Theres a genuine level of animosity towards Catholicism thats not reciprocated.
One should always be careful to distinguish between Catholicism (False Christianity) and Catholics (entrapped within that system). Catholics are fine people (generally) but their church is not biblical.

I can understand why Catholics change to another denom. Theres more genuine enthusiasm at many other Churches.
Also the American Catholic Church comes across as ultra conservative to me. The American Cardinal Burke clashed with Pope Francis for example. I have doubts about EWTN. It brainwashes imo. i was never a fan of Mother Anjelica.

I'll take "Genuflect, not a chance! for 20 arthritis points Alex! I hear ya.
I remained seated when I attended the one and only Catholic mass with hubby when he was still my finance.
I learned a lot though listening to the congregational response to the priest giving the homily.
Mainly, thank you God for not letting me be born into the RCC. It's incredibly pagan in tradition and is as many have said, a platform for the continuation of the office of Caesar and the Roman Senate. All of whom in their day generations ago thought Rome would rule the world for all time. And through the RCC, found a way to do that given the RCC congregation world wide is the most populace and powerful church in the world. As well as is one of the, if not the, smallest states (Vatican City) in the world, ruled by a dictator who oversees the largest number of "citizens" (of the church) on earth.
Rome, got its wish.
Caligula is still spinning knowing that one. Little cinders exploding all around him due to those RPM's achieved in his rapid rotation of shock. :p Serves him right.
"Finance", Freudian slip? Curious minds want to know. :giggle: What a typo. Should have read as, Fiancé.

for the same reason I wouldn't marry a Hindu or a Muslim. Catholicism is utterly pagan.

if i ever do get married, i want to spend my life serving Christ alongside a born again Christian woman.

Theres a genuine level of animosity towards Catholicism thats not reciprocated. Catholics can laugh at the Pope and themselves. We werent offended by Life of Brian. All of my married Catholic brothers married Protestants in a Catholic Church. We do all belong to the human race after all.
We didn't start the fire. It would help if they would recant Vatican 2 where it says unless you are a member of the Romans Catholic church you are not a Christian.

Vatican II and all other councils they have are irrelevant as of today.

The Catholic Church is the most liberal organization around when it comes to religions, they accept protestants, buddhists, hindus, muslims, even atheists. The Pope is hanging around in dens of idolatry shaking hands with these religious leaders and in essence saying we are all climbing the same mountain from different sides. He is probably a universalist and a globalist for sure.

Characters like Jeff Cavins and Scott Hahn. They were ex protestant pastors to my knowledge. They now teach theology to Catholics. It puzzles me how there are intelligent academics who represent Catholicism and the same in the Protestant camp . Who is right?
Im not academic enough to tell who is right. And ive got to the point where i dont care. Intellectualism is something Jesus had to deal with. Seems he didnt approve of legalism...which is what academics tend to do. imo ...

When we have Catholics telling us you have to go through Mary to get to Jesus, there is definitely a problem. A spiritual problem.

I am pretty sure I mentioned it to you days ago  Here.

It is why they chose to burn Christians at the stake.
i do remember but you said it in a different way I think...that no one can be saved outside the CC.
The current catechism says that people outside the Catholic Church can be saved. to my knowledge anyway. It all sounds a bit childish to me.

I was telling you what your beloved church taught for a long time and are now waffling on in their desperation... to the point where even atheists can be saved if they are "good people" despite what the Bible plainly states, and against the very words of Jesus.
