A song which I find encouraging:

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ~John 14:27

If we desire such peace, we must keep and always trust in God, even through hardships and troubles, for true peace we cannot obtain on our own. Pure and complete peace may only be obtained when we lay our trust and faith completely upon God, the Creator of all, and look to Him for our sustenance and hope, instead of in our own strength and endeavors.
For we are but flesh and as the flower of the field as spoken in Isaiah, as such we all but fade away and are gone.

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." ~Isaiah 40:8

We must not therefore trust in our own selves, but rather be as the little flowers and rest in the Light of our Creator. As Messiah spoke of the lily of the field, so we should trust in Him and follow the Light of His guidance, and not in our own frailty. For He is our help and our Life. His Words and Commands are very pure, as the dew in the morning, or as the gentle rain from heaven upon the tender herbs and they are Spirit and Light unto our souls.

“And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Matthew 6:28-29

“As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.” Song of Songs 2:2

“My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:” ~ Deuteronomy 32:2

As the flower of the field, we rest in this knowledge and must always keep our eyes gazed and fixed upon the one who has called us unto this hope and peace. For this peace is not as the world perceives peace, but this peace comes from within, from a pure and clean conscience. Even in such a way that during the harshest of storms, or when trampled underfoot, yet stays that tender, lovely little flower, waiting for the maker's return. For as Messiah lived upon this earth, so ought we to live as well.

"Forgiveness is the fragrance the flower leaves on the heel of the one who crushed it." ~David Jeremiah

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Here are some further verses relating to this:
“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” Proverbs 3:13-17

“Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.” ~2 Corinthians 13:11

May the peace of God come to your life, and let your hope be stayed on Him.
