Freely you have received, freely give.

I attended a block party at my friend Jane Ann's church this past Sunday evening (July 16). It was a real fun experience for me as well as for everyone who came. After walking from the church's parking lot to the water booth, I became thirsty. Before I got a cup, I asked a young man how much the water cost. He looked at me rather strangely and said, "It's free." I then proceeded to get a cool drink of water.
Free. I love that word. It means at no cost to the recipient. Can you think of anything that is free? I know two things that are absolutely free. God's love for everyone is free. God's gift of eternal life is also free. God gives us this wonderful gift by His grace when we place our whole trust in His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price in full when He died on the cross for our sins and for the sins of the whole world.
I encourage you to freely share these two wonderful things with everyone you encounter. Allow God to love others through you and share the Gospel with those in need of Jesus Christ. You will be blessed when you do.
