The seven lampstands are the seven churches

Revelation 1:20 As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the angels (divine messengers) of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

The Lampstand is in heaven at Jesus coronation

Revelation 4:5 From the throne came flashes of lightning and [rumbling] sounds and peals of thunder. Seven lamps of fire were burning in front of the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;

Philadelphia will be kept from the hour of trial

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Sardis is warned to watch or else suffer loss

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Jesus is outside of the Laodicean church

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Pergamos has the doctrine of Balaam, a false prophet

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

Thyatira has the woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

After the church age (Revelation 2-3) we have the Trumpet call and the rapture

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Luke 22:13-38 Training is over, this is no longer a drill

13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover. 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

This is so powerful. The Lord is coming, we need to get ready, what is the most important thing for us to do? Sit at the Lord’s table and eat with Him, eat His body and blood that was shed for us. Realize that every word from this Bible was given to us through the blood of the Lord and the apostles. Realize that this was given for us. Do it in remembrance of Him, if you are scared, if you are looking at the horror sweating drops of blood, do that in remembrance of Him. This is a new testament, we have a covenant, we have promises, it was enacted with the blood of Jesus. Think of the joy of His return when we once again can feast with him, this time in victory. There is also a prophecy here that the Lord will not eat this anymore with us until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. Could be a prophecy concerning the rapture.

21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

At the end of the age the false prophets will be revealed and they are going to be those who were at the Lord’s table, they were in the church, just like Judas. There is a "but" here. At the end of the age the Lord will eat this with us again at the fulfillment, "but" behold, right now we have a traitor, a false prophet in our midst.

22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! 23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

Judas, like Balaam was simply a fleshly man who saw an opportunity to make merchandise of the saints. If you are not out hawking the word of God this is not referring to you.

24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. 25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. 26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. 27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

We need to see this. Our worth is not based on how the world measures our worth, it is based on the Lord Jesus. If He says “well done, faithful servant” then that is high praise. Let's be at the table as one serving when He returns.

28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

If we have this vision our entire outlook changes. Right now people are protesting because they are being treated unfairly. But see this and all of a sudden you are worried, “I hope I have endured enough temptations, please Lord, make sure I have been with you through all the temptations”.

29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

We have a wonderful future of fellowship and joy in the presence of the Lord as well as ruling and reigning with Him. You may think, I can’t be the head, all I have ever known is being the tail. That is why some have referred to this as the “upside down” kingdom. The servants rule.

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

This is true of all the apostles. Paul was “less than the least” having consented to the stoning of Stephen and having persecuted the church. James was essentially a cult leader during the early days of the church before he repented. The unofficial leader of the “concision” that Paul talked about in Galatians. Your ministry comes from your faith failing not when Satan tries to sift you. Peter denied the Lord here, but later when told to go to Cornelius house He didn’t deny the Lord. He had the keys and opened the kingdom to both Jews and Gentiles. Paul saw the Body of Christ and brought that vision to the church. James saw how to stand up to and respond to cult leaders.

35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

In this age there is the kingdom of the heavens and there is the Satanic worldly system. These two cannot coexist. If you are truly of the kingdom of the heavens you must be reckoned as a transgressor with those in the Satanic worldly system. During the Lord's ministry we were trained, but from the time of His crucifixion the training was over and it was no longer a drill.

38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

I love this word. Recently I watched this documentary on the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. At the last play of their fifth championship they are sitting on the bench. Jordan knows he will be double teamed and he puts a cup of gatorade in front of his mouth so you can’t read his lips while he tells Steve Kerr to be ready for a pass. He knows that if they double him Steve will be open. So Steve is screaming back “OK, I’ll be ready!” It reminds me of this verse. You have the Lord who is completely aware of the devices of the evil one and you have the disciples who are completely naive.

We are not prophets

Watchmen are those who are watching in the night. There is only one person, other than the Bible, that I am posting on this blog that is claiming to be giving you dictation from God and that is Vicky Goforth Parnell.

The rest of us are looking at the signs, at the Bible, at current events, and trying to piece together what is going on. Like Thomas Edison we have not failed 99 times, rather we have shown 99 possible interpretations that are not true.

