From a Christian perspective. Do you think we will see another flood. Would you say that the world is in a worse state now than it was before the first one? Are we Due another cleansing?

We might be due another 'cleansing' but God said he would never flood the world again.
So the answer would have to be no, I think.
The end times revelation of John suggests the end would come with famine and war and earthquakes.

however a cleansing is [FONT=Open Sans, arial, sans-serif]imminent[/FONT], thank GOD.

[SUP]38 [/SUP]For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

The rainbow is a promise by God that he will never flood the earth again. Its in Genesis after the flood Noah. That is why when it rains a rainbow can be found. It is his covenant.

I gotta go, But God made many covenants in the OT. The one we are most concerned about is Jesus Christ and Him crucified and supersedes all others and not that He holds true to anyone that He made. I mean you still see a rainbow right. Science will say that it is a refraction of light through the water droplets in the air. But it is the promise of God. Again I say faith is the key.

I understand Early, my point was that some think there can only be one covenant.
Yet the bible never has said that once any covenant was made that any previous ones are null and void.
On the contrary, God has made several everlasting covenants.
The rainbow is one of them.

And here weare right in the midst of the famine war and earthquakes, the cleansing no weare not in need of another cleansing. We are in need of seeing the cleansingdone at the cross aren’t we or do we already and are cleansed? The cleansing atthe cross is first the death that took away the sin of the world in Jesus'sFathers sight (John the Baptist was the witness John 1:29 [John Testifies AboutJesus] The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lambof God, who takes away the sin of the world! So that he could present you, meand all that believe as chaste [perfect virgins before Father and Fatherthrough Son doing this can live in us seeing each of us as perfect for by hisSon we are made perfect. Colossians 1:22
But now hehas reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holyin his sight, without blemish and free from accusation
there isnothing anyone of us can do to remove this fact or add to this fact, but yetman does and has we have early warnings of this taking place to the Galatians, the Corinthians, and many other doctrinal writings from Paul and Peter and Johnand James that bring each of us to truth and eventually see the entire packageit is all in the cross the death, burial, and resurrection, then the ascensionin order to deliver each of us that believe the Holy Ghost to teach each of usthe truth about and what the package, the cross has to offer,
Colossians1:22
But now hehas reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holyin his sight, without blemish and free from accusation
Jude 1:24
[ Doxology ]To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before hisglorious presence without fault and with great joy—

You seeChrist is the one that is able to do this and has by the death, then unto theresurrection, for without the resurrection
1Corinthians 15:13
If there isno resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised
Romans 1:4
And who throughthe Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by hisresurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Everythingwe need for life and Godliness is in the cross unwrap it and see the fullpackage

2 Peter 1:3
[ConfirmingOne’s Calling and Election] His divine power has given us everything we needfor a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own gloryand goodness.

2Pet 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.2Pet 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pet 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pet 3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,
2Pet 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

God destroyed the Earth by water during the time of Noah. We are due another "cleansing" but it will be done with fire next time. With this, the entire earth and the whole universe will be destroyed.

If you take the previous flood to be a local event in which most of humanity wasn't wiped out, then there are plenty of floods. If you take it to be a local event in which most of humanity at that time was wiped out, then I don't think there will be another such flood. If you take it to be a global flood, then I don't believe there will be another such flood. These are the three main arguments used to interpret the flood account.

The rainbow is a promise by God that he will never flood the earth again. Its in Genesis after the flood Noah. That is why when it rains a rainbow can be found. It is his covenant.
And that's why the first interpretation of the flood account in the above is wrong.
