I wouldn't walk out of my church until the service is through unless I was deeply offended by something really wrong

No where in the Bible does it state a woman cannot be a pastor. a woman cannot be a Bishop because it does say a man. The verse so many men hide behind are in 1 Tim and Titus. Yet a Bishop is not a pastor and a Pastor is not Bishop. In fact, Timothy was not even a Pastor, he was an evangelist [See 2 Tim 4.5]

Furthermore, you have to udnerstand the context of the times, and the women converts of both Corinth and Ephesus.
This utter foolish nonsense that women cannot be pastors, evangelists, and missionaries is just silly and no where confirmed in the Bible and all you do is twist the context in 1 Tim & 1 Cor and the others passages to keep women down.

Men fell from being the high priests at home and at church and you think God may be sovereign to allow women to lead and care for his people!?!?!? Gimme a break and come to full age already and stop with the "I cannot nor will not be ever taught by a woman.

I am the high priest/spiritual authority of my home, and my Wife is a Proverbs 31 woman and I value her wisdom and opinions. she walks beside me, not behind me.

For the record:
The word Pastor appears in the Bible 1x in Jeremiah 17.16
The Word Pastors appears in the Bible 8x[7x in the Book of Jeremiah & 1x in the Book of Ephesians]
The word Bishop appears in the Bible 4x[2x in 1 Timothy, 1x in Titus and 1x in 1 Peter]

Greek Translation of the word Bishop is episkopos
an overseer
  1. a man charged with the duty of seeing that things to be done by others are done rightly, any curator, guardian or superintendent
  2. the superintendent, elder, or overseer of a Christian church

Greek translation of Pastors is: poimēn
1. a herdsman, esp. a shepherd

Hebrew translation of Pastor/s is ra`ah
  1. to tend, pasture
    1. to shepherd
    2. of ruler, teacher (fig)
    3. of people as flock (fig)
    4. shepherd, herdsman (subst

Our church supports a woman missionary. She is a doctor and ministers in Haiti. She come and gives a report of the ministry in Haiti but does not preach. The pastor preaches. When she is on the field she shares the gospel with those she tends to as a doctor but she does not preach on the Lords day in the church. In other words she witnesses but she is not nor would she dream of being a preacher/pastor.

She remains single and she is very dedicated to the Lord and the work to which He has called her. I cannot begin to tell you of the personal sacrifices she has made for the Lord but I know her reward in heaven will be great.

For the cause of Christ

I can assure you on the mission field she is a pastor/preacher.......

I did not understand even half of anything you said in this post. No, I did not say that a missionary woman can speak in front of the pulpit. The simple fact is that Paul said she is not permitted to speak in the Church. That means then or now or 2000 years from now.
SO Paul now is elevated over Christ!?!?.....Did Paul die on the cross? Did Paul save you, Did Paul raise form the dead, If Paul told you to jump off a bridge would you do it!?!?

You might want to see how many women preached and taught with Jesus...yeah I know Jesus was so sub standard to Paul, but he was the author and finisher, not Paul.

And Yeah There is indication how many women ministered with Jesus in The Bible.

I am sure young Timothy often told Mary the Mother of Jesus to sit down and shut up, because Paul told him to...

Clowns like you are going to get an eye opener at the Judgement.

I wouldn't walk out just because she was female. My understanding of what Paul said, stemmed from the confusion caused by women(who sat on one side) talking over to their husbands (who sat with the men on the other side) while the speaker was speaking. He suggested they be quiet then, and to ask of their husbands afterward for what they did not understand. Don't remember where I read that, so I could be wrong. I know it was a woman who was first told to go and tell the good news, Christ has risen.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

I have been lead to understand...
Why treat a woman different? I believe they are created in genesis 1 26-27 just like the man. The man and woman created in this verse are listed separately only for the firmament. There are no real character properties here. Just used to lead astray into the earthly understanding. I am continually reminded to stay the course and focus on God's intended spiritual experience for me...even on through all my time with him.
