Gal 3
3Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
We are told that we are made perfect ONLY through Christ, that verse does not say that we are not to obey the Lord as much as we can. When we accept Christ within, it is not our acts of obedience, we act through Christ.

I keep thinking of Paul who wrote of these people, who want to be teachers of the law, yet they have no true knowledge of what it is.
it saddens me
I love the law, and tell people of that love, so I am sure I am classed as "these people" and I sadden you for this. Certainly, I do not know God, and it is only God who understands completely the law that God created. Why in the world does it always get such negative feedback to speak of any obedience for any reason when Christ himself spoke of this? Are we not to follow Christ?

Even a post trying to get people to think about all the blessing they could have from living best they can in obedience to God's law gets negative feedback, when any disobedience brings grief and sorrow and any obedience brings all that is good. Yet saying this in a post brings all sorts of verbal rocks thrown at the very idea.

We do have faith in the law, we do not have faith that it can save us or that our salvation is in any way dependent upon keeping it.
This post is about blessing obedience to law can bring. Being that obedience to law can never bring the blessing of salvation, is there some reason you have for bringing this truth into a post it does not belong in?

The sign isn't the thing. You seem to be hung up on the sign, instead of what it points to .

If you understood the law you would understand it condemns you where you stand. And you would
Not be telling people to follow it. You would be telling them to follow Christ and the law of love

A Christian should move towards something which the law cannot do . As a Christian is not UNDER the law ,your pointing in the wrong direction .

christians who obey the law are not foolish galations who dont.

Galations 3 is all about foolish galations who disobey one single law how is this even valid to chistians ? when cleary that law is not for christians.

Galations 3 clearly says we keep our faith by obeying the law
The foolish Galatians are the ones who attempt to be justified (be counted as righteous) by trying to keep the law.

Haven't you accepted Christ? If you do you will not be condemned by the law but Christ will cleanse you from any sin the law points to and you will be guided into blessing, abundance and joy because you listen to the guidance the law gives you.

The law can’t help me. It is the tutor that led Me to Christ. That is all it can do

I Need to set aside the schoolmaster
And follow Christ. Not be tangles upmarket nice again with the burden even the apostles

It is wonderful that you know you can't be justified by the law, but a crying shame your learning of the law stops there.

Again, there is so much of God to be learned by learning the holy law that is part of God. Any knowledge of it is something wonderful to have, but it is like defining the steering wheel of a car and saying this is the entire car. It is impossible to follow Christ but tell Christ you will have nothing to do with His law.

hi crossnote.. its a matter of obeying the law for christians. The person who keeps the law is God. God is the law keeper. God keeps the law and preaches the law. its up to us to obey the law.

if we obey the law we also keep the law. but the law does not belong to us the law belongs to God. Now the works of the law are different to keeping the law.

A violation of the law is to break the law. then we would not be obeying the law. and then we wouldnt be keepers of the law.

The works of the law which christian are asked to do are holy.

holy holy holy

There is only one thing to be learned by the law
your a sinner and as such your rightfully condemned and as such you are in need of the lamb of God
if your trying to follow the law and think your good. You have no understanding if the law. This is what Paul told us over and over

Most of scripture is telling of the law of the Lord, it is the body of God. By saying you will have nothing to do with it is not having nothing to do with a finger, it is having nothing to do with what God is telling you.

Even the people who lived those thousands of years before Bethlehem and had only the imperfect sacrificial system learned what you are denying, they knew what they were being forgiven for.

Such blindness you are preaching!

For some reason and i dont really know why when ever the law is brought up people assume we must be doing works to inherit salvation. and then where cursed to death.

Ridiculous radicalism and leagalism belongs to those who mock the law and curse works.

Lagalism and cursing and mocking certainly doesnt belong to those who praise Good works and praise the law. Which i think the op of this thread only praises works and the law.

I think its evil that mocks and curses the law and works not christians.
