Today I am taking a stand and putting actions to what I preach. I may be persecuted for this post but I feel I HAVE TO WRIGHT IT.
Today I watched the 50 anniversary speeches at the Lincoln Memorial. The statement I will make is by no means a statement of Hate it is a Statement of my Faith. I believe even Martin Luther King JR. would even have a problem with the words spoken by most of the speakers today at the 50th Anniversary of His "I Have a Dream," speech.
Almost all speakers talked about the rights of all races, and I agree. The Bible says in Galatians 3:28
Now, in Christ, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or free, male or female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.
I agree with all that. But in the same lines of these speakers today I feel that they all stepped over the line when they included homosexuality as being equal with Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asian, and all other races.
Homosexuality is not a race it is a life style that is clearly condemned by the Bible. The Bible teaches that Man should marry a Woman. When God looked down at Adam and saw he need a help mate He created Eve not Steve!!!
The Bible says this in Romans 1: 26-28
26 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex with men and started having sex with other women.
27 In the same way, men stopped having natural sex with women and began wanting each other all the time. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.
28 People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking. And so they do what they should not do.
Christians need to stand up for the Christian Beliefs and Christian Life Style. I as a Pastor can't sit by and let this evil go by unnoticed.
This my stand. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If I come under persecution for this post I know one thing , Jesus will stand at the right hand of God and say That's Dennis look at the boldness in the way he is preaching the WORD !!!
I by no means condemning Homosexual people, just as I don't condemn drunks, drug addicts, over eaters, or any other sin. I am just saying If we turn our lives over to God, He will send the Holy Spirit to help us with All sins.
I leave you with these words:
2 Chronicles 7:14
and if my people who are called by my name become humble and pray, and look for me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land.