I am very aware that I do not have all the answers. As a result I post links to people who do not agree with my view, but just like a bunch of blind men trying to figure out what an elephant looks like I believe they have something to offer in putting this puzzle together.

I have posted links from many, many different people because I wanted to show that you have many witnesses right now saying the Lord is coming and because they all have a different perspective than me. The one I am closest to is DTBM if you wanted to compare my speaking with any of them, but they all have something special to offer that I don't have, which is why I post these links. There are many others that I am also very similar to but I feel posting those links would simply be redundant.

I have not been surprised at this response, Jesus told us there would be those in the house of God, the evil servants, who would beat their fellow servants who were watching for His return. I compare talking about the rapture today to talking about the Sabbath at the time of Jesus. It seems these two topics were the "third rail" that you were not allowed to touch. However, I am very clear that I need to follow the Lord Jesus example and ignore the Pharisees and Sadducees who attack us.

The Prayers of a righteous man availeth much

The 18th letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Tsadi, a picture of a servant bent over carrying a burden. It is also the number 90. The first 11 letters of the Hebrew alphabet are like the first half of our life where we go through a training, like school and college. Then the second half begins our career and that begins with Lamed, the shepherds staff. This leads us through many other experiences where we must hear, and see and speak. But when you get through those you can then become a servant who is bearing a burden. We have the mind of Christ who emptied Himself and became a servant. Tsadi forms a pair with Kuf, Tsadi represents righteousness and Kuf Holiness. If you take the word for Tsadi and add a Kuf at the end it means a righteous person. Sarah was 90 when she gave birth to Isaac, the number 90 reflects maturity in faith. This is the 18th letter in the Hebrew alphabet and the Hebrew word for life has a numeric value of 18.

Psalm 119:137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.

Jesus was the one who humbled Himself and made Himself of no account and became a servant. God recognized Him as the righteous one, the one who is worthy to open the scroll. This is the fundamental contrast between Him and the Satanic worldly leaders. They are not righteous, they are not servants, they are not humble, and their judgements are not upright. We get a wonderful contrast between the two, so everything that happens in this world should point you to Jesus, the righteous one.

138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

We were commanded to love one another. That is righteous, that is faithful. We were commanded to follow the Lord's example when He washed the disciples feet. That is righteous, that is faithful. We were commanded to not call believers fools or to slander others. That is righteous, that is faithful.

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

This is a calling. Do you see a need to teach the children God's word? That is a ministry. Do you see a need to restore righteousness in our electoral system because they have forgotten God's word? That is a ministry. What are the enemies that you see hindering your walk with the Lord? That could be a ministry. Perhaps it is counseling, perhaps you want to start a business that is upright and righteous, perhaps you want to help drug addicts to be rehabilitated that is a ministry.

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

This is the problem, there are a lot of "good works" but very few "pure works". People who give money want to control the work, they want to be glorified, or to use it for good PR, or one way or another they have a motive. That is not pure. If you want a ministry, focus on being pure. Pastor Sandy Armstrong pointed out that the minute these Youtube ministries want to monetize their ministry they are no longer pure and they lose the anointing. There are ministries that are hawking books or are always asking for donations.

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

If you choose to not take that path you will be small and despised. Recently I was ridiculed that no one would want to buy my book if I turned this blog into a book. I have no interest in doing that and it is my goal that this would not be monetized. I don't post on Youtube. In fact I do not care if anyone reads this or not. First and foremost this is for me and the Lord. Anyone else who gets a blessing from this is a bonus.

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

People talk about mentors, and all that other stuff. The Bible is the truth that guides this blog. Jesus righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, His words, His example, His commandments, these are the things that lead and guide this ministry.

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

Trouble and anguish are the two key motivators for any ministry. Why do you have a soup kitchen? Trouble and anguish have taken hold of people. Why do you have marriage counseling? Trouble and anguish have taken hold of couples. We can dive right into where there is the most trouble and anguish and yet we can find daily delight in the word of God and not only so but in God's commandments.

