It is in the genealogy of the man Jesus as recorded in Luke 3: 23; that we find that the physical father of Jesus, was Joseph the son of Heli.

I have said this before and I will say it again.

Zechariah 11: 12 40 17; I said to them, “If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!” So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them.”

So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Then I cut in pieces my second staff Union, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
[SUP]
15 [/SUP]The Lord said to me, “Take again for yourself the equipment of a foolish shepherd. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]“Woe to the worthless shepherd
Who leaves the flock!
A sword will be on his arm
And on his right eye!
His arm will be totally withered
And his right eye will be blind.”

So who do you think is the worthless shepherd that the Lord, who filled his obedient servant 'Jesus; with his spirit, raised up in the land after he had been paid his majestic wage of thirty pieces of silver, by the Jews?

Which religious organisation has succeeded the Jewish church, and claims to be the earthly representation of Jesus, the heavenly shepherd of Gods people?

Do you believe that God lied through his prophet and did not raise up that worthless shepherd, or do you believe that he did, and if so, where would we find that worthless shepherd of God's people who he has risen up in the earth?

Were you there when He was crucified?
when they cried out crucify HIM...let HIS blood be upon us and our children, who were they?

jews, romans?

or a mixture of both those under the covenant and those outside the covenant

and who was it who chose to save the lifeblood of a murderer rather than the innocent lifeblood of the LORD of life?

The answer to your question, "Was I there when Jesus was crucified? "Yes! While reading the account of the crucifixion, I was mentally/spiritually carried to Jerusalem where I witnessed the scene.

And it was the Jews who murdered Jesus, using the Roman Guards as we would use a gun to kill someone; as Peter said to the Jews in Acts 2: 23; In accordance with his own plan God had already decided that Jesus would be handed over to you; and you [The Jews] killed him by letting sinful men crucify him."

After being paid his majestic wage of Thirty pieces of silver, the Lord fulfilled the wishes of those Jews, who had cried out; "Let his blood be on our heads and the heads of our children." He then Rejected them and raised up in the land, a worthless shepherd.

I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”
So whose words were they? Were they the words of Jesus, who, according to Peter was the one who God said to Moses in Deuteronomy 18: 18; "I will send them a prophet like you from among their own people. I will tell him what to say, and he will tell the people everything I command. He will speak in my name, etc.

Were they the words of Jesus, who said that they were not his word, but the words of He who sent him, Jesus who said that he spoke not one word on his own authority, but only that which he was commanded to say?

Or were they the words of the Lord, who had filled the man Jesus with his spirit on the day he was baptised?

Whose words were these in reference to the body of Jesus which had been filled by the spirit of the Lord which had descended upon him in the form of a dove?

"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up?"

If those were the words of the man Jesus, we would expect to see that Jesus raised himself from death, but if they were the words of the Lord who filled the man Jesus with his spirit and chose him to speak in his name, then they would have been the words that the Lord commanded his obedient servant Jesus to speak, and we would expect to see that it was the Lord who raised the man Jesus to life, as seen in...............

Acts 17: 31; For He (The Lord) has fixed a day in which he will judge the whole world with justice by means of a MAN he has CHOSEN. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising that MAN from death.

Acts 5: 30; The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree.

Acts 13: 30; But God raised him from the dead: and he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee, etc.

1st Corinthians 6: 14; And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

2nd Corinthians 1: 9; But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead.

2nd Corinthians 4: 14; knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.

S-word………..Everyone will have noticed that you jumped from verse 20 to 24, and avoided Matt 1: 23
And everyone will have noticed that you did not address the verses posted:

Matthew 1:

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

...

24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And verse 25 corroborates vss 22-23 (that Mary was a virgin at the time she was found with child of the Holy Ghost):

Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

In Luke, when the angel announced to Mary that she would conceive a child, Mary questioned the angel and asked How shall this be, seeing I know not a man (Luke 1:34). The angel replied The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee (Luke 1:35).

More diversion from what is plainly written. From the discussion the angel of the Lord had with Mary:

Luke 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

Peter did not run to the house of John. It is clear from Acts 12:12 that Peter ran to the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark.

Acts 12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Then according to your own words, if the Marcus mentioned in 1 Peter 5:13 is the biological son of Peter, he cannot be the same as the John Mark of Acts 12:12:

You claim (in your post #84):

"1[SUP]st[/SUP] Peter 5: 13; Peter sends his greetings and so does his son Mark. Not John who was surnamed MARK THE HAMMER,"

You also claim (in your post #73):

"Mark, who is believed to have been the son of Peter and John the beloved disciple of Jesus, both ignore the physical birth of Jesus as being totally irrelevant ... "

When the angel released Peter from prison, Peter went to the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark.

