Luke 12:39-56 That servant that made not ready

39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

This is all the rage now. Would Hillary Clinton have had a better response to the pandemic? Past presidents are coming forward and saying they had a plan, they would have prevented this from happening. Biden and Obama castigated Trump for not taking responsibility for this happening on his watch. If only they had known the thief was coming! So much for the NSA and CIA and all the other agencies which were supposed to warn us. Should give you pause to see so many Christians mobilizing to “Stop the Steal” when the Lord prophesied about this happening at the end of the age. The word Passover actually means that the Lord stood over the house to protect it from the thief. God protected us, so you also should be ready, loins girded, ready to leave.

41 And Peter said, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even unto all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.

I have heard Christians say they don’t pay any attention to prophecy. You can’t know the day nor the hour, so what is the point? How are you supposed to know when to give them their food in due season? Simeon and Anna didn’t know the day nor the hour, that doesn’t mean they ignored the prophecies. They were ready, loins girded, lamps lit, and ready to open to the Lord the minute they saw Him. And they gave the people their portion of food in due season. In my own experience I became acutely aware that the pandemic was a sign that the Day of the Lord was at hand from the book of Joel. I saw the shutdown as a sabbath rest imposed on the world by the Lord. Therefore when DeBlasio implemented the vaccine mandate on all teachers I was already fully aware of the situation and so within 24 hours I was taking action to resign and move out of NY. I was able to immediately open up to the Lord because I was paying attention to the prophecies.

45 But if that servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the unfaithful.

I will not dare to say this about anyone. Already I have been accused of a whole lot of things I have never said. It is Jesus who is saying this, not me! I will point out there are many Christians who rebuke other believers for talking about the rapture, the signs, and the prophecies. So many are quick to call Dana Coverstone a false prophet. I don't think people realize how serious that is. If you call someone a false prophet and you are wrong, the consequences will be severe.

47 And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; 48 but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more.

I like this term “made not ready”. The minute I realized this was the end of the age I began “making ready”. Other people are going stir crazy from being cooped up in their house for so long. I am so thankful for this time, it gives me a chance to “make ready”. This is one of the issues with Dana Coverstone that they miss. They think that since something didn't happen according to their opinion two years ago that he is a false prophet. But those prophecies were all warnings where the Lord said "brace yourself". It took me 8 months to retire, fill out all the proper paperwork and begin receiving benefits, and to sell the house, close on the house, pack up the house and move to another state. If the point of a word is to "brace yourself" for what is coming then you have to give people enough time to brace themselves.

49 I came to cast fire upon the earth; and what do I desire, if it is already kindled?

Have you ever made a bonfire? It can take a full day to properly prepare for a good bonfire. Think of the fires we saw last year in California, Australia and Siberia as the fact that this bonfire has already been kindled. When you prepare a bonfire you don’t simply prepare the wood, you also prepare large vessels of water. Most people use this water to keep the fire from getting out of control, after they light the wood. Elijah is the only one I know of who used the water before the wood was lit.

50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Two competing pictures. Baptism is to immerse with water, similar to Noah’s flood, and a type of Jesus passing through death. However, we have been promised that God would not judge the world again with water but the next time it is with fire. Jesus proclaimed the judgement on this world. He was then immersed in 12 buckets of water. Not just dead but really, really dead. Rising from the dead kindled this fire. At the end of this age fire will fall from heaven, just like the bonfire that Elijah built.

51 Think ye that I am come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 for there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 They shall be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother in law against her daughter in law, and daughter in law against her mother in law.

The gospel of peace refers to peace with God, not the Satanic system. We are not here to make peace with those who rob widows' houses and for a pretense make long prayers.

54 And he said to the multitudes also, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it cometh to pass. 55 And when ye see a south wind blowing, ye say, There will be a scorching heat; and it cometh to pass. 56 Ye hypocrites, ye know how to interpret the face of the earth and the heaven; but how is it that ye know not how to interpret this time?