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Any real ministry is always on the edge of life and death. Every day you are praying for understanding of God's testimonies that you might live. Recently I have been considering various prayers of mine that were answered to understand more. I will share in detail in a post in the very near future.

Matthew 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

All the watchmen have seen this. There have been many who rebuke them, call them false prophets, ridicule, insult and slander them. So I think this is a fulfillment of prophecy we are seeing right now.

Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Now I have seen ever since the Revelation 12 sign in 2017 we have seen so many believers rise up and trim their lamps. Youtube, Rumble and the internet are filled with these testimonies. So then who is saying to "give us of your oil"? This is the same word used by Satan to tempt the Lord when he said "all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me". Many of the watchmen are doing this without any monetary gain. The problem with selling books or monetizing videos or doing something to profit from your ministry is you allow someone else other than God to have influence. This is how the world operates, so many hucksters hawking the word of God. This doesn't mean that everyone who is selling books or asking for donations is a huckster, but it does mean they have fallen for this temptation. George Mueller ran an orphanage and he vowed the day I have to ask for donations is the day I will end the ministry. You have to put your full and total trust in God and that is true worship. Pastor Sandy Armstrong said that once you are monetizing your ministry on Youtube, or selling books or something else then it is like you are singing for your supper. Youtube is like that cowboy western where the guy shoots a gun at your feet and tells you to dance. You have to continually pump out ministry to keep them happy and sending you checks. He said once you do that the anointing leaves. That is why they don't have oil in their lamps.

The foolish virgins fell for this temptation from Satan.

This is another fulfillment of prophecy that we see.

Compare that word for give with the word for sell which is used in Matthew 10:29, 13:44, and 19:21

Lessons from my prayer life, a reflection

1. My dad died of leukemia. He knew it was terminal. I called my dad and there was no answer, so I told my brother who contacted someone on the island where he lived and they found him in distress and sent him to the hospital in an ambulance. I was called to the hospital saying he was expected to die that evening. I lived four hours away and when I got there he looked very bad but he grabbed my hand and was pleading to be given more time because he hadn't done his will. He wanted a chance to finish it. I thought that was a very reasonable request and prayed for him. The Bible says 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

So I spent the night in his room praying for him. Later he said he saw me surrounded by demons and was terrified (it is not clear whether or not my father was saved).

However, the next morning he looked great. He was sitting up, laughing, joking, and apparently feeling fine. We got him a lawyer and he spent a few hours with the lawyer completing the will. The lawyer went to the office, got everything written up and came back later and had the whole thing witnessed, etc. My father lived another two weeks. We had been told by the doctors that they did not expect him to live through the night but after his recovery the rest of my family attributed that to a blood transfusion he received. That did not seem reasonable to me that a blood transfusion could do that otherwise rich people all over the world would be getting blood transfusions every week.

In looking back on this I realize that God had been bothering my dad about finishing his will, he kept bothering him and my dad kept putting it off, so this event was a "shot across the bow" saying do it now, you are out of time. As a result I look at all illness and health events as God speaking to us.

2. My mom collapsed at home and woke up on the bathroom floor. She knew something was wrong and called her neighbor but her words were gibberish. The neighbor realized something was wrong and called an ambulance. She had had a stroke. If you can catch the stroke immediately they have some medicine they give which is supposed to be helpful. However, in this case they had no idea how long it had been and that medicine is very dangerous if you give it after too much time, so they were unable to give it to her. As a result of the stroke her right side was paralyzed and she was speaking gibberish. I got the call that morning and drove to the hospital which was four hours away. In the car I was praying and prayed "Lord, if it is your will you can heal her". Immediately I got the response, "when has it ever not been My will to heal?" I realized that prayer was gibberish. People pray it to say this wasn't God's will. That prayer might have been based on Paul's experience where God told him "my grace is sufficient for you". But that is the one constant in every time someone came to the Lord praying for healing, they got His speaking. So even with Paul the Lord's will was to heal, but in his case the thorn was helping him receive more grace.

