So, I have been a member of CC since 2010 and I have never had any issues on CC (well, I have had to report one person a while back but that was so long ago and I have been more careful on this site since then). But I never had to deal with anything much like today. I said hello to someone new, and as always, I ask questions just to get to know people (no harm in that, right?) Well, one of my first questions is "Where are you from?" because I have been to many parts of the world and just like to know.

Well, today a guy said that he didn't want to tell me where he is from because he doesn't know me. I said I understood and so I then asked him what he does for a living. Again, he could have told me that he didn't wish to share that information with me and I would have left it alone. But instead he tells me that he thinks I am a stalker and that he is going to report me.

I would NEVER do such a thing. Like I said, I have been on CC for years and have never encountered such an issue. I am now afraid that I will lose my account because some guy is accusing me of stalking him after just a couple questions. He could have easily said, "I do not feel comfortable talking to you." But instead, he decided he would report me.

I want to know if I will be okay??? I enjoy the CC community and am now upset by this.

Thank you!! I am good now. Me and that person talked it out. I was just nervous that I'd be deleted from CC more than anything! I am a very transparent person for the most part. I guess I should realize that not everyone is as transparent as me. And yes, I know that we should all be a bit cautious on the internet. Again, I was not so upset about the situation as much as I was fearful of losing my CC account. Anyway, I am from California. Thanks again!
