Roman Catholics believe many things about Mary that cannot be shown to be so in Scripture,
yet at the same time Roman Catholics will claim that they base their beliefs on the the earliest
Christians writers, who agree with them. This is blatantly false. None of the apostles, who were
the earliest Christian writers, ever mentioned the Roman Catholics heresies concerning Mary.
For instance, no apostle ever said anything about the immaculate conception of Mary.
No apostle ever said anything about Mary being sinless her whole life.
No apostle ever said anything about Mary needing to be sinless so
that Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, could be sinless.
No apostle ever said anything about the bodily assumption of Mary to heaven.
No apostle ever said anything about praying to Mary.
In fact, Jesus instructed us to pray to our Father in heaven.
No apostle ever said anything about Mary being able to mediate on our behalf.
Scripture says there is but one mediator between God and man: Jesus Christ.
No apostle ever said anything about Mary's perpetual virginity.
The apostles told us of His earthly brothers and sisters.
Jesus said anyone who did the will of His Father was His mother, His brother, His sister.
No apostle ever said anything about Mary being the mother of humanity or the queen of heaven.
No apostle ever elevated Mary above others, nor did Jesus.
Bottom line: Roman Catholics elevate the traditions of man above the revealed written Word of God.
To do this, Roman Catholics proclaim a mere mortal infallible in his papal proclamations, so that when
Roman Catholic popes speak their heresies, they bind their Roman Catholics followers to accept them.