My two brothers and I were with my mom that day, and considered how this would change everything (she lived on a mountainside, alone, in a rural area). The next morning we returned to the hospital and she was fine. She could speak and her arm was fine. I then get a call from my sister (this is unusual, she would usually call one of my other two brothers who were both there as well) and she was asking me if she would ever be able to speak to my mother normally again, I said you can talk to her normally right now and handed the phone to my mom. In this case I believe the stroke to my Mom was God's speaking to me. My prayers were gibberish, He wanted me to speak to Him normally.

3. During the AIDS crisis my cousin died from AIDS. I was staying at his house during the last weeks of his life and attended his funeral. The whole time I felt powerless and was praying to the Lord to heal him. Then during the pandemic I was trying to fully understand what was going on and listened to some videos from Dr. Zelensky. He shared how HCQ is an oxidizer and simple one celled organism and viruses have no defense against an oxidizer. This is why it is so effective against Malaria and other viruses. I thought, that would include HIV. He also said that Quercetin and Zinc are like a gun and bullet at helping the immune system fight off viruses. Taking those will boost your immune response to any virus. Again, I thought that could include HIV. I was helping an orphanage in Kenya and they told me that 45 of the kids had HIV so I sent them the HCQ, Quercetin and Zinc. A month later the doctor reported that every kid was doing better. They had gained weight, had a better appetite and had evidence of remission. I believe the prayers for my cousin led me to take this chance 30+ years later.

This brings up the question about the prayer of a righteous man. What does that mean? It was the Lord's sovereignty that I was with my cousin those last two weeks. My younger brother and my sister were the two in the family that spent by far the most time with my cousins. This was the only time in my life I stayed with them. I believe it is because the Lord had a burden, He knew the cure, and so the whole time He is bothering me about this. Jesus is the righteous man, not "a" righteous man. He has the effective cure and He is fervent to rescue us from sin. But He needs a man on earth to be one with Him, to hear Him, to obey Him, to believe Him, to walk in faith. The reason He shows us trouble and anguish is so that we could join with the savior to bring salvation to this world.

4. The orphanage came to me saying they were in need of blankets, food and more of the HIV medicine. I told them I am retired, on a fixed income and didn't have any money. I told them they had 78 kids, get everyone together to pray to God the father, He will hear. A couple of days later that same week I get a letter saying that NY had recalculated my retirement and they owed me money and so a check was in my bank. I called the orphanage back, asked them how much in total they needed. They made some calls, did some calculations and got back to me. It was how much I had been given in that check so I told them "you got it, tell the kids that God hears their prayers".

This is the point of answered prayer, it lets us know that God hears and it lets us know that God wants to be part of our life.

Lord save me, I have a lot to learn

The 19th letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Kuf. The Numeric value of Kuf is 100. This is the only letter in the Hebrew alphabet that extends below the line of letters. This is only true of the common forms, the suffeit form of the letters, how they appear if they are at the end of the word has 4 letters that extend down below the line. So Kuf is the only letter than always extends below the line. It indicates Holiness. Separated unto God, set apart for God. This also indicates moral purity. Righteousness and Holiness go together.

Psalm 119:145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes.

That is a shame. So many believers are not crying with their whole heart. Think about Lot's wife, she had to turn and look back at Sodom. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Think of the 19 letters as 19 levels of dealing the Lord works on us until we can cry with our whole heart.

146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

He is reflecting on the past. These are the prayers that the Lord answered.

147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

He cried with his whole heart, he cried for God to save him, he was up before dawn crying to the Lord and hoping in the word.