It is believed the gospel of Mark was written by John Mark. By your own words, the Marcus of 1 Peter 5:13 cannot be the same as the John Mark of Acts 12:12, the author of the gospel of Mark.

S-word……….Neither Mark or John record a genealogy, because the physical birth of the man Jesus was of no real importance to them, They were more concerned with his spiritual birth and begin their accounts of the salvation, with the baptism of Jesus when he was filled with the spirit of the Lord.
Please review the information provided at this link (bold mine):

Summary

Since all of the Gospels in the Bible tell the story of the same man, Jesus Christ, why did we need four different accounts? Given the overlap we observe in the Gospels, it may seem as if one Gospel would have been sufficient. In his book, Why Four Gospels, Arthur Pink explains how the four Gospels necessarily work together to paint a multi-faceted picture of Jesus. In Matthew, we see Jesus as the Son of David, King of the Jews. In Mark, Jesus is presented as the Servant of Jehovah. In Luke, we see Jesus as the Son of Man, Adam's descendent. Finally, John presents Jesus as the Son of God, emphasizing Jesus' relationship with the Divine. Christ fulfilled four distinct roles during his time on earth, and these four roles are illustrated in the four distinct Gospels. Pink's Why Four Gospels will give Christians a better understanding of Jesus' earthly ministry.

The genealogy recorded in Matthew has nothing to do with Jesus, but is the genealogy of Joseph the son of Jacob, who married the already pregnant Mary and had no sexual relations with her until she had given birth to Jesus the son of Joseph ben Alexander Helios.
"the already pregnant Mary". We know from Scripture that The Holy Ghost shall come upon [Mary] and the power of the Highest shall overshadow [Mary] (Luke 1:35). See also Matthew 1 that Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost (Matt 1:18) and that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost (Matt 1:20).

Also, Mark 1:1 the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the son of God

And John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

The only begotten Son. Only begotten = Greek monogenēs, an interesting word found in the following Scriptures:

Luke 7:12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only (monogenēs) son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Luke 8:42 For he had one only
(monogenēs) daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

Luke 9:38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child
(monogenēs).

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten (monogenēs) of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten
(monogenēs) Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
(monogenēs) Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten
(monogenēs) Son of God.

Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten
(monogenēs) son,

1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten
(monogenēs) Son into the world, that we might live through him.

It is clear from Scripture that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, born of Mary after the power of the Highest overshadoweded her (Luke 1:35).

The born again believers are also called sons of God (John 1:12, Rom 8:14, Rom 8:19, Phil 2:15, 1 John 3:1,2). However, there is only one "only begotten Son of God" and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus willingly gave up His life in obedience to our God 'The Son of Man/God' who filled the earthy body of the man Jesus who was his obedient servant, through whom he worked his mighty miracles and through whom he spoke his words of salvation.

Deuteronomy 18: 18; YHVH, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, says to Moses; "I will send them a prophet like you from among their own people; I will tell him what to say, and he will tell the people everything I command. He will speak in my name etc.

Who is the prophet that the God/JHWH is referring to here?

Peter confirms that Jesus was that man, when in reference to Jesus he says in. Acts 3: 22; For Moses said; "The Lord your God will send you a prophet, just as he sent me, and he will be one of your own people, etc." Do you believe the words of Peter?

Catholic Study Edition , GNB Acts 3: 19-20; Repent then and turn to God (Not Jesus) so that he will forgive your sins. If you do, times of spiritual strength will come from the Lord, and He will send Jesus, who is the Messiah that he has already CHOSEN for you

Did the people of his day believe that he was the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God of our ancestors? No, they did not, for on the day of his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the people escorting him cried out, "BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD" Verifying that they believed Jesus to be the one that God had promised that he would choose from among the Israelites, and send to the people to speak in his name.

Jesus who admits that he spoke not one word on his own authority, but only that which he was commanded to say by our Lord God and saviour, says in John 5: 24; "Whoever hear my words (The words that he was commanded to say) and believes in "HIM" who sent me, has eternal life.

You must believe in "HIM" who sent Jesus to inherit eternal life.

John 14: 24; "And the word which you hear is not mine, but the father's who sent me.

