One by one Jesse's sons stood before Samuel. All of them Samuel thought might be chosen to be King, because they were big and strong good looking men. God looks past all the outside stuff and looks directly into a persons heart. God will take what the World thinks is a nobody and transform them into a great leader that will change the World. What shape is our heart? Will God choose us to do mighty works for Him. I ask today that God gives us the Heart and Mind of Jesus so we can fight the evil in this World.
6 When Jesse and his sons arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely this is the man who the Lord has chosen.”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Eliab is tall and handsome, but don’t judge by things like that. God doesn’t look at what people see. People judge by what is on the outside, but the Lord looks at the heart. Eliab is not the right man.”
10 Jesse showed seven of his sons to Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen any of these men.”