Atheists are the biggest hypocrites. I studied geology in college and in graduate school. Science is all about how to interpret the face of the earth. Atheists use science continually to dispute with those about the Bible. They love to claim that the account of Noah is not true until you present the scientific observations on the face of the Earth that confirm the account. Then it becomes clear they don’t care about the evidence, they play dumb. For example, how do scientists know that the flood waters were about 40 meters deep? You can calculate this from the ripple marks. The ripple marks from the flood were so big that we didn’t even know they were ripple marks until we flew over them in an airplane. How do they know that the meteorite that struck the Indian ocean was at the same time as the end of the last ice age and the time of Noah’s flood? Little sea shells from the bottom of the ocean were washed up onto Madagascar in the Tsunami, creating thousand foot high walls of sand called chevrons. We have carefully catalogued sea shells, we know how old they are and we know they are from the deep ocean. It is the same with this time, the Bible has many words concerning this time.

He is like a man who forgets what manner of man he is

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible, this should be hung up in every teacher break room in the country. The most common refrain among teachers is that the kids are lazy. I want to share my personal experience, this is what I see when I look in the mirror. My mom came up to the school in my junior year to talk about applying to college with the guidance counselor. The guidance counselor looked at my schedule and said "he has a free period right now let me go show you where he is". I was in this big break room with about fifty kids. Everyone else was playing board games, card games or just sitting and talking. I was in the back of the room using a portion of a table to furiously write. I had no idea that they were standing at the door. The guidance counselor turned to my mother and said "he is the hardest working student we have ever seen". This was a very good high school in the suburbs with about two thousand kids. So as the "hardest working student they had ever seen" I can say that the kids I teach are no lazier than I was. My mom told me it was all she could do to keep her mouth from hitting the floor when she heard that. So let me share the background story. In 8th grade we had a mock presidential election and my best friend ran for president and I was his campaign manager. There were four candidates. My friend won and afterwards we met in the teachers room and they said all the candidates and the three other campaign managers would all get an A, I would get a B. I said "why do I get a B, we won?" They said "we didn't think you worked that hard. I didn't complain, I didn't put up a fuss or bring my parents in to complain. Instead this was a revelation to me, I had no idea that teachers would grade you based on how hard they thought you had worked. I realized that no one cares what your grades were in 8th grade, so this information was far more valuable to me in high school. I decided I would make sure that when I was in high school my teachers would see every bit of work I did. But how do you do that? That was when I got the very simple plan, at three O'clock I would lock my books in my locker. If I don't take them home I can't do any school work at home. My nights and weekends were very relaxed as a result. However, how do you get all your work done during school? I wrote English assignments during homeroom. I did math problems walking to and from class and by the end of the day I had done them all. I wrote social studies papers during lunch. Sometimes I would have to come in as soon as they opened the doors at 7:30 in the morning. For example I learned that it is better to grab your books and go to your first period class before beginning work at 7:30 rather than just start working at your locker. By the time the class starts the halls will be full of people, you will have to pack up everything in your book bag and then when you get to class your teacher might not even be there yet, or if they are the class might not start for another five minutes. If you sit right by their door when they come you simply pick everything up, go and sit at a desk and continue working until class starts. Much more efficient. But, what about studying for tests? When my first test came along as a freshman I had figured out how to get all my schoolwork done during the day using every minute, but I didn't have any time left over to study. So I prayed that the Lord would help me to figure out how to study during the day, but I told Him, I don't have any extra time to give You. I thought this was impossible, but He came up with this brilliant solution. Study for tests when you are in class. Give the teacher your full and undivided attention. Concentrate on them. During exams I would be able to replay in my mind what the teacher had said verbatim. I learned that teachers will cover everything on the exam in class. My friends would talk about staying up till 2 to study and then sleep through school. I on the other hand would go to bed at 9pm, 10pm at the latest. I was always well rested, focused and sharp in school. So my mother never saw me with a book the entire time I was in school. She never bothered me because I was an A student, meanwhile I got every break and consideration from the teachers because as they would put it "you are the hardest working kid in the school". My point is I realized this argument about kids being lazy was junk, I was as lazy as any kid was and I was an A student and went to an elite university.

