In our bible study we are going through the history of Germany after Hitler took control and comparing it to how governments today are acting. There are many similarities, and like for the German's, most sound innocent and it is a step by step process. If we had gone from life in 1940 to abruptly the life of 2014, there would be riots.

A man from Arabia was on CC not long ago, saying his life was in danger because of his Christianity.

I am studying Daniel, a book that no one agrees about the meaning of. Some say prophecy says that Christians will be treated as Hitler treated and Jews. All nations will gang up on Israel, defeating her terribly until God steps in, signaling the last days.

So as far as I am concerned, it is time for Christians to make a decision about what they think about making a life or death stand for Jesus, and are they up to it.

When Queen Isabella of Spain decided to kill Jews unless they converted, many pretended to convert. I would imagine we will be faced with the same possibility of pretending to conform. I think we need to prepare ourselves, and make that decision.

I feel I have, but then I am so old it doesn't mean much. At 88, I can't live that many more years, anyway so choosing between death and denying my Lord isn't that big a deal.
