OK, so the Virtual Pilgrim moves on, but well aware that he has become somewhat of a Digital Hermit, which is not how Christ intends him to live...

Although my CC experience has been wonderful, and my Skype contact box is fuller than ever (thank you North America!), I'm well aware of how the internet has taken over a great deal of my life. Even my music was connected to Facebook!!!!

Living a digital life is not in itself bad. I'm a firm believer that God is using the internet to help people find Him,and also find wider community, but surely not at the expense of others? I eat dinner with others, and straightaway retreat to CC or Second Life, the same way I did as a teenager to play Nintendo. Not healthy...

I've been thinking today about how CC can connect with local churches and organisations to enable people to live lives in the so-called real world. I once found a former sex-traffic worker from Cambodia in a virtual church, and tried to connect her with local churches in her city. Nothing. No e-mails or anything...Makes me angry. And she is still hanging out around the same place, being angry and bitter about hr former life, even though she has heard and accepted Christ. What is wrong with us in the Body of Christ, that this doesn't bother us? What have we become??? There must be greater connection to local church and communities to help those people on here with addicition or help finding church etc.

Any thoughts welcome.

THERE IS A VIRTUAL CLASSROOM ON THE WEB OF ALL SUBJECTS. JUST AS CHRISTIAN CHAT IS COMBINED OF ALL PEOPLES. JESUS SAID," LEARN TO LOVE PEOPLE" THIS IS A GREAT PLACE, AND A LESSON TO BE LEARNED RIGHT HERE, IN THE VIRTUAL CHRISTIAN CHAT ROOMS. IT DEVELOPS AND CULTIVATES THE 9 FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. WHEN WE LEARN TO LOVE PEOPLE, IN THE MIDST OF THE PAIN, IT IS THE PRUNING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE PAIN OF THE WEAKNESS'S BECOME STRONGE. A BLESSING TO GROW AND BE HERE. I AM BLESSED.}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}:)

Jeremy, I think cc is a great place for ppl to meet, even though it means u become a bit of a hermit, the irony is that u actually make a lot of friends on cc. After the initial meeting point on cc u can choose to meet with them or connect with them through other internet media - but all in all meeting up on cc is a good thing! :)
