I don't know anyone who professes to be saved that does not know that is the precious blood of Jesus that cleansed them of their sin, and made it possible for them to be called the children of God. Every Christian I have ever met knows AT LEAST one Scripture by heart, that being John 3:16.

John, Chapter 3:

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
this is nice scripture.

I believe I covered why we can know in my post, and this verse was in my mind.

And I believe it was a valid question for people to have a valid query that is all

Whilst you can know this verse and believe it for some they want to feal it.

I wonder if because they can't feal it, does it then become impossible for them to believe it

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. We are saved by grace Through faith.

Romans 10:9-10If we confess with our mouths and Believe in our Heart That Jesus Christ is Lord, we shall be saved.

Jesus said to believe in HIM, and you shall be saved. John chapter 3:16-19

The Holy Spirit has enabled one to believe and see their need for Christ.

I was never truly in full belief until I knew some things.

I don't suppose you would like to know what that is do you ?

Titus 3:4-7 KJV
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life

missed the d
There is something valid to the title tho which is no disrespect to anyone.

I know we can be assured we are saved and we can feel we are saved by how we are as people and how we feel inside.

But I often struggle understanding can we truly know we have our salvation.

I know we can know from what the word teaches us. But I'm talking about the final day, can we truly know that final day will come before it's come.

Yes we can in many ways from the word too

But can we take it for granted before it's come
edit

But I often struggled understanding can we truly know we have our salvation.

As you can see I left the d

Not really, because it is a logical fallacy. Not knowing if you/they are choosing to believe
Jesus correctly or not, does not equate to believing it is not necessary to believe Jesus.

Who are "these people?" Those of us who are saved, know we are saved, believe we are saved, AND feel we are saved. I submit that
IF a person can not feel the change in their hearts, they may well NOT be saved. IMO, there is no way a person can experience the wonderous experience of salvation, and NOT feel it.

a logical fallacy for those who believe and feal and know.

But not a logical fallacy for those who don't.

YES! Those of us who are saved KNOW we are saved! Any who question/doubt their salvation probably are not saved IMO.

But not a logical fallacy for those who don't.
It has nothing to do whether one is confident or not. The question was,

Why do so many people say they are saved by Jesus when, by their own admission, they don't even know if they
are choosing to believe Jesus correctly or not? And it was tied to,
Why don't they believe it is necessary to believe
Jesus?
Not having confidence has nothing to do with whether or not one believes it is necessary to believe.

I have not received an answer yet to how soon it was after OP repented and believed that they had no more fear or doubt.

That we are exhorted to work out our own salvation with fear and
trembling means fear/doubt is to be expected, don't you think?

9 Bible verses about Knowing I Am Saved - Online Bible

1 John 5:13) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Acts 16:31) They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Romans 10:9-10) that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Romans 8:1) Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Ephesians 1:13-14)In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

John 10:28-30) and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Hebrews 6:18-20) so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek

well I know the poster hopefully believes he will go to the promised land I would say having hope on your heart is a good sign he can believe and know that he is.

But does he know believe and feal.

I have developed this mentality to find out where the weakness is 😊

The thread was not made to be about them (the OP), but those who struggle. And then
those
who struggle are maligned, and then essentially condemned for that struggle.

Do you think that is a fair way to deal with those new to the faith, and/or struggling?
