Of all the things that weigh my soul down
To despair and wonder, to cry and frown
With the end of one, there is yet another
But when I look back as I get further
As I cross through life, season by season
I do not feel prepared to seemingly ease in
But what looked insurmountable and heavy
Now appears feather light, I was happy
In old pictures when I believed I was breaking
It was nothing then, I was only growing
This time should fly by, I await the future me
She whispers, you will lift this easily