The second most common refrain is that the kids are reading at a very low level. This was demonstrably true for my school. But I felt this was a minor obstacle to overcome. On the science regents exams the short answer questions are often one or two words or a number. Also all the big words that my kids don't know are words that kids in the elite high schools also don't know. I went to a top high school so I had a very clear handle on what their reading level was. In those high schools those kids have a higher reading level because they read the Harry Potter books and the Lord of the Ring's books and things like that. Few if any of these kids are reading science books and journals coming into high school.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The Law of liberty is the single best principle on how to teach. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. When I was in high school I never took notes because I would never take my notebook home to study, so what is the point. Instead I focused on the teacher completely. As a result I did not care if my students took notes and never emphasized it. When I was a kid I wanted to know what I needed to do to get an A. So as a teacher I tried to make this process as transparent and straightforward as I could. I also kept the gradebook updated everyday so kids could see exactly where they stood. And I used robo calls to let kids and parents know all the important things related to the class, especially if they are failing and what they needed to do to pass. Step 1, remember clearly what kind of "lazy" person you were as a kid, and step 2, with this clear memory try to treat the kids exactly how you wished your teachers would treat you.

The book of James is the Litmus test

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

What a great test. The Lord said we would have to give account for every idle word that we speak. What are you speaking every day, that is the real test. But James is not condemning you if you have the thought or the inclination. The term "bridleth your tongue" indicates that your tongue is still the flesh, but it is under the control of someone else, the one who is riding the horse. This is what we mean by "Is Jesus Lord of your life"? If Jesus is not Lord of your life then your religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

This is just wonderful writing. Think of a spectrum. At one end you have the person who goes to church and appears religious but his tongue is not bridled and in reality Jesus is not Lord of His life. At the other end of the spectrum you have the believers with pure and undefiled religion before God. They visit the fatherless (orphans) and Widows in their affliction and they also keep themselves unspotted from the world. No greed, no covetousness, they are like that poor widow who threw two mites into the offering and Jesus said she gave more than all the others. Between these two extremes are all the believers.

Many Christian churches have become cults. A cult is either "spotted by the world" like these preachers preaching the prosperity gospel, teaching that gold chains, luxury cars and mansions are evidence of God's blessing. Or, at the other end of the cult spectrum they do not visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction. Instead every dollar they collect goes to the "leader". They don't have soup kitchens, they don't help people of the community. They will explain that their ministry is the best help for the world so every dollar goes to the "ministry" which just means that it goes to the leader of the cult.

Consider the Catholic church, without any doubt you can look back in history and find people in the Catholic church who did this. They ran orphanages, they helped widows, they were unspotted with the world taking on a vow of poverty. But, on the other hand they have built huge cathedrals, the Vatican runs one of the biggest banks in the world, and their involvement in politics is certainly a very big spot from the world.

It is not so easy to spot "cults". They aren't all selling flowers at the airport. Now remember this is a spectrum, you won't find any "perfect" church, and you shouldn't. The church should be a hospital filled with sinners who are "being saved". But you should surely see all of these things if the church is on the Christian end of the spectrum where Jesus is Lord.

A lot of people think it is so hard to find a church. Really? Talk to the members, are their tongues bridled, is Jesus Lord in their life? That is the first criteria. Then what about the ministries, do they take care of widows and orphans? That would be the second key criteria. Finally, are they unspotted by the world. If you can find those three then you know this church is healthy.

The shadow of death

Luke 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Colossians 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Stan shares about death in this message based on the testimony of those who died: https://rumble.com/v1flaob-what-happens-when-you-die-08112022.html

My understanding of the Bible is that all of these realities will cast their shadow into our world. Some people think the world we live in is like a computer simulation and there is some evidence of that. Imagine you are sitting in an immersive computer simulation and then you die in the game. You take the headset off and you are completely outside of the time in the game and you have your 30 year old body, not the old body of an 80 year old you might have had at the end of the game.

So if the Bible talks about "eternal torment" then there should be a shadow of that in this world. If the world talks about discarded silver, there should be a shadow of that. Hebrews says that all of those articles in the temple are a shadow of the heavenly things. So if you are being built into a heavenly temple to God then in this life you will be a shadow of that. In other words, all of us, whether we are going to "heaven or hell" are sitting in the shadow of death.