148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

Now we move to present tense. The word prevent means to confront, to anticipate, to go before. As we grow we can change from reacting to what has happened to us to anticipating what is going to happen. The night watch is the start of a new day. New Christians are caught flat footed by the enemy, but as you mature you can anticipate and confront before the enemy can get set. I am a teacher and the other day a brother who has just started teaching as a substitute came and told me about some kid accusing him of being racist. He was caught flat footed. So I shared with him how I deal with this because as a more experienced teacher you anticipate and can confront that right up front. Here is how you deal with that. You carry a clipboard where you can take notes. He told the kid he was not supposed to be playing a video game and the kid accused him of racism for picking him out when another girl was also doing something she wasn't supposed to do. My response would be to carefully take notes -- make sure I spell his name correctly and make sure I am quoting him accurately. I talk to him in a normal voice, not a whisper but also not intentionally trying to let the whole class hear. Since everyone will want to hear the class will become very quiet. I will repeat what the kid said to make sure I had heard it correctly and was not misquoting him. These things always sound worse coming out of the teachers mouth. Now at this point the kid will realize the teacher will read this when they return and will hit the roof. So often a kid will say "Nah, I was only kidding you, and put the game away". Some will get real belligerent and begin to curse you out. You never repeat a curse word because kids will say they heard you say a curse word. Instead I will say "Oh, this is good, the guidelines on writing kids up really emphasizes making note of these words". At this point the kid will almost always realize he has lost, that the teacher will see this when they return and that 20 kids in the class will confirm the story. What you will have accomplished is warn every other kid in the class that they will not get over on you, they will not shame you, intimidate you, or beat you down. So the rest of the class will be fine. Now what this kid does at this point depends a whole lot on him. Usually the kid knows that this will be very bad and will spend the rest of the class trying to soften this. Sometimes they will get up in a huff and walk out of class. But every time it is the latter the other teachers have always told me that this kid has a reputation in the whole school and they are not surprised. A couple of key principles. The entire time you are to be calm, speak in a normal and respectful tone. You don't speak intentionally loud because it comes across as weak. You don't need any of the kids in the class to come to your aid. On the other hand you do not whisper because you know that what you are saying to this kid applies to the whole class and by speaking in a normal voice they all need to be very quiet if they want to hear. This is how you get control of the class. Finally, you then write down the name of the girl he pointed out, and ask again for what she was doing. At this point he will usually say "nothing" because the whole class is watching and he doesn't want to be a snitch. But either way you then turn to the girl and ask her if she has anything she wants you to put in the report. Use the word "report" it carries a very high implied threat. Usually she will say that she wants you to write that when you spoke to her she put her game away as soon as you asked. To me it is always like baseball. You focus on every word the way a batter focuses on the baseball.

149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O Lord, quicken me according to thy judgment.

Now we have moved into the present progressive. Hear my voice. This is all about prayer. God is Holy, He is the one with lovingkindness, He is the one with righteous judgements. God has given us His testimonies, He has given us a word that we can hope in. We are being trained to rule and reign with Christ. But we come to life according to God's judgement.

150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

Then as you meditate on that word and appreciate the Lord's judgment your powers of observation increase. Experienced teachers spot trouble before it happens. Instead of reacting to something that happened in the class, instead of confronting something head on as it happens, they see it happening before it happens. One time a kid told me to go back to the front of the class, that was where my place was. I told him the entire classroom is under my authority and I will go where I please. There are two ways to deal with this. You can assign seats at the first day of class. I shared a classroom with a very good teacher who never had any discipline issues and he did this. The other approach is to let kids pick their own seats, this is my approach. You can learn a lot about your students. There will be kids who pick the front row and there will be kids who pick the back row. It is highly unlikely that the kids who are following after mischief will sit in the front, they will sit in the back. Now that I have identified my kids I tell them that they can keep their chosen seat as long as they don't abuse that privilege. Finally, the big surprise for them is that I don't use the blackboard, my lessons are online that they access with a computer and I like to stand in the back of the room. The kids who want to be furthest from me are the same ones I want to be closest to. The other secret is this, you always look at a different part of the room from where you are standing. When you are walking by a table the kids will hunker down and focus, meanwhile I am looking at the other side of the room. But look at the difference here, in the first few letters of the alphabet it is all about my own pursuit of the word, now when we get to the 19th letter and holiness it is about descending into the chaos and helping others to focus on the word.

151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth.

This is what I try to convey to the kids. I am near, I am watching, I am available if they have any questions. One reason many kids get distracted is because they don't understand, they need assistance. By walking around it is very easy for a kid to ask for my help without having to let the whole class know.

