I don't know what you mean Stunned. i see God's power at work every day in the lives of His people...if you wonder why miracles aren't as prevalent? miracles never saved. look at the Bible many of the people who witness them, turned away from God. see the Israelites who witnessed the Red sea part make a golden calf to worship instead.

remember between Malachi and John the Baptist there was 400 years of silence from God...no prophets, no miracles at all.

so in comparison, this generation is filled with miraclesa and signs of God's grace and speaking to and through His people.

if people have the ears to hear and the eyes to see, God speaks quite clearly and His power is throughout all of creation.

so i don't understand why you think the church is weak in power and faith.

perhaps more people need to fast from things of this world (not just food) and spend more time alone in prayer like Jesus did?

Okay here's the thread. We can continue talking about if we might possibly be that church Jesus said to: you have little strength but you have not denied Me. (And any other nook or cranny we find ourselves talking about.
Well stuned, you keep confusing "little strength" which is a negative condition: with "a little strength" which is positive. That is why the volcano gave them strength, albeit only a little.

The main thing Ive wondered is what happened to give them little power?
We will never know, will we? There could be several reasons why a church becomes debilitated, but the fact that Christ was giving them an "open door" (presumably to witness and win souls) means that they had been faithful. Since the synagogue of Satan is mentioned, they could have been under severe Satanic attack and oppression, and had become discouraged. Christians can get discouraged when they do not see light at the end of the tunnel.
