THE OUTER LIMITS........
those of us a little closer to ANTIQUE will recall the t.v show the outer limits.......somewhat like TWILIGHT ZONE ......well today's life story is kinda like that!
In the mid 1990's I was still in denial of my Christian roots...and in full rebellion......smoking, drinking , sailors speech if you know what I mean.... I received a phone call from a friend that I hadnt heard from in some time that would be the catalyst for which GOD would intervene in my rebellious world!
during my years as a bible reading church going young man I had found the study of JESUS return particularly interesting and had read numerous books and studies on the subject as well as the various PROPHETIC bible passages ....I was firmly rooted in the PRE-TRIB CAMP at the time.... but alas Ive shared the falling away that occurred...thus all my studies had faded from my memory.......
those of us that have had even a remote biblical knowledge know something about the number 666.......you know that scary number that will be associated with the final evil ruler known as antichrist....
back to this friend whom God chose to yank me back to the fold.....
I received a phone call from and old friend that i previously mentioned.... to my surprise he told me He thought the antichrist was in power....and went on to explain a Jewish numbering system known as the SP* GEMATRIA many ancient languages including Hebrew and Greek , have numbers that correspond to each letter..... so by converting the letter to its numeric value you come up with a number!!!!
One other note of explanation on this is many of the ancient languages did not have a VOWEL system so vowels were inserted in our modern translations to assist in understanding...this being said, it was up to the translator to insert the vowel that seemed to make the best sense...but all vowels carried roughly the same value...

name could be translated some 11 different ways into Hebrew..........ALL OF THEM NUMERICALLY ADDING TO 666.............
Even I understood the meaning of this alarming news.....Jesus was about to return and unspeakable evil was about to be unleashed on my family .......SO I THOUGHT......
I became totally engulfed at trying to figure out what was next and how I should protect my family.......they had never been inside a church or seen me pray or read the bible....would they believe me.....
I frantically began to reread all the prophetic passages that I could recall and would visit the local Christian bookstore daily looking at books on endtimes.....
as I would read scripture....and compare the various books that I was buying and reading something didnt seem right the books didnt seem to line up with what I was reading in the Bible
I discovered a book on the shelf called THE SIGN BY ROBERT VANKAMPEN.... At first glance seemed to teach the same things I was already reading but it was a lager book and seemed to be filled with much more information and I could clearly see lots of scripture references.... I BOUGHT IT... & READ IT......Then RE-READ IT... i was flabbergasted this is what i was seeing in scripture but no one else that i had found was teaching it this way........,.
OH>>> IF I COULD JUST TALK TO ROBERT VANKAMPEN...PICK HIS BRAIN.....
I read the short bio on the book cover and began to search the internet for him in hopes that perhaps he was going to be hosting a conference or speaking at local church....i called Chicago, Wheaton college....various business that were mentioned....no luck.....
I noticed after looking through the book there was a hotline for answers, prayers, questions, comments etc in the back of the book.. hadnt noticed prior...thus I called....inquiring if I could speak to Mr Van Kampen .. and a bit about my quest and experience....to my surprise...I was told he had recently founded and was building a church IN WEST OLIVE MICHIGAN GASP.........
I was there the following SUNDAY....and had the opportunity to speak to him....and I continued to attend his bible classes and befriend him and his family........it was through HE & They and the church they had founded that I would return FULL THROTTLE to serving the LORD..........
OH YEAH....OUTER LIMITS......During this time of search I had a PSYCHOTIC EPISODE, DIDNT SLEEP FOR NEARLY 2 WEEKS FELT LIKE I HAD ELECTRIC CURRENT COURSING THROUGH MY BODY....WAS PLEADING WITH FAMILY AND PANICKED AROUND THEM TO THE POINT THEY NEARLY HAD ME COMMITTED... still cant explain that episode......but in the end I knew it was GOD directing me to a CHURCH I WOULD CALL HOME...