When we go through tribulation it can be like the process by which they refine silver. They crush the ore, melt it, skim off the lighter stuff on top, and are left with pure silver. You experience being crushed and going through the fire but come out refined. However, all that lighter stuff they skimmed off the top may have picked up some silver. So again, you crush it, melt it, and sure enough you can get a little more silver out of it. In the end you will have a slag heap of discarded rock. That rock was very close to silver, it went through the same process as silver, and yet, in the end, nothing.

So then what would be the shadow of eternal torment? We have some things that remain with us "forever". There is toxic waste that can take 1,000 years to clean up and then there is nuclear waste. Plutonium has a half life of 24,000 years. So after 24,000 years half of the radioactive waste of something that is truly deadly will be gone, after another 24,000 years you will be down to 1/4th of the radioactive waste, still very likely to very deadly. They estimate that this nuclear waste must be stored for a million years! That would be a shadow of eternal torment.

The shadow of death, part 2

So this would indicate we have many more examples of what may happen. You have people who become great grandparents with very large families and very joyous gatherings. You have others who go to prison for life, still others who get the death penalty. Remember the rich man and Lazarus?

Being rich and comfortable in this life is by no means an indication of your future. Rather the purpose of this life is to reveal your soul. Imagine you have this rich, comfortable, wealthy person who has to step over these poor miserable beggars outside his front door. That reveals what kind of person they are. They are toxic and just like not wanting toxic waste in your neighborhood you can imagine in heaven they don't want these toxic souls.

But those guys as toxic as they might be are not as deadly as a pimp, or a child trafficker, or the head of a cartel. You can imagine those guys are much more like Plutonium. A serial killer is like the reality and Plutonium is the shadow.

So then in this typology the first rapture is to provide all the articles to build the tabernacle in the wilderness. This gives God a command center from which He can lead the army into the good land. Ultimately when everyone is caught up you have everything necessary for the Temple, a solid dwelling place and throne room for God on Earth.

Therefore what is the "Mark of the Beast"? This is like being part of the Gestapo or wearing a pin identifying you as part of the Nazi party. Not all Germans joined these. You have the Jews who were persecuted and abused. Then you have the Germans who tried to help and hide them. You also have the Germans who didn't want to get involved. They didn't agree but at the same time they didn't want to put their own family in danger. Finally, you have those who embraced this evil. Those are the ones who take the mark of the beast.

15th of Av, the curse is over, we are raised in newness of life

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The Bible describes the children of Israel receiving the law on Shavuot and they were condemned. But this came to an end when Jesus was crucified on the cross. From that point on there is no more condemnation, no more defeat, to those who walk after the Spirit of the crucified and resurrected Christ.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

After they were condemned and the spies gave a bad report, this was when the leaders of the Jews rejected Jesus. It demonstrated that the law was weak because of the flesh and that entire generation was condemned to death. However, the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled by the next generation, those of us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

10
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

This is what we saw for 40 years in the wilderness, 40 x 49 = 1960 + 70 (Temple was destroyed on the 9th of Av in 70 AD). That takes us to 2030. Subtract one year for the year they already were in the wilderness and you get 2029. So then we should be able to enter the good land in 2029. Prior to entering there should be a seven year tribulation, the 70th week in Daniel. This should begin on Feast of Trumpets in 2022.

11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

This is a reference to the rapture. The dead in Christ rise first, just like they did in the morning of the 15th of Av.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

All those who lived after the flesh died in the wilderness. It was the new creation, the new generation in Christ that lived.

14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

During the church age if yo were led by the Spirit of God, you are the sons of God.

15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Their parents were slaves in Egypt and they had the spirit of bondage. Their kids did not receive that spirit, they received the spirit of sonship and they will cry out “Abba, Father”.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

When they entered the good land with Joshua they were glorified together with him.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

What did we see during those 40 years in the wilderness, suffering, but it was nothing compared to the glory of them as the kingdom of God on Earth.

19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

For 40 years they were waiting for the curse to be over.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

The Redemption of our body is the rapture. This is when we will receive the sonship.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

The hope of our salvation is a reference to the rapture.

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Again, the rapture is part of our full salvation in God.

31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Here we are, at the end of the age, we see all these forces arrayed against us and the key is to see that God is with us.

