God said He created man in His own image and likeness. Jesus told us that God was a spirit. That would mean we are spirits. Wouldn't this mean the carnal man, whether created instantly or through evolution was no more than any other animal until God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and he became a living soul? Meaning the man God created and recognizes as the "true man" was created instantly reguardless of how the carnal man came about.

God created animals and then God created man to rule over the animals and everyting on the earth. Both creations were seperate. How can evoloution come in to play?

What is threatening to Christianity is trusting man's word over God's Word.

A lie practically always has some truth mixed with other things, or as Hitler used to say "if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth."

Could the difference between an ape and a man be God's breath? Could evolution be caused by Gods intervention? Thousands of years ago they probably only had one word ' creation' and evolution wasn't even thought off.

If someone wants to propose that God created man through the process of evolution, then this proposal is simply contrary to God's Word.

When did death enter the world according to the Bible, and when did death enter the world according to the theory of evolution? The theory of evolution would state that death entered the world long before Adam and that Adam was subject to death as well as all of creation after him as the natural law no matter what Adam's actions were. The Bible states that death entered the world through Adam's sin (Romans 5:12) and that all of creation was made subject to suffering because of it (Romans 8:20-23).

According to the Bible, death did not exist in the world before Adam's sin, it came by Adam's sin. It is the penalty of sin. That's why Jesus had to die to pay the penalty for our sin. Suffering and death wasn't apart of what God had planned for creation, those things came about through the consequence of sin, but the good news is that God is going redeem it all and creation will live again in a state with no more death or suffering just like God created it to be from the beginning.

I wouldn't say evolution is threatening to Christianity, but depending on how you define evolution, the concepts it presents are definitely contrary to the Bible. I guess what it comes down to is what you are going to trust in; Men's continual changing theories throughout time, or God's enduring unchanging truth throughout time.

I hope this helped bring some understanding.

God is Truth... simple to define, but takes in infinite knowledge... Truth is all Truth ..laws that deal with Physics, math, chemistry, etc etc. and also LOVE. In the beginning was a spiritual universe before solid matter was present.. It contained the laws of Truth (God) and all their opposites, (Fiction). God had to separate Truth from fiction by bringing forth UNDERSTANDING (The Holy Ghost) The KJV called it light from Darkness in Genesis 1:1-5. After God had separated his laws from fiction (darkness), he established his laws into the infinite emptiness in structure (Proverbs 8:22-31) The Boomerang telescope zoomed in and photographed some of the larger structure in the year Y2K. However, logic tells us that the structure ranged from micro to light years. Once established, the universe evolved from this structure through a path of evolution as described in Proverbs 8:22-31. In John 1:1-5 it says (in the Greek text) that the universe happened by it's self (after God established his laws). So,.. The creation was all in the layout and calculation of the structure that generated elementary particles that produced Hydrogen, which produced neutrons, which combined with hydrogen atoms and produced all the 92 chemical elements. (Sea water or planetary Nebula). This sea water also contained millions of recipes (depending on the characteristics of each different atom to repel or attract other atoms) to form Seed for each species. The seed hatched and survived according to conditions, not adaptation. Man was last on the chain of life because of his diet. He had to everything that we have today in order to survive.
Genesis said that God created male and female on the 6th day (KJV)… (Day being a period of time and not 24 hours). The first man was nothing more than a beast of the field… Science called him the Neanderthal. Then God rested from his work for a period of time. There was nothing else left to do till the man matured. Once the man matured enough to think about someone else besides himself, God formed him by tests and trials like he does with us today and the Man BECAME a living soul. God named this man Adam and from his rib he made a woman and Adam named her Eve. This was as whole age after the first men and women that God told to multiply and replenish the earth. After God had taken Eve from Adam, he called Adam IYSH. The Hebrew word Adam means a man of Low degree ... Neanderthal ... The Hebrew word Iysh means a man of high degree... Cro-Magnon... All of Adam and Eve's children were called Iysh also… (The Cromagnon people). Cain killed Able and everyone was out to kill him, so Cain had to run for his life. He ended up in the land of Nod that was full of Neanderthals and took a Neanderthal woman for a wife. His kids were half Cro-Magnon and half Neanderthal… Just smart enough to be evil. Cain’s daughters were beautiful and the sons of God (Cro-Magnon men) took them as wives as many as they wanted. The world became corrupt and it grieved God when he looked upon the actual finished product of what he had created. But… He found grace in the family of Noah. (Think of Noah as a lst name).. So God flooded the earth but saved Noah and his family and all the Neanderthals were wiped out. Noah and his family contained the 7 seeds of man that the whole world sprang from. Those same 7 seeds ended up in the blood of Jesus Christ thousands of years down the road.

