I would still say that if anyone bears bad fruit, that we can determine from that that they are a bad tree.

If anyone is truly born again, they have been regenerated and renewed in the Holy Ghost...and therefore the following is true in their lives,

Tit 3:3, For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

So they do not bear bad fruit, regardless of their level of maturity.
Yes Brother you had hit on the meaning before regarding false prophets

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:15-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When a person is claiming to be a prophet or teacher even the people who hear and accept them as true …..it’s as if they are eating “fruit from a tree “

it’s true of a good teacher like Jesus or Peter or Paul or many today who have a good solid understanding of The gospel and equally important they apply what they learn to themselves first and have the right intentions in thier heart for inviting peoples trust .

Who we trust to hear Gods word from like pastors , prophets and teachers they need to understand the great privilege given in the peoples trust , and also the heavier weight of judgement tonthe one teaching or pastoring or prophesying from the scripture.

the intents of the heart are the most important part

what does this parable of the lord mean to you ?

“For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it;which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold,

some sixty,

some thirty.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:17-23‬ ‭

consider that as we the believer spreads the gospel , each person bears their own measure of fruit according to the measure of hearing and understanding ( faith Romans 10:17) they have .

The gospel truly creates a very personal relationship with the person and the Lord he comes into our minds and hearts through his word and we get the nutrients we need to grow and bear fruit growing in the light and drinking of the rain so we don’t remain barren and get thrown into the fire.

He is present in the believer by the living word

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

If someone bears thirty-fold in the way of good fruit, it should be clear that the fruit that they bear is still good and not bad, if they are genuine believers.

I don't think so.

If someone is a genuine prophet and not a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing, they will bear the fruit of the Spirit and will not generally operate according to the works of the flesh.

yeah I just don’t want to be a fruit inspector from outside of someone’s heart and mind when they already have one living in them ot could be better to just point the way to him and hope and pray they hear and believe

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the true gospel changes us but it also makes salvstion a personal matter between Jesus and each one he suffered and died for

but I respect what your saying and will consider it more thanks again for the chat God bless

What did Jesus mean when He said what He said in Matthew 7:15-20?

Does your experience with farming apply?

Or, is Jesus referring to what is primarily a spiritual reality?

Jesus said this to a agricultural society.

anyone who farms understands that no fruit or vegetable plant or tree bears only good and no bad.

what Jesus meant is this- if you have a fig tree that bears little or no good figs, then that is a bad fig tree and should be cut down.

if you have a fig tree that bears much more good figs than bad, than that is a good tree.

but, there will always be a bit of bad fruit.

Jesus knew this, and the people He was speaking to knew this.

This is what He specifically said.

Mat 7:15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:18, A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19, Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20, Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Jesus was speaking specifically of false prophets in this verse, not His Followers.

i have debated and defeated many false teachers like you on here over the years.

you all seek to add something to " whosoever believes in Me shall be saved"

try to spin and deceive all you want, the Bible does NOT echo your message.

it is man-made religion .....

I am not a false teacher but within your accusation I am in good company with Paul the apostle (Acts 24:14).

I would suggest that you read Matthew 7:21-23. Was Jesus teaching falsely when He spoke those words?

Yet, He seems to be adding something to "whosoever believes in Me shall be saved."

Also, you called me a false teacher when I did not even give one iota of my own commentary on the scripture that was presented, which declared the words of Jesus.

Is Jesus a false teacher?

so, now you jump to another verse to try to prove your non-existing point .

you see, one cannot take clips of what Jesus said and go " see, look here"

this is why you are false teacher. you attempt tp isolate verses and build theology around them.

you take the Gospel's as a whole, not chop them up into pieces.

I would suggest that you read the entire Bible tonight so that you can get the message of the gospel in its whole context.

Because obviously, if anyone actually quotes from the Bible, they must be a false teacher.

And therefore the only true teachers are those who read the entire Bible to you in one sitting.

Since that is not possible for me to do for you in the context of this message board, I would exhort you to do that on your own.

Mat 7:1, Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2, For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Mat 7:3, And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4, Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:5, Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Mat 7:6, Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Mat 7:7, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8, For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Mat 7:9, Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Mat 7:10, Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
Mat 7:11, If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Mat 7:12, Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Mat 7:13, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14, Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17, Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:19, Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 7:20, Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23, And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 7:24, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25, And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26, nd every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27, And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Mat 7:28, And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
Mat 7:29,
For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Are you going to accuse me of still isolating scripture because I didn't quote to you the entire Sermon on the Mount?

You are lacking in knowledge and understanding if you are disagreeing with what I have said in posts above.

Know that heresies are a work of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21) and that therefore, your flesh might lead you to believe things that are not in agreement with the scriptures as a whole.

I read through all of the epistles once per week and through the gospels, Acts and Revelation once per month, and through the rest of the Bible at a slower rate.

So, I am always brushing up on doctrinal issues since the epistles primarily have to do with doctrine and theological issues.
