Do we let God's Spirit led us? If we are true child of God we do. Our fleshly lust and wants should not be the thing that drives our lives. When we are a true Child of God we will cry out Daddy we need you. If we are true Children we will receive His Blessings we will receive all that He gave Christ. But we will also receive things that the world will throw at us because we are God's Children, Yes sometimes we must suffer like Christ suffered, that is just part of being in the Family!!!

14 The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them.
15 The Spirit that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we cry out, “ Abba, Father.”
16 And the Spirit himself speaks to our spirits and makes us sure that we are God’s children.
17 If we are God’s children, we will get the blessings God has for his people. He will give us all that he has given Christ. But we must suffer like Christ suffered. Then we will be able to share his glory.

I love your posts, Dennis. They are like a springboard to prayer, a guide for walking in the Lord.

I find that when I think I am led by the spirit, I am sometimes not being honest with myself. Our minds are busy all day long, have you ever made of point of listening to the babble of thoughts that drift through? I once found myself telling myself I was too nice to think the thought I had just had!!

It is important to check with scripture, it is important to be absolutely honest with yourself. We must be sure what we think about is led by the spirit, that takes scripture as a checkpoint.

agreed sir..it is true that in my own life my human worldly desires have brought no real fulfillment but made me slide further down the hill..that we all fight hard to climb. my baptism by fire is only because god wanted me to refocus my heart on him again..all roads lead to God!
