Let's look at Paul testimony.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
(Rom 7:5 KJV)

The motion of sins Did work in our members when we were in the flesh. Past tense my friend!

Then Paul speaks of his being in the flesh and having the knowledge of the Law. He states that the knowledge of the Law is not going to cut it.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Rom 7:24-25 KJV)

The mind in this verse is dealing with the intellect; knowledge. Here is Strong's citation.

G3563
νοῦς
nous
nooce
Probably from the base of G1097; the intellect, that is, mind (divine or human; in thought, feeling, or will); by implication meaning: - mind, understanding. Compare G5590.

Out side of most not knowing that. What is sadder is most fail to realize that Paul through the Holy Spirit is not finished with his testimony.

He goes on to say....

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
(Rom 8:2-5 KJV)

Sin has been condemned in the flesh; JESUS'S. Paul and we have been made free from the Law of sin and death because sin has been condemned; sentenced! Jesus Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that sins having been separated, we should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed. That the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us. Who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh
(1Pe 2:24)

Fulfilled in us! Fulfilled; to make replete. Very full; saited. Crammed leveled up. No room for anything else. According to our Faith let it be unto us; Amen. For he that sins is a servant of sin. But the Son has made us free and free we are indeed.

G4137
πληρόω
plēroō
play-ro'-o
From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: - accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.
