Thank you. Another way to look at it. The disgust modern people see against those acts are consequence of the law. I knew I'll find answers here.
Amen brother.

Look God chose Israel or that id to say Abraham as His people for the sole purpose of showing His might. They were supposed to be God's witness to the world and they succeed and failed. But Israel today is God's ultimate witness. It was prophicied that Israel would once again be a nation and it's in our face. David said " thou preparest a table for me in the presence of mine enemies" that is exactly what God is doing present day.

Sorry, Allin. I can not and won't contradict your points. It has meaning and depth. But it still misses the answer I'm looking for. I can not explain it further. Maybe, I'll just have to research and pray more. Thanks a lot though.
It's a good thing that you know enough to wait on God's revelation to teach (cement truth into) you; Jesus and the Bible make it abundantly clear (though many have forgotten and refuse to remember) that the Holy Spirit is the only One who reveals (makes sense of and cements into a person) the truth: "The anointing you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you" (1Jn. 2:27) is saying you have no need to follow or ascribe to anyone's teaching since the Spirit is your Teacher (i.e. the One who reveals or cements truth to people). The Holy Spirit is to lead and guide Christians individually and corporately into truth as we all do our part to pursue, listen to, read, learn, and experience the truth.

Actually GOD does not tolerate such sins. HE gives humans the freedom of choice which we know as freewill. Adam was made perfect and made his perfect choice to sin against GOD therefore his children would inherit this sin nature. GOD's LOVE for HIS creation allowed HIM to offer HIS SON to be a Living Sacrifice for those who accept HIM(JESUS). So HE does not tolerate sin HE made a way out, escape from HIS Wrath.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Blessings!!!!!!!
It may surprise you the sins God has tolerated and continues to tolerate this second. All through this 24 hour day, He will tolerate sins that run the gamut. Tolerate does not mean to approve nor does it mean to agree; it means to allow, tolerate, or put up with. Moses put up with Israel and became angry; though he was wrong, God had also told Moses that He too was putting up with Israel (Moses was out of line because he was angry at the wrong time).

As for God's tolerance, there are seasons and settings. God will tolerate some things in one setting that He won't in another setting. (In the average church where His presence is not strong, God will allow and tolerate all kinds of sin: pastors will commit adultery or become involved in financial scams or homosexual lust, etc. But the stronger His presence is in any given locale, the less sin He will tolerate. This is the testimony of the Bible, of history, and of our present day.) God apparently also has seasons where He allows or tolerates things and then seasons when He doesn't. From Israel's prolonged captivity of 430 years in Egypt till the perfect exact time Jesus was born on earth, the Bible is replete with God's seasons and settings; but let's look at just one example of each:

1. Seasons: Paul said to pagans, "These times (the seasons) of ignorance God overlooked but now commands all men everywhere (in this new season) to repent" (Acts 17:30).

2. Settings: Jesus said to His Church, "I have a few things against you, because you allow (tolerate) that woman Jezebel" (Rev. 2:20).

God is not simple in the way we may see Him: His ways are way above ours. He is good and loving, but at least three times in the Bible, we see that satan had audience with God and that satan and God seemed to 'work together' on a course of action. (The case of Job, of Micaiah vs. Ahab, and of Peter in the NT.) Let's not make God less than He really is; He does tolerate sin (not that He wants to) because of seasons, settings, Grace, and judgment.

Interesting. But I don't think I will like it. I have to push myself three or more times every time to get through Leviticus and Numbers than any other books of the Bible.
Oh, I agree. Leviticus and Numbers are very difficult books to read (or to find the motivation to read). But this book brings richness to those books of Law. Although there is much information therein about the Border Sacrifice ceremony, it doesn't read like Leviticus or Numbers. :)
