God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through;
God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

Chorus:
But God hath promised strength for the day,
Rest for the labor, light for the way,
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, undying love.

2
God hath not promised we shall not know
Toil and temptation, trouble and woe;
He hath not told us we shall not bear
Many a burden, many a care.

3
God hath not promised smooth roads and wide,
Swift, easy travel, needing no guide;
Never a mountain, rocky and steep,
Never a river, turbid and deep.

God hath not promise .....
In last two years, i have worked in a small town where internet subscription only 1GB with a cheap smartphone and i don't want to on CC too for personal reason, however, i do miss saints who always support me over here.

After traumatic experiences in my past attacked my soul again, i have to take medicine daily and consult doctor once a month or twice even though i have to work at a small town.

Side effect of the medicine brings some problem to my health. My work was stressful last year, and now is more smooth but government introduce GST this April, i will need God's guidance and Grace in my work, insomnia & anxiety all come to visit me since government budget 2015 announced in October 2014.....

However, Thanks to my family members who always pray and support me, and introduce this hymn to me. Thank you Lord and Thy member of body of Christ.

This hymn is written by Annie Johnson Flint 1866-1932 (Source from www.hymnal.net)
