If money wasn't an issue, if I had unlimited resources and time this is what I wish
I could do:
1. Take out plenty of 50$ bills, go out on the street
and while crossing it, as the cars are idle, walk towards them and
place a 50 right under their windshield wiper and walk away.
2. Buy hundreds of pocket sized Bibles and walk by homeless
people and get to know them and eventually share the Gospel with them.
I'd put thousands of dollars in the Bible (in the John 3:16 section)
3. Sponsor several kids through Compassion
4. Build a LEED certified christian based homeless shelter right in the city of Toronto and make it beautiful and livable for those in need.
5. Donate money to organizations so they can build wells in India and parts
of Africa. Then go to one of those trips and help in any way.
6. Buy a modest home and in the early morning bake cookies,
cakes and serve tea, leave my house door wide open and invite anyone to come
in to be heard, prayed for, accepted and helped. You can stay and live
here if you need to. Need money? Tell me the amount and I'll write a cheque
for you.
7. Offer my mother a trip to Israel. She's wanted that for so long.
8. Go to Christian Youth/Young Adult gatherings and Christian Hip Hop concerts that only seem to occur in
the US.
9. Learn Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic
10. Help fund Christian organizations and relief efforts
11. So much more- But in the end, I'd want to build a Christian School
in the Democratic Republic of Congo where I would teach a course
called Life Preparation Foundations (You learn how to find your identity in Christ,
How to cook, How to develop meaningful relationship, How to use Computers,
How to Serve God and Discover Your Gifts/Talents, How to Make Clothes, How to Manage your Finances....a whole heap of electives lol) Of course admission would
be free and uniforms would be provided.

I've been told before that I'm extremely naive.
"Shannon don't you know you could get killed by doing that?
and you're a girl, you could get raped"
True.
But the more I think about it, the more I think of Jesus and the Bible.
If someone is in need, shouldn't we do all we can to help them?
Jesus went through so much just so I could be saved.
I wonder if the angels in Heaven were spazzing out
when God sent Jesus on Earth.
"Why would you die for these people, they're undeserving and ungrateful
and they'll only hurt you!"
(lol I don't know)
I wish I act- without thinking:
"Shoot, if I give this homeless man my 20$ bill I won't have money to
put on my transit card for school".
Dear Lord, help me give whatever I have. Whether it's time, funds,
clothes, insight, a song or even a smile. Help me do it out of Love
simply because You showed Love to me first; when I was completely undeserving.
You see the potential where I only see the failure. You
see the whole picture when I only see splotch on the canvas.
Father please bless me so I can
bless others. Even if I don't have much, help me to give either way.
It's all Yours in the end.
