After I read my Christian magazine every month, I feel:
  • Inspired by God to do something extraordinary
  • Encouraged to persevere
  • Motivated to serve others

Do you feel that way after reading National Geographic or Good Housekeeping? Both of those magazines are good and enjoyable, but do they help you to focus on noble, pure, and admirable things? If you want to draw nearer to God, consider subscribing to a magazine that exists to bring you positive inspiration like Guideposts magazine (
http://www.guideposts.org) or some other Christian magazine.

Feeling broke? Joyce Meyer and Charles Stanley both offer free magazines.

Such a good idea, to keep our mental input in line with our spiritual world.

On the other hand, God made our physical world so it can be a reflection of the kingdom. God says in the outline of the prayers He suggest that we should pray for his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

That would include creating order, beauty, and harmony in our homes and these magazines have helpful ideas for that. I often find Cosmopolitan giving articles that promote just the opposite. Our vision needs to be through the lens of the kingdom.
