Throughout the Bible it is clear that GOD wants his name to be known and proclaimed.
In this day and age we can easily figure out that his name is YHWH (Pronounced Yahuah).
His name is always replaced with a Title, "the Lord". (about 6,800 times).
Can anyone explain why this has not been corrected? (IN ANY mainstream Bible).
1Ki 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
1Ki 8:28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
1Ki 8:29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

Solomon said that the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain God so how can God dwell in a building made with hands and God said His name shall be there.

God's name represents His character and attributes which He used the name Jehovah in the Old Testament and the name Jesus in the New Testament to represent His character and attributes which is goodness that He would bestow upon the people that follow Him.

Exo 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Psa 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Isa 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

The name Jehovah was not known until it was near the time for God to deliver the Hebrews from Egypt which the name Jehovah represents physical deliverance and physical blessings on earth which the Old Testament was a physical covenant.

Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The name Jesus was not known until it was near the time for Jesus to be born and save the Hebrews from their sins by washing away their sins completely which the name Jesus represents spiritual deliverance and spiritual blessings.

Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:.

Jesus is the name that is above all names not only in this world but in the world to come which is the place Jesus went away to prepare for the saints the New Jerusalem.

Since Jesus is the name above all names in the world to come then Jesus has to be above the name Jehovah but it includes the name of Jehovah.

A lot of people will not understand how Jesus can be the name above Jehovah for they look at it as the Father is Jehovah and the Son is Jesus.

But the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all are called by the name Jesus.

John 5 says Jesus said He came in His Father's name.

Hebrews 1 says the Son inherited the name from the Father.

John 14 says the Holy Spirit comes in the name of Jesus.

Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

That is why Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles were all baptized in the name of Jesus in the book of Acts.

Jesus said baptize in the name singular and Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles not names.

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other name to be saved by but the name Jesus so we would not baptize in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Jesus has a name that no man knows which will be revealed when the saints are at the New Jerusalem which the new name will be written upon the saints which will represent God's character and attributes of goodness to the saints that will elevate the blessings upon the saints.

God's name is known in the Bible but the new name that will be written upon the saints is not known yet.

Now that this thread is winding down, I guess that I should admit that at least part of my motivation to start it was because I think I smell a rat. I believe that Satan is an absolute master at deception. Jesus warned us in Matt 14.

My realization of how bad it truly is happened last year when my daughter told me that the school called her to complain that my grandson, Elijah, was disrupting and upsetting the other kids in school by telling them that Santa was not real.

She laughed at them.

It dawned on me that the actual deception is what Satan knows...
He knows our children are taught about Jesus' birth and all that goes along with that story.
At the same time, the same day, they are taught that Santa is coming with presents.
Now Satan knows that during a child's formidable years they will ultimately find out that Santa is a lie.
It would be difficult for a child that young to distinguish the truth of Jesus and the lie of Santa.
The normal reaction of the child is to Dismiss the ENTIRE idea. i.e. Jesus is a myth, too.
Later, the child will find out that Dec. 25th is not even Jesus' birthday and the reluctance to believe is edified.
There are many things we teach our innocent and believing children that we think are harmless.
Believe me, I pray, it ALL matters.

I also believe that this sort of deception is rampant in the body of Christ.
There is a deception even deeper than what we can easily see (the false flag).
It is wholly divisive in nature.

I have no illusions that what I personally believe is correct. In fact, I'm sure that aspects of my belief will surely change.
I have one rock of belief in Jesus Christ, the manifestation of God on earth, who, through pure Love, paid the penalty of death that I have surely earned in my life.

One day I was praying and meditating about where my life was heading.
A million trickling streams of water came into my head and said these exact words:
"If you need me, I will help you"

and now, here I am.

The TRUTH is that God's Name was never left out of the Bible.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

ALL Glory be to Elohim Father, Elohim Son and Elohim Holy Spirit - Amen

I'm not so sure of a conspiracy, per se.
It is certainly something that could be easily remedied.
Also, there is an awful lot of deflection, dismissal, and outright attacks on anyone advocating for God's personal/proper name.
God's name and pronunciation was not "lost" or "forgotten". It was, however, forbidden. Still is in some cases.
Most people on this thread just throw tons of irrelevant gospel passages at me. Changing the subject to Salvation.
What I do know is that to the extent that it bothers someone, they should look into it at least to the same extent.
I hope that makes since. You are certainly one of the most "clear headed" among the group. I appreciate that.

I agree, it could; but I'm sure it has something to do with marketing and sales.

I don't know if you saw my earlier link, https://biblehub.com/exodus/20-7.htm. There are several versions which do translate it Jehovah or Yahweh. So you're not just imagining things, others have noticed this issue.

Jeff, the missing link you may not be aware of is there are a lot of people here who are King James Version onlyists. It doesn't matter what the Hebrew says, all that matters is what the KJV says: It's the only inspired word of God in English. If it ain't in the KJV it's a corruption.

Who said the Bible was being quoted?

A back door way to be critical...is obvious and is a leftist approach.

LOL! Thanks for that!
It reminds me of a few weeks ago in Bible study my son mentioned that a part of the scripture read (can't remember which one) was not in the NASB (or ESV) that he was reading. It was a HUGE AHA! moment for the KJV people, including the Pastor.
Almost in harmony, they decried everything but the KJV.

Then they acted like a lot of people here when they found out that the reason it was not in the NASB or ESV was:
IT'S NOT IN THE GREEK!

We had a good laugh about that. I do love the KJV, though. It's a very good translation. Don't like the old English other than poetically.

You just made this whole thread worthwhile!

Elohim is plural which proves the trinity. It also brings to light who he was talking to when he said "let us make man in our own image.
Which possibly shows a correction to the first vrs of the bible.

In the beginning Gods created the heavens and the earth......speculation 🤔🤔🤔

KJV only...because it is the best ...yet...... version.

For the new age religion types...any will do .....if published since the 1960's!!...and if it tickles the ear and tells what one wants to hear. (whoa..where did I get that from?)

I believe it is NIV refers to ......gods.
Reminds me of a old, old movie about a African native who found a coke bottle...thrown from a passing airplane perhaps...and considered it an evil thing to be destroyed. LOL He almost destroyed himself in the act........referring to the gods.

When I was a kid I couldn’t believe in the tooth fairy and Santa, though my biological father tried to teach me about them. I had the state of mind at 5 years old to play along because it seemed important to him. However, I did believe in God and spoke directly with Him and audibly heard from Him on one occasion when I prayed for my lost toy, He heard me and told me where to find it.

So if I was just a kid who knew nothing really, had no experience, and I smelled a rat when it came to Santa then maybe some kids are just sorta playing the Santa game propagated by adults. Just something to think about.

I'm not sure how to respond. I didn't realize you had the "read other people's heart" gift of the spirit.

Knowing that God Almighty DOES NOT CHANGE, I read the old testament quite a lot. I did not put forth a challenge to anyone's faith or salvation. God knows that we are responsible for our own.

When you tell me that I should turn back from the path of testing scripture it raises the hair on my arms.
"Accept the salvation of Jesus Christ but don't look under any rugs".

I'm aware of my relationship with Jesus. More so than anyone else. I walk the path according to His direction.

Your message, however lovingly meant, might get a better reception behind the doors of the neighborhood.

I really don't enjoy patronization.
