Why is there evil in the world?
1-Satan
2-Us...aka you and me
(if we stop doing evil then there will be little to none left in the world)

How was in brought in?
1-Satan
2-Adam and Eve
3-All of us (aka any time us (made in God's image) decide to sin)

If God is so loving why is evil happening?
1-Paul writes consider God's long suffering our salvation...He is not willing that any should perrish, therefore those who are wicked God must endure until the appointed time, in hope that they will repent and attain salvation.
2-In other words, because you are sinning. Also because I sin. Also because everyone is still stupid enough to sin.

What is the solution?
This one is an easy answer though it was hard...
Jesus was crucified, but then rose again...therefore we can attain new life, that allows us to even withstand evil (suffering, persecution) joyfully, as Peter and Paul did theres.

Gen,
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Why is evil happening,Ask God

What is the solution?

Love God,Love your nieghber like you love yourself, honor you mother and father, stay away from idols.

You talk as if God doesnt exist for you stanton yet Every law in the usa,Canda ect has to do with the 10 commandments
This is 2009 a date derived from the appearance of Jesus Christ
From the beginning of creation God has worked with us for one cause. To get us to love one another.

I get a little uncomfortable with this topic because I think sometimes we like to blame someone else for our own disobedience to the Lord. If I break one of his commandments, then the fault is mine. That is my answer to the first three questions. The solution is for us to try always to do the Lord’s will.

JESUS

He claimed to be God

He was either: A liar.. a lunatic.. the devil himself .. or God in human flesh

Liar:

Doesn't fit with the gospels... His words were completely consistent with His actions... also like the disciples.. if He was lying.. He was brutally punished and eventually murdered for what He was claiming.. you don't do that when you believe a lie

Crazy:

Similar thing to the above... He was able to relate with so many different people.. and His thoughts were always sober, lucid and perfectly formed.. He could speak clearly and honestly and soberly in the most horrific situations.. to anyone. There was no inconsistency in His mental state.

The devil:

Jesus cast out demons.. as He said-- 'How can a Kingdom divided against itself stand?' .. If He is Satan.. why does He destroy His own kind?

He also speaks of nothing corrupt or destructive to anyone.. and preaches avoiding temptation.. fleeing from it rather than embracing it. Nothing deceptive about Him- in fact He shuns deception.

So He is not the devil..

All you are left with is that He is God.. and on earth was God in human flesh.. that His claim about Himself is true.

I do agree but what does this have to do with the four questions I asked?

Let me have a second chance at answering your questions. I think three of them are easy.
Why is their evil in the world? Because we disobey the Lord.
How was evil brought into the world? Each of us does when we disobey the Lord.
What is the solution? We have to always obey the Lord.

The question of why the Lord allows evil in the world is a little trickier. Why does he allow us to suffer at each others’ hands? Maybe when we suffer at each others’ hands it allows us to learn why sin is a bad thing.

An analogy I heard of why suffering and evil is allowed to happen..

A Father takes his daughter to sewing classes for the first time. The daughter is given a sewing kit and starts to try and use a needle and thread. She keeps on pricking her finger with the needle, and it hurts. Now rather than step in and stop the pain, the father wisely thinks.. wait..

The daughter then completes what she was trying to create with the needle.. and is overjoyed at her success.. goes to the father-- look what I made! Forgetting the pain caused in creating it.

So the father-- tolerated short term pain for long term gain... this is how God works.. His wisdom is far beyond ours.. we don't often see the positive outcomes of a short term hurt.. what it may lead to in the future.

But also.. evil was not God's making.. it was men's own rebellion of God that led to destructive ways. Hell was not meant to be for men.. but Satan and His minions.. it had to be set for men as the natural consequence of their rebellion. If men reject God their entire lives.. what is God to do? If He lets them in heaven anyway.. he is denying their choice by taking to a place they don't want to be. If He snuffs them out.. as in annihialites them so they suffer nothing.. then there is no real consequence for their rebellion. Hell is the just consequence of the weight of the crime against God.

The greatest crime? Rejecting God till the day you die. If this is the heaviest, weighteist thing you can do.. what is the equal consequence.. ? Seperation from God. Punishment for crime doesn't match the length of the crime.. but the weight of it.

Aside from that.. you can argue that the existence of evil actually proves the existence of God!

Where do we get the measure that says things are destructive and evil? You only get that from a measure of what is right.. which comes directly from God.

The problem of evil is just that.. that it is a problem! If there were no good.. it would not be a problem!

That is some of what I know from reading.. there is alot more to it aswell

The Adversary can only control people if Elyon allows him to.

Because God gave us free-will to serve Him, Our nature is evil so to go against that we needed a choice, so God gave it to us , and most just choose to remain evil. why did God allow us to have a evil heart/nature. The great indepth answer of this question lies within the creator. but one reason could be that if He made us all good, then we would all be like puppets, and that God wanted for those that serve Him, to serve Him Because they wanted to and not that they were forced to.

I'll give this a shot.

1. Because it was cursed when man fell because he was tempted by the serpent. satan is also called the prince of the air. he offered Jesus the world.
2.the devil
3. How would you know light is light, if not for darkness? another thought, would you prefer God just destroyed it all right now? Jesus said to the pharisees that they had their REWARD.
4.This world is passing away. Read Revelations.

Am I really the only person here who listed Elyon (G-d) as the reason evil is in the world?

Thats a very interesting answer even though I don't agree with most of it. It is our faults why there is evil in this world. It was not our free will but our free moral agency that allowed us to make the choice of wanting to be like God. I do believe that God will come in and change someones heart to bring glory to Himself

“I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them and I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I gain glory through Pharaoh…” (Exodus 14:17-18)

He changed Pharaohs heart to bring out His justice towards the Egyptians and His mercy towards His people. Did Pharaoh have free will? By no means. Its the same as when Paul was on his way to Damascus he did not have the free will in that decision to stop killing the Christians. I believe God does what brings Him glory. So for your answer I do not agree. This did not answer my 4 questions except your answer that we are the reason why there is evil in the world. I am going to post what I believe tomorrow after work but I decided to respond to you.

Evil exists as a result of moral corruption and neutrality.

People are selfish, more people should do more things for those around them.

Why is there evil in the world? Evil is the LACK of Righteousness
How was in brought in? God created evil in the spiritual realm which is able to affect the natural realm of man.
If God is so loving then why is evil happening? If there was no evil, there would be no way for US to LOVE God. We would all just be good little girl and boy 'robots' that obeyed without choice. It would be impossible for us to truly love God if we had no choice but to be obedient. God is all about relationiship.
What is the solution? Love covers a multiude of sins.

evil is in this world because of satan. evil, or satan will always be a choice we choose to follow.
it was brought in because lucifer/satan wanted to be like God.
God loves you so much He gave us Jesus. evil is happening because once again, it is our choice of who we want to follow. bottom line is, where do you want to spend the rest of you life. in Heaven full of Love. or Hell, full of pain and suffering. i choose Heaven...
