Hear the voice of Jesus and accept what He has to you and you will relish.
Once our wrath doesn’t work out the righteousness of Jesus, why do we expostulate with people around us? It’s also extraneous we try to fawn over a powerful or rich person in order to win them over, inasmuch as every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning (James 1.17).
There is no point ingratiating ourselves with them because Jesus delights not in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. Jesus takes pleasure in those who fear Him, who hope in His mercy (Psalms 147.10,11).
So, instead of trying to coerce someone to give us what we look forward to having, let’s receive the Word that Jesus implanted in us with meekness. That is to say, let what Zechariah said sink in our mind: not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of Hosts (Zechariah 4.6).
In other words: the power word of Jesus was already ingrafted in us. We only don’t see His power because we smother it with cares and riches and pleasures of life (Luke 8.14) and with lust about other things (Mark 4.19).
So, if you desire a fruitful day, don’t hamper the seed of Jesus (His word) of growing. The beautiful of this seed exceeds all make-up (Proverbs 15.13).
- “Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God. Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1.19-21)