152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Every effective teacher has their own approach that works. If your approach doesn't work you have to change, but after a few years if you are still teaching you have learned an approach that does work. I like to give kids a choice because that is the way I would want to be treated. One thing I learned in Brooklyn, if a kid doesn't want to learn they don't come to class. So everyone in the class is there because they want to learn. Many of these kids have been judged throughout their entire school experience and I don't want to be treated like that so I don't treat them like that. Also I learned that often a kid will sit in the back because they know if they sit in the front next to some other kid the two of them will be getting into fights. in other words they are choosing seats to avoid problems, and these are problems I don't know anything about. Many teachers teach in the inner city because they want to make a difference, but there is a lot to learn if you want to go down into the pit to help pull someone out.

More on Christmas -- A work of delusion

Jeremiah 10:1 Hear ye the word which Jehovah speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2 thus saith Jehovah, Learn not the way of the nations, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the nations are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are like a palm-tree, of turned work, and speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.

This chapter concludes with they have devoured him, consumed him and laid waste to his habitation. Who? The nations that have not known God. But it starts with the house of Israel bringing the idol of these pagan worshippers into the house. Think of the Christmas tree as a trojan horse. It looks like they are celebrating the Lord's birth with you and yet they are deceiving you into bringing this idol into your house that will consume it, devour it, and lay it waste.

6 There is none like unto thee, O Jehovah; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. 7 Who should not fear thee, O King of the nations? for to thee doth it appertain; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee. 8 But they are together brutish and foolish: the instruction of idols! it is but a stock. 9 There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the artificer and of the hands of the goldsmith; blue and purple for their clothing; they are all the work of skilful men. 10 But Jehovah is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.

Now it gets worse, they let this idol instruct them. Here is how you decorate it. Then you need to go to our malls and buy a bunch of junk to put under it. You need to put the star of our God Moloch on top of it. You need to put "special" ornaments that people describe as though they were idols that they worship on it. You sing songs to it "O Christmas tree". Yet there is nothing true about it. It is green but it is not living. And, it will not abide God's indignation, what happens after Christmas, they throw the tree in the fire.

11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.

Whoa! Many people think this tree is insignificant, why talk about it. Because right here this idol is a symbol reminding us of the coming judgement on the earth by fire.

12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens. 13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries. 14 Every man is become brutish and is without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his graven image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. 15 They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. 16 The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance: Jehovah of hosts is his name.

Whoa, it is a work of delusion, it is part of the great delusion that God sends to those who did not love the truth. Not only so but "in the time of their visitation they shall perish". What do Christmas trees have to do with the time of their visitation? Not only so but there is a direct comparison between this idolatrous Christmas tree and everything that it entails and our portion, the babe of Bethlehem. Also, even though it is pagan worship and even though it has nothing to do with Jesus' birth the fact that these two are put together into a juxtaposition like they are during Christmas is because of the God of heaven, by His wisdom and by His understanding. Now what does all this have to do with God uttering his voice? Are we talking about the trumpet blast when God causes the saints to ascend from the ends of the earth? Is this Trumpet blast like the scene the shepherds in the field saw? The incarnation is when God came down to man and the rapture is when men ascend to God?

17 Gather up thy wares out of the land, O thou that abidest in the siege. 18 For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel it.

Whoa! This sounds like the start of the tribulation with the judgement on the apostasy and organized Christianity. This verse reminds me of the violation of the sabbath day in the Old Testament or even more of Jesus casting the money changers out of the temple. They turn the worship of Jesus birth into a great big bazaar of buying all the wares of these pagan idolaters.

19 Woe is me because of my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is my grief, and I must bear it. 20 My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth from me, and they are not: there is none to spread my tent any more, and to set up my curtains. 21 For the shepherds are become brutish, and have not inquired of Jehovah: therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks are scattered. 22 The voice of tidings, behold, it cometh, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a dwelling-place of jackals.

We begin this chapter with them cutting down a Christmas tree, bringing it into the house of Israel and decorating it because the shepherds have become brutish and have not inquired of the Lord. At the end we see an attack from the North to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a dwelling place of jackals (gangs of thugs). This sounds like the start of the tribulation when we have the Gog, Magog war with Israel in Ezekiel 38.

