A Life of Forgiveness Leads to “Palace Living”
Giving up grudges and walking in love toward others can be really hard, but it brings a great reward. We mature spiritually, which prepares us to handle the good things God has in store for us. With blessings come great responsibility, and we must have a strong Christlike character to be able to enjoy and successfully live out the call He has placed on our lives.
We can learn a lot about this by going back to Joseph’s story.
In Genesis 37, Joseph had a dream that he would rule over his brothers one day. God was showing him that He had great plans for him in the years to come, and He wanted to prepare Joseph to experience his destiny. All of the pain and suffering he endured at the hands of his brothers and as a slave in Egypt shaped him into the great leader he became.
