Pretty interesting. One theory is the devil wanted to get the Israelites to make a shrine of Moses's grave and get them to worship him - which is why God kept the burial place a secret. De 34:5-7

Another theory is that it is being "kept on ice" for the end of time when the two witnesses rise up from Revelation 11.

I'm prone to believe the first theory. What do you think?

Kyra, you are a woman after my own heart those where my theories before I even posted - I like to see what people thing.

So here is what I thought .....1) Because Satan wanted the body to be found by Israel and worshiped as a sacred relic. I know that Israel later worship the Serpent of brass Mosses once made. 2) Because Maybe Satan wanted Moses body so He could not Appear with Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration.

I never really thought about that Kyra. Interesting insight....that would be likely as well considering the peoples habits.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
If Moses died then I dont think he's coming back at the end in Revelation as one of the 2 witnesses...Enoch was the First Law giver......Moses the second
then Why would the adversary seek the body of Moses?Zec 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Zec 3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
Zec 3:4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
Zec 3:5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
Zec 3:6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
Zec 3:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
Zec 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
Zec 3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Zec 3:10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
I think were missing the whole point in this verse.Note that the name Joshuah means Savior
yeh-ho-shoo'-ah, yeh-ho-shoo'-ah
From H3068 and H3467; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (that is, Joshua), the Jewish leader: - Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Compare H1954, H3442.
yâsha‛
yaw-shah'

In my opinion, all of you are right. The Lesson taught here is that nobody has the right to rebuke Satan. Jesus said, " Satan sins since the beginningf so he was made evil.

Nah, I don't know if I should involve myself in this environmental biblical profound knowledge kinda thingy,
but I tend to agree with Kyra, not because of what she says, but because of what the Bible says.
I mean, the more precise answer would be coming from Satan's satanicalifidelimerself, and I feel kinda
sorry for Satan, and I might just give a consolation; "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
If that's what this is all about. :p

*Oh, tell Betsy, I got another one, lol*

Seeing as to how Moses spoke unadvisedly when he was angered at the people (Ps.106:32-33) AT Massah/Moribah (Ex.17:1-7), he wasn't allowed to enter into the promised land, and died (Deut. 34:1-8). It is not good to assume when referring to scripture, but let us look at the cirumstance: Moses was lirterally a forerunner of Jesus Christ, a precursor, and/or a predecessor. Satan had himself a prize and doubtless to say wanted Moses' body to see coruption(cf. Acts 13:36); nonetheless, as a forerunner of Christ Moses' body had to be taken up: as Jesus body was not found neither was Moses' body found (Duet. 34:6)
