Give thanks unto the Lord - His mercy endures forever.
It's 8:45am on Resurrection Sunday, and I feel a bit like a zombie. This Sunrise Service business is unusual for me, but it truly was a blessing. This was the 38th year that our little suburb has had a community Easter service; that just blows my mind!
There were perhaps 100 people in attendance, from four different churches. After hearing some of the other shepherds pray and preach, I admit, I am the tiniest bit curious about some of the other churches. At the same time, I love my church family so much that I really have no desire to be anywhere else on Sunday mornings.
I don't know if anyone is reading, and that's fine. What I do know - Christ went as a lamb to the slaughter 2000 years ago, for MY redemption, and yours. Despite the things I have said and done (and in my fleshly weakness, sometimes still say and do), despite my faults and failings, His grace, mercy, forgiveness, and love are unfailing. My His praise and thanks always be on my lips, and I pray that His love and mercy are reflected in me every day.
He is risen indeed!
