Its strange that I just watched the documentary on this amazing boy last night, he was well-spoken, highly intelligent, award-winning student, who never let his disease dictate what he was doing or how he was thinking..I have to admire such a person, that is focused on succeeding on his dreams in spite of certain roadblocks...his parents who were physicians themselves, led the fight to create a drug for children with Progeria, and through lots of ups and downs, the drug was approved..many children from all over the world took place in the drug trial that took years to complete, and unfortunately time ran out on some of these precious kids..the ones that took part and were still alive, showed great hope for them..gave them a chance at least, Sam Berns was a great example of inner strength as were his parents, who worked tirelessly to save this boy and all children as well..God decided he needed this great boy, and has him in his arms now..let us all say a prayer for Sam's family and those lives he touched and inspired in his short young life..he's a hero to me!