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Ultimately this is a love story.

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Accursed? Whoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

Paul is saying that his brethren, the Jews, are likened to those who refused to enter the good land and were accursed.

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Think about it, once the Israelites were cursed to wander in the wilderness for 40 years they still had the covenants, they still had the law and the service, Abraham was still their father according to the flesh.

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

You need to have faith in the God of resurrection to be in Isaac.

8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

For us the rapture is the "word of promise".

9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. 10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

So then, even among those who are in Isaac it is not of works but of Him who calls

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

It has been an eye opener to me to see that Satanists believe in God, believe in the resurrection, believe in the rapture, but they are hateful.

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Wow. Big warning to me, and should be a big warning to all of us. There, but for the grace of God, go I.

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

If all the spies had seen this then perhaps they wouldn't have given the evil report. Those giants were there so that God could show His power.

18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

Uggh, I hate this. You have an expert potter and you have some smart alec kid over in the corner "why are you doing it like that?" Watch and learn! The goal is to have a group of people filled with faith. Do you know how to fill someone with the faith in God that overcomes giants? No? So then, watch and learn.

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Hypocrites! What is a bomb but a vessel that is made unto dishonor, a vessel of wrath fitted to destruction? Why did man make those? So they could rule the world. Why did God allow it? So He could reveal the ones which he had afore prepared unto glory. Jesus said "blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth".

25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Paul is likening these world rulers with nuclear warheads to Esau. How pathetic to call God unrighteous because He says He hates them.

26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

This is the rapture. That is God saying "you are my people who I love".

27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

There were 12 spies, only 2 gave a good report, that is 1/6th. That is probably a good estimate of the number of Christians who will be raptured of all that call themselves Christians.

29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

Look at the US, this is so true. Look at California, so true.

30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. 31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Yes, there are many "religious" people who are very serious in their pursuit of their religion. One strategy works, the other fails. I use this analogy, suppose you are a basketball coach, hard as you try you keep losing. You are studying all the books on basketball, you are doing all the drills, and yet hard as you try you keep losing to this other coach. What is his secret? Well in desperation that other coach tried putting that skinny little kid at the end of the bench named Michael to help his team cross the Jordan. As believers we have Jesus on our team, put him on the court and give him the ball, that is the secret.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

God is judging the Appeasement policy of the Apostasy.

https://news.yahoo.com/irs-denies-tax-exempt-status-160500810.html

You will have two options, be a witness for Jesus Christ, do not deny his name or His word.

Option 2

Compromise and be part of the apostasy and they will rub your nose in denying the Lord, denying His word, until you receive the mark of the beast.

Why is this important?

There are many Christians who feel that you don't need to study about the rapture and prophecy and the end of the age as long as you are ready to go with the Lord whenever He returns.

I would say that is a very big if, but provided you are ready when the Lord returns this is probably true. But let me clarify what I mean by "true". The New Testament says "who are you to judge another man's servant to his own master he will stand or fall". If you are a faithful servant to the Lord and He has spoken to you on this matter then amen, so be it.

However,

1. One fourth of all scripture is prophetic. We all have been charged to read the word, meditate on the word, pray the word, preach the word, teach the word, etc. It is hard to imagine that the Lord would give us all those charges and yet say "by the way, ignore one fourth of the scripture".

2. We have been charged repeatedly in the New Testament to watch for His return. That is a commandment. The Lord said why do you say you love me if you don't do what I command?

3. The Bible says "as you see the day approach look up for your redemption draweth near". Seems to me you have to pay attention to the prophecies to "see the day approach".

4. We are supposed to be about our father's business, filled with faith when the Lord returns. So if you are taking care of the Lord's house, taking care of your relationship with the Lord and serving in ministry then you are about the Lord's business. But how are you taking care of the Lord's house if you are not sharing how the things that are happening in the world are a fulfillment of prophecy. The church is going to be distraught over famines, plagues, recessions, wars and rumors of wars. They are looking for you to be that lighthouse that warns them of impending danger. Also, what about your personal time with the Lord, will it be disrupted by what is happening in the world? Finally, you can use these events to preach the gospel and minister to the Lost.

A word for the atheists