I think you understand the point of my discussion. We are spiritual beings and are told to care for the things of the spirit. Evolution is carnal or of the flesh which has nothing to do with the spiritual man of God.

What I'm saying is to God we are spiritual beings created in His own image and likenss. The theory of evolution only deals with the carnal man. So if evolution is true or not it has nothing to do with the spiritual man God created in His own image. The carnal man could be nothing more than the original sin that the spiritual man of God was born into...could it not?

God's breath created the spiritual man which was placed in the carnal man. (1Cor. 15:44)

If the Bible said we evolved from monkeys then Jesus's human ans-esters were monkeys and the genealogy would read son of Adam son of God but leave out the monkeys.

Q: Why is evolution threatning to christianity?

A: It isn't. You have made a false assertion.

Even IF macro-evolutionary theory were a fact, and that has never been established at all despite repeated claims from atheists in the general population, education, and atheists in the scientific community (a community marred by 20th century atheistic chauvinism and bias that exists to this day not to mention the effects state atheism had on scientific populations in in China and areas under the influence of the old Soviet Union) it in no way disproves Christianity.

What I'm saying is that we focus to much on the carnal or worldly side of creation. God made man in His image and God is a spirit therefore we are spirits which has nothing to do with humans or monkeys either way. But because humanity is all we know we automatically see the "man" God created as a human when in reality it's a spiritual being.

What I meant by "threatning" is why as christians do we feel the need to defend our beliefs when the topic of evolution comes up? Evolution only claims that the earthly man evolved, but the man God created in His image is a spirit. It is a totally different being than the one sceince is speaking of...right?
We are two beings in one. An outter or "earthy" man and an inner or "spiritual" man...right?

What's interesting is that many who profess a belief in evolution also believe in ghosts. Can you see the contradiction?

Not sure I understand the question. But I suppose you could believe in both without contradiction. Because evolution is of the flesh and ghosts would be spiritual...right?

All this talk of the body being carnal and of no use, and that it is only the spirit that matters sounds similar to old Greek philosophy that once tried to make inroads into Christianity but was expelled as heresy.

You are a man/woman, body and soul.

Have a blessed day.

Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
It was God's creation, but.... From the laws to the elements to the planets and stars, to the sea water, Life evolved. It was a long process because God works by laws and not by magic. (There is no such thing as magic) His laws are the laws of nature and they are Truth.
To understand the characteristics of God and Physics write them down… Here are seven that I can think of off the top of my head
1. The laws of physics are eternal… God is eternal
2. The laws of physics are spiritual… God is spiritual
3. The universe evolved from the laws… God created the universe
4. The laws can't be changed… You can't change God
5. You can't add too or take away the laws… The same with God.
6. The laws are the absolute truth… God is the absolute truth
7. The laws exist throughout the universe… God exists throughout the universe.
The Bible doesn’t say anything about man evolving from monkeys… Science does, but science has a long way to go yet. The Bible does say that the First man Adam was a mean Red faced man of low degree. Science has found evidence of a man like that… a skeleton… there are artist that can take a skull and make it look like the person when they were alive… They do it all the time. Same with a Neanderthal skull. Science has a long way to go in their theory of evolution but the Bible has it right
Genesis 1:21 said, that everything that moves came from the waters… Do you move?.. Then according to Genesis 1:20, the waters brought you forth. (Or maybe you don't want to believe that part of the Bible, just the parts you like)
Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
If you look up this word CREATURE in the KJV you will see that the Hebrew word it replaced is NEPHESH...5315. nephesh, neh'-fesh; from H5314; prop. a breathing creature, lust, man, me, mind, mortality, one, own, person, pleasure, soul. So the intent would be a warm blooded Creature.
If you look in Genesis 1:20 at the word CREATURE.. You will find that the translators of the KJV used it to replace the Hebrew words SHARATS and SHERETS and they are repeated words which the translators did not think was important so they left them out. Take a look at the actual words that the wrier wrote in Genesis 1:20.
Gen 1:20 . 'elohiym:H430 'amar:H559 . . mayim:H4325 sharats:H8317 sharats:H8317 sharats:H8317 . sherets:H8318 sherets:H8318 . . chay:H2416 . 'owph:H5775 . . 'uwph:H5774 'al:H5921 . 'erets:H776 . . paniym:H6440 raqiya':H7549 . shamayim:H8064
They replaced the Hebrews words SHARATS SHARATS SHARATS, SHERETS SHERETS with the English word CREATURE... WHY?...???
8317. sharats, shaw-rats'; a prim. root; to wriggle, i.e. (by impl.) swarm or abound:--breed (bring forth, increase) abundantly (in abundance), creep, move. And it was used 3 times... Then...

SHERETS...8318. sherets, sheh'-rets; from H8317; a swarm, i.e. active mass of minute animals:--creep (-ing thing), move (-ing creature).
This word SHERETS means Tiny Minute animals (Creeping things) ... Swarms and swarms and swarms of Tiny, Tiny, Tiny minute animals is what the Bible said. The translators said CREATURE. But what got me when I first found this back in 1990 was, They replaced the Hebrew word NEPHESH (Which was a warm blooded creature) with the same ENGLISH WORD "CREATURE".. Sure, ... They are both creatures but the intent was covered up completely with one English word "CREATURE".
I could not believe my eyes when I seen this mistake… Out of all the Billions of Christians that live today and all that have lived and died since the KJV was published, not one caught this mistake… If they did, they kept quiet about it. That makes you wonder if anyone every really studies the Bible.
But getting back to the subject, the point is that both marine life, Birds, and warm blooded life all came from the waters. It was God's creation, but by a path of Evolution. From his laws from the beginning, through the evolution of solid elements, stars, planets, and finally the sea water that produces all moving species of life. God said the seed was in the earth... Jesus said the same thing.
Mark 4:28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Also...Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
I do not agree with the scientific theory of evolution either. But I do believe what the Bible teaches. I also hate to see anyone come down on another person when he doesn’t even know what the Bible says himself.
If you want to study about the evolution of the Universe from the laws of God, Look in Proverbs 8:22-31, Genesis 1:1-5, and John 1:1-5... I just showed you mistakes in the KJV translation so don't try to understand the Translation in these scriptures because it went right over the translator’s heads. If they had lived today, it would be a different story. We are the first generation that can completely understand the Bible, but go by the Bible and not the translation. USE YOUR CONCORDANCE. See what the Bible said instead of what the Translators THOUGHT they said… You don't have to believe me if you don't want to… Look it up for yourself like I did years ago.

I agree! And have came to many similiar revelations by seeing the true hebrew or greek translation from the concordance.I also think the truth is seldom searched out completely out of fear that it might damage or weaken ones" doctrine" or" religion". But for the most part I've found that it strenghtens it in most cases....very interesting bit of info!

Because its a lie from hell. From Satan himself. And many people are going and have gone to hell because of this lie. Christians don't want people to burn in hell.
