Let’s not veer from the Way in order to sort out some predicament!!!

  • “Do not turn to the right hand nor to the left; remove your foot from evil.” (Proverbs 4.27).

When we are victim of some coup and grift, our lean is to belabor and expostulate with the scammer. Of course that this kind of attitude turn us off. Nevertheless, to feed feud only entails vendetta and stir us up to come to grips with hot potatoes through violence and force (contrary to Zechariah 4.6).

At first, when the things turn out, our propensity is to fancy having gotten rid of the problem.

Nonetheless, let’s recall meditating on Christ’s example:

  • “For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2.5-8).

If we pine for inheriting the eternal life, we need to remember that:

  • We need to lose our life here if we long for attain it in the heaven (Matthew 10.39);
  • We need to be the last here to be the first in the kingdom of Christ (Matthew 20.25-28);
  • We need to empty ourselves to be fraught of the Holy Spirit (1Peter 5.5-7).

So, let’s waive our rights, relinquish our comfort here so that we can win people over with regard to Jesus and, with this, reach out to those who will be our glory, joy (1Thessalonians 2.19,20) and heritage (1Peter 3.8,9).

Have a week steadfast in the Way, even when some handicaps arise to make your faith more precious than gold (1Peter 1.6,7).
