Like you it seems, as if read you actually my OP Im not being contentious, am simply asking why.
If am being contentious is only because I am contending for the faith once delivered to the saints.
Note that it does say the SAINTS. Not just men, not just women, not brothers only, not sisters only, the saints. The body of Christ. Corinthians tells us that we cant say we dont need each other. The eye cat say, I dont need you you a toe. Ok, men and women have different body parts. But if we are one body...we cant say we dont need each other even if we different!!!! Even if you marry, the husband has power over the body of the wife and the wife over her husband why because when married they are ONE flesh. Not two.
Amen
Personally part of the difficulty is the first century reformation seems to be of misrepresentation or ignored as to what it performed (Men and Women's Lib). Such as the great tribulation for the outward Jews. The Jew's had lost their identity as a temporal position to be used in representing the word of God in types and shadows until the time of reformation. . It was like no other tribulation before or ever again. One demonstration could be referenced to the "cross" for Christians. It has much to do with flesh of a Jew that was used in a parables for the time then present, prior to the reformation.
I presume it is one of the reasons men shy from relating to the first century reformation and the one time use of the flesh of a Jew in parables. This is because they do not beleive the idea of replacement theology that other accuse them of. . Which they think is the gentile replacing the inward born again Jews and not the new name God name His people in Acts.
When the veil was torn from top to bottom, men and woman were restored to the new testament order .Where men and woman, Jew and Gentile as one body could all be on the same level.
Prior when there were kings in Israel before the first century reformation. There werre multiple levels separated by a high wall between the men participating in the ceremonies, and the unseen woman unheard of, and another wall between the gentile court .
The walls came tumbling down as God elevated woman to her equal place with man and a new type of ceremonial law was introduced. Revealing to us the promise of Joel had been made complete. The kingdom is restored to another time period as that of Judges . And God again began using women like Deborah to deliver men the gospel the faith of God by which man can belive as a amcj hor to thire soul
Acts 2:16-17 King James Version (KJV) For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
The new testament ordinance as a ceremonial law which is two part (one..bread with the blood of grapes sometimes called wine and (2) glory covering or un-covering) as a sign to the angels it is a emblem to the equally of men and woman alike as mankind, created in the image of God who holds out the gospel through a kingdom of priests. The new testament ceremonial law as a shadow is a representative glory to the world Lifted up woman and men also lifted up as one. .
I would think the reformation is here. Prophecy as it is written is doing its living work of reforming the hearts of men .
Today the way I understand that kind of glory that brought man and woman together to represent the unseen glory of God as our source of faith . It has all been but removed . My home church were are heard the gospel has a beautiful way of expressing that during there breaking of bread with covering ceremony . That they have once a week.
In Christianity there is no difference between man or woman neither Jew or gentile. I would think if we are a new creation we are to know no man after the flesh (what they eyes see) even Christ even though some did know him that way. we know him that way no more. Be careful on how we interpret the parables but do not fear improperly when searching search them out a person could find a pearl .
As one body we represent it to the world by the symbols God has assigned. I would suggest don't throw out signwater with that baby they point to .
Most denominations today have dismissed the beautiful way God has given us as a representative glory of His Holy unseen place.. But like all shadows like the Sabbath ceremonial law. It is not something we can judge each other with as some sort of sign gift ( I saw you therefore I judge you, or I did not see you and therefore judge) .They as shadows do not represent our glory. We have no glory to offer each other, other than that which he has freely given as representations .
His glory departed when he first sensed pride in the heart of his high messenger Satan …..saying in his heart "I will be like the most high , I will rise to the cloud of His presence". Immediately the glory was gone and the light that hid their nakedness no longer concealed it.
Mankind performing a work of their own fleshly minds. Took a temporal covering (leaf) to cover another .temporal covering .... their own corrupted flesh... the glory of God did not return.
The new testament ordinance simply brings that back which was hid in the garden, a opportunity as a representative glory to express Him not seen . He will be the light in the new order of the bride. .There will be no night represented by the flesh