23 O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. 24 O Jehovah, correct me, but in measure; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. 25 Pour out thy wrath upon the nations that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name; for they have devoured Jacob, yea, they have devoured him and consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.

Don't let Judas do your ministry for you

The twentieth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Resh. The value of Resh is 200. The picture is of a bowed head, someone bent over in service. God stooped low to serve us. The word for Resh sounds like the Hebrew word for head. Jesus is head over all to the church. The first word in the Bible is beresheet, which means in the beginning. Within this word you have the word for head, if you take that word out you are left with three letters that mean house. So "head of the house" is hidden within the word "beresheet" or "in the beginning".

Psalm 119:153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

Paul said Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. We begin by calling on God to deliver us from our affliction and then the comfort that we received from God we are able to then comfort others with. Peter denied the Lord and then had a ministry where he was able to build up those who also denied the Lord. Mark did this and Paul refused to let him go on ministry trips with him, but Peter took Mark and shepherded him and later he was restored. James was a cult leader, but his book exposes cults and shares how you can escape from their grasp. Paul failed to see the body of Christ, he was blind, but his ministry unveils the body of Christ.

154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

It is easy to condemn someone who is in a cult, but if you were there too, then you can have empathy and plead their cause. The Spirit is our advocate, He pleads our cause, but then we also can learn from that and plead the cause of others.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, that is the Lord's statute, you should be seeking after that. The wicked don't seek that. Their statute is to do unto others before they can get a chance to do it to you.

156 Great are thy tender mercies, O Lord: quicken me according to thy judgments.

All ministries to the Lord are filled with tender mercies and great tender mercies.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

It is so strange that if you are seeking to follow the Lord, love your neighbor as yourself, and help others to salvation that anyone would persecute you. But that is what they do. Why? Why does the government want to shut down churches and do all the charitable giving themselves? This is Judas, the guy holding the money bag. He gets upset when anyone wastes anything on the Lord's body. Give him the money, he'll take care of the poor. Yet we know that his real goal is that if you give him the money he will keep a portion and only a small portion will go to the poor. So a ministry is like a ship at sea, the waves are breaking on the ship, the wind is blowing spray up into your face, but the ship cuts through the wind and waves. We do not decline from the Lord's testimonies, we don't submit to the evil one, we don't wither under attack.

158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

The transgressors cause so much damage. People are afraid to donate to the poor because they don't know who to trust. Every chance the US government gets it will seize more power. The way to seize power is to say "I'll pay off your student loan debt". OK, with what money, so now you need to pay more tax money to the government. Soon you are a bond slave that has to pay everything to your overlords who then decide where you go to school, if at all, where you work, where you live, etc.

159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy lovingkindness.

The Lord has given us directions, He has warned us about Satan's temptations, He has taught us about ministry and investing the talents we have been given. Don't take the easy way out, the broad way that leads to destruction, rather take the narrow way that leads to life where you take charge of your ministry. Don't let Judas do it for you.

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Psalm 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Everyone has noticed that the wicked have sprung up like the grass. This is a prophecy, all of this is so that they may be destroyed forever.

1Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Leaven makes the bread rise. Unleavened bread is sincere and truth. What you see is what you get. Leavened bread is leavened with malice (not sincere but an evil motive) and wickedness (not truth but deceitfulness).

1Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

We don't judge the unbelievers. Bernie Madoff was judged by God, not by us. Stalin and Hitler were judged by God, not by us. However, we do judge those in the church and are told to put the wicked out. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

For example, in the Catholic church 50% of the priests are involved in sexual relations, usually consensual adults. However, they hide this, they are not truthful. As a result they are afraid to put out the pedophiles because they could expose others and the whole house of cards will fall down. Therefore, put away from among yourselves that wicked person. Don't allow this to leaven the whole lump.