Whose words were these in reference to the body of Jesus which had been filled by the spirit of the Lord which had descended upon him in the form of a dove?

The Amplified Version: Galatians 4: 29; Yet at that time, the child born according to the flesh (Ishmael) despised and persecuted him (Isaac) who was born of Gos promise and the workings/power of The Holy Spirit.

Isaac, the son of Abraham and his half sister Sarah, who were both sired by the one father, of different mothers, and was born according to the workings/power of the Holy Spirit, was a prototype of the man Jesus.

He was born of Gods promise according to the power of the Holy Spirit, offered up as a sacrifice by his father on the very spot that Jesus was offered up, but he didnt die, because a sacrificial offering that God had prepared, died in his place.

An Angel, who was a man that ate of the meal offered to him by Abraham, told Sarah that she was going to become pregnant and bear the child of God
s Promise.

Likewise Jesus, the son of Mary and her half brother Joseph the son of Heli, who was also the father of Mary, was born according to the promise of the Lord, and according to the workings of the Holy Spirit, Mary was informed by a messenger of God, that she would become pregnant and bear a descendant of King David. He too was offered up as a sacrifice, by his father who had descended upon him in the form of a dove, and said; You are my son, THIS DAY I have begotten thee.

Was Isaac who was born of Gods promise according to the power of the Holy Spirit, also born as a Son of God?

Only the Lord Jesus Christ is referred to as the only begotten (Gr. monogenēs) of the Father.

In Hebrews 11:17, Isaac is referred to as the only begotten (Gr. monogenēs) of Abraham:

Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.

Not only that, but Hebrews 11:19 says that Abraham reckoned that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead.

And when we read the record in Genesis 22, Abraham took two of his young men with him and Isaac, his son (Gen 22:3) and on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off (Gen 22:4). Then Abraham and Isaac left the two men and went the rest of the way. In Gen 22:5, Abraham told the two men Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

Abraham fully believed that both he and his son, Isaac, would return.

Abraham fully believed that both he and his son, Isaac, would return.
There is only one man in scripture, who is recorded as having been carried to the Throne of the MOST HIGH in the creation, where he was anointed [The Christ] to stand before the face of the Most High into all eternity, and was translated in order that he should never experience death.

Hebrews 10: 5-7; For this reason, when Christ, the heavenly anointed one, was about to come into this world, He said to God: You do not want sacrifices and offerings, but a body you have prepared for me.

That body was the man Jesus, who was chosen as the heir and successor of the anointed one, when he was filled with the spirit of our Lord and saviour, who descended in the form of a dove, as Jesus came up out of the baptismal waters of the Jordan, and the heavenly voice was heard to say, You are my son, THIS DAY I have begotten thee.

Hebrew 5: 7; In his days in the flesh (Before he was he was given divine glory by God) , Jesus made his prayers and requests with loud cries and tears to God, who could save him from death. Because he was humble and devoted, God heard him. But even though he was Ason of God [Not Gods son, nor THESon of God, but Ason of God] He had to learn through suffering to become obedient, [To his indwelling spirit] when he was finally made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who believed the words of the Lord as spoken through his obedient servant Jesus.

And it was then, after having been brought to perfection through his sufferings, that the Lord declared him to be High priest , in the priestly order of Melchizedek.

Heb 5: 5; Not that Jesus took upon himself the honour of being High priest, instead, the Lord made him High Priest with these words as he came up out to the baptismal waters of the Jordan; You are my Son, TODAY I have become your Father, or rather, Today I have begotten thee..

yes

the very title of Bill O'Reilly's book, "
Killing Jesus" is a ridiculous, impossible lie.

God is not "
killed" -- that's stupid to even imagine as possible.

When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said,
"Truly this man was the Son of God!"

The answer to your question, "Was I there when Jesus was crucified? "Yes! While reading the account of the crucifixion, I was mentally/spiritually carried to Jerusalem where I witnessed the scene.

what did you see?

shakyou see what he sees?
Yep! While reading of the crucifixion, and being carried in spirit to that time, I witnessed the mountains as they were shaken violently, by the explosion of the incoming heavenly object, the shadow of which had darkened the city of Jerusalem for some three hours, and I heard the centurion, say of the man Jesus, who had been filled with the spirit of our Lord and saviour on the day of his Baptism, as the heavenly voice was heard to say, "You are my son THIS DAY I have begotten thee," "Truly this man was the Son of God."
