Have ever wished God would speak to you like you speak to another person? He sometimes speaks to me but we cannot have long conversations like I would wish. I bet he has lots of amazing things to say, and honestly I probably could not help myself from asking the why question on certain things. Do you know what one of my favorite daydreams are? sitting at Jesus' feet and listening to all the wonderful things he could teach me that no other man could. The amazing info and kind words would be such a gift. So i sometimes ask, Why so silent Lord? Why does he not speak? I feel a certain connection to be made that I cannot make in order for us to talk like I am talking to you. What do you think?

He is a speaking God.. He is not a stone or tree to not speak. He sent a comforter to guide us to walk in the right way and teaches us how to live like Christ. I am experiencing Him everyday. He is watching me and helping in all troublesome situations.

When we talk in tongues in our personal prayers, He is give us knowledge to interpret that language. Yes that is His words.. He talks to us very clearly, if we become so close to Him.

Does He ignore our request? We are not asking Him which is abnormal. When we ask egg, he will not give us snake. He can talk to you. But are you ready to hear that??

God does speak to us Blain in different ways with different signs. I remember one time I had asked God for a sign on a particular issue and I wasn't getting it. As it turned out I was expecting something specific and God used other means to show me. You want to hear the Lord speak to you? Read his word, start reading devotionals or different books of the bible. If you can develop daily time with the Lord then he will devote to you as well. I know my biggest issue in the past was claiming to want more intimacy with God and yet not putting forth the time for that intimacy and complaining about not having the intimacy I wanted. What was I thinking?! I know all relationships take time and effort. Honestly and truthfully ask yourself are you putting forth the time to have that intimacy and relationship with God. I know most of the time I would come to the conclusion I wasn't. However maybe you are and God is just beginning his work testing your patience and willingness to follow even when you aren't getting the answers you are looking for! You want to lay at Jesus' feet and listen to his wisdom I recommend you read the sermon on the mount scriptures in Matthew couldn't get closer to Jesus than that unless he's physically standing right next to you I would say ! I know sometimes while I'm driving I'll talk to God like I'll speak like I'm speaking to anyone else and have a conversation in that way. Initially when i started it felt very one sided however I've come to learn that I may not necessarily hear an audible voice with my ears but I'll hear one in my spirit. I suggest you try something like that!

God Bless!

Am I ready to hear him? Of course I am, but i do not have the gift of tongues. But one time when i was weak and I was in his arm( I could clearly tell I was because the love was more than I could handle) He said these exact words( I need you to be strong for my child) And suddenly I was strong. Another time he blessed me with his audio voice. But we never are able to have conversations. It's like I am talking into one phone and he hears it on the other line but I cannot hear what he is saying

Well yes The lord and I spend pretty all day everyday together so trust me that isn't the issue. But I think you are right on him testing my patience and faith. And as for audio talking, I haven't tried that very much. I always talk to him in my head.

Everyone can say that they are ready to Hear..! Its easy to tell this. But read one situation in Bible in Moses days.. No Israelite were ready to talk to God. They have asked Moses to go and speak to God and come with the message, as they cant bear His voice.

If he talked to you. Thats great. But all the solutions for our life is written in Bible. The one you said that You have to be strong. Its already in the Bible. If you read Bible,Its like God is speaking to us..!

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Have ever wished God would speak to you like you speak to another person?
God has never talked to me directly--the Holy Spirit is my experiential reality. The longer I live in Christ, the more peace of mind I have, no matter what happens outside.

John 20
20:26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you."
20:27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe."
20:28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"
20:29 Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

The last time we saw Jesus in Bible was Revelation, where He scared John so much that he fell down. Not my idea of peace of mind.

Rev 1
1:16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and this face was like the sun shining in full strength.
1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last..."

The Lord is far wiser than we. He knows what is best for us. When he has something that needs to be said, he'll say it. Make sure you are listening. Meanwhile, he is always by your side listening to you. And maybe he talks to you more than you realize.
