"What is our purpose?"
Let's take one thing into consideration using the following analogy.
Let's say that "white supremacist's" agenda/purpose is to elevate themselves because of the black race, and the "black lives matter's" agenda/purpose is to elevate themselves according to their self established purpose by accusation of the white race.
Now with that, both purposes would end without the other's purpose that is against them. They both accuse each other for starting the conflict because the other party is not assisting in their self indulgent purpose. If they attempt to help in the other's purpose, then unending advantage would be taken of the giver by the recipient. Doesn't this sound like Israel's downfall in the OT?
What I'm presenting here, is that there is no purpose that means anything if it isn't based on an everlasting purpose.
The canal mind evaluates that if the other guy refuses to assist my purpose, he/she is my enemy. I cannot fulfil my purpose of self establishment if others stand in the way of my agenda. So my purpose becomes accusatory in order to elevate myself where I think I ought to be.
This is a tactic of the adversary, and narcissistic at the least. If we fail in our own self established purpose (and we always will), then it becomes imperative to find a "scapegoat" to blame. If the scapegoat fails to exist, we find ourselves without a purpose. Agitation toward others, necessitated by the carnal mind, becomes imperative, and schism (enmity) is invariably the outcome.
The word of God is totality contrary to these carnal fleshly purposes.
Ephesians 3:8-12 [SUP]8 [/SUP]Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; [SUP]9 [/SUP]And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: [SUP]10 [/SUP]To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, [SUP]11 [/SUP]According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: [SUP]12 [/SUP]In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
