One view of this verse is that we are always is sin, always sinning, slaves to sin we cannot get out of it.
On the other hand it can be viewed we are born in sin, and sin at various points in our lives, which Christ
can resolve through the cross, repentance and faith.

Now those who follow OSAS tend to live in unbelief that we can walk as Jesus walked.
This makes OSAS just a realistic view, we are lost in sin and only coming to faith at some point saves us.

If the impossible is true, the path is to be like Jesus, then your expression this is impossible is exactly
what I am saying, unbelief in Jesus's message.

And if you disbelief Jesus, and His word, then there is no eternal life.
So I have to thank those who so want to destroy righteous people as hypocrites, it has knocked away
the blindness of the unbelief and error, to see being yoked to Jesus, is to walk like Him.

And as you show, your theology leads people to deny Christ.

A sign of disbelief. How does your heart react to these words

Be Holy, do not be impure, aim at perfection, if you want to be perfect follow me.

My immediate reaction is impossible, another nail in the coffin of ridiculous optimism.
But if Jesus is the Son of God, and the cross is the transformation of the heart of man, and Jesus is
doing the impossible, then I can listen to Him, and believe Him and the apostles.

But I just call people to start to just listen to Jesus and ask is this their heart?
And then for us to learn as a body to walk in blamelessness, purity and holiness as Paul exhorts us to do.

God bless you all, dear Holy brother and sisters in Christ.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Rest from what, exactly?

Did the Lord Jesus go to someone greater than Himself and receive Rest from His Labour and what He was Laden by?

No, He didn't.

So What the Lord Offers us is different than the way the Lord walked. We couldn't possibly HANDLE the Lords Walk.

Rest from the struggle of proving something to the world that you have value, Jesus shows us the Lord of all loves
us and is willing to care for us.

His burden is the burden of loving sinners while being rejected.
This is the walk of people who know they are loved, who are healed and can love, yet can take the blows the lost
will strike them with and still love in return.

And yes, with a transformed heart, the cross before us, the Holy Spirit in us and praise of God on our lips, we
can handle this.

Unfortunately your declaration we cannot handle His walk declares your faith and its unbelief.
The Lord loves you and desires to meet your real needs and bring healing and transformation to you today.

Thank you Jesus for your work in my life, how you lead me from a place of loneliness, to a place of knowing
I am loved by the King of Kings and healing me of distrust, cynicism, hurt, bitterness, hatred, anger, lostness
and brought me into this place of knowing I am yours. Praise you Holy Name, Lord Jesus Christ, Amen

What???

This is surreal.

The Lord gives us rest from the struggle of proving something to the world?

Which commandment was it that told us to prove something to the world???

I see we mean different things. You think people are struggling to be obedient or moral.
I think people are struggling to please those around them and be "successful" nothing to do
with religion or morality.

So your struggle is with the law and religious justification, and faith in Jesus bring us rest
from being moral.

If this was true, I can come to faith and live totally selfishly, killing and butchering to aid my
own ends, knowing I am going to heaven. I have met an idiology that said this.
A man murdered someone else, it was labelled as judgement, and they loved it.
And they could go on doing what they loved, because it had a God seal on it. This is the
crusader morality. Not a good place or anything to do with God.

But I see how the words of struggle could fit many models.

People who grow up in church are pleasing their parents, the pier group of friends around them.
They often confuse this with Jesus, and one day wake up and find they actually have no clue why
they do anything.

Jesus came to make things simple, to be true to who we are.
In Jesus we are followers, yoked to His word.

But does His word dwell in you richly? Do you dwell on it night and day?
Is it the song in the morning and the light when you go to bed?

Then begin to read and learn what He meant and ask the Holy Spirit to make it plain to you.
This is the simple reality Jesus is asking us to do.

There's nothing wrong with pleasing parents or others as long as it conforms to Scripture. To say that genuine Christians have *no clue* is stretching it. Those who have been born again have the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach them and guide them. Hopefully they are in the Word daily and know the truth.

I agree with you. What I am talking about is owning ones own choices, because you want to do something, and not
because it is expected. I grew up realising much of what I did is because it fitted in and not because I wanted or knew
what i preferred.

Jesus is a great guy, and morality makes sense. Going with the flow can just appear to be the right thing.
I had a friend who married a young lady for this very reason. It was literally obvious the lady did not love
him but loved the idea of being married.

This is why religion is called religion. It feels right, but it does not make sense, and when you talk to people they
are really vague about it. Being like Jesus or perfection or even being righteous or one in mind and heart is as
far away from them as the moon. I have seen on forums this attitude expressed openly as if "how dare you suggest
I should be any other way."

If this is a new revelation to you, you have not spoken to many church goers.
But probably many here will say "how dare you suggest I should be like Jesus, you hypocrite and liar."