I love the Christian life, very exciting

The 21st letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Shin. The numeric value of Shin is 300. The picture is flames of fire or of teeth. The word for shin is the same spelling as the Hebrew word for tooth. This letter by itself stands for almighty as in God almighty. The word of almighty is considered an acronym for "Guardian of the gates of Israel". This last pair of letters in the alphabet points to Jesus as the servant king and to Jesus as the conquering king.

Psalm 119:161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

This happened to me, I was helping raise up a church in West Texas when they sent out this elder to take charge and he immediately began to attack me. His messages described a sinful brother and the only person it could possibly have been was me. He did not use my name, instead took the approach that they were concerned for me and were praying for me to repent. The entire congregation was stunned but knew exactly who he was talking about. So what do you do? The Lord had taught me from Galatians to not give place even for five minutes. I focused on the Bible verses that he was supposedly expounding. When he finished there was a time for testimonies and I was the first to jump up and I shared on the verses, completely ignoring all the inuendos. People were shocked at my chutzpa. As soon as the meeting was over a brother approached me in front of all and asked me who the elder was referring to. I said "I don't know, ask him". A week later the same thing happened, except this time he doubled down making my sins twice as grievous, and yet again he never did use my name. This is "clever" because if he used my name I could sue him for slander. Likewise if you jump up and say "this isn't true" you get caught in the mud and since he controls the meetings you lose. So again, I focused on the verses, ignored everything he said, and was the first to share a testimony as soon as he finished. This put the whole congregation in complete turmoil. Someone is clearly lying to them, how do they figure out who. Then a "miracle" happened. An elderly couple from Houston moved out to that church and they had known me from the first day that I had come to the church. So all these members quickly went to them to see if these things the elder was saying were true. This couple made it clear that it was all lies. So then we had the third Lord's day and this elder began trying to back track saying he wasn't referring to my life in the church but my life before getting saved (I was from NY and he was from Dallas, he knew nothing of my life before being saved, but I bit my tongue and again stayed completely above the fray). Meanwhile outraged saints got up to rebuke the elder for deceiving them and pointing out that we all were sinners saved by grace, what we had done prior to being saved had been cleansed by the blood and after being baptized we were a new creation. I was so happy, I felt these three weeks had been a test on the saints I had been ministering to and they had passed with flying colors! I saw the wisdom of the Lord's strategy and was in awe.

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

After that the church life exploded in glory. It was such a joyful time of all the saints speaking and ministering life to one another.

163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

However, a hate was also burning within me that this elder had used the church meetings for whatever personal goal he had. He tried to justify himself based on some personal family matters that I felt he had no business bringing into the church meeting. The same time that I was loving the meetings and word, I was also praying that these liars would be dealt with.

164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Ultimately I wrote a letter to the churches that had sent this brother and I strongly rebuked them. You have to be completely in the Lord and you cannot bring a "railing charge" against an elder. This is a very difficult procedure just like Esther exposing Haman. The letters were like those celebration parties that Esther invited the King and Haman too. Eventually everyone wants to know, OK, what is the issue? Then I shared a testimony from an earlier experience, but the conclusion was a stinging rebuke to the elders and to anyone who had discernment. I expected to be excommunicated once they got the letter and sure enough that weekend a special meeting was called for the church. In that meeting we learned that the chief architect of this persecution had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. If that had not happened the same day they got my letter they surely would have excommunicated me. But God is righteous in His judgements.

165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

So I walked through this great storm which took two full years and had nothing but great peace.

166 Lord, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

When I dropped that letter into the mailbox I truly thought that I would be excommunicated within a week, but at the same time I was fully persuaded that this was the Lord's commandment to do this. I hoped in His salvation, still it came as a big surprise.

167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

When I became a Christian I thought it would be a boring life, but instead it is exceedingly exciting, requiring faith, hope and love. I love all the experiences I have had.

168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

Joshua 4:1-9 -- God's grasshoppers

1 When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, 2 “Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, 3 and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from right where the priests are standing, and carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight.” 4 So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, 5 and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, 6 to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 7 tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” 8 So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the Lord had told Joshua; and they carried them over with them to their camp, where they put them down. 9 Joshua set up the twelve stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day.

This memorial is composed of twelve stones on one side of the Jordan representing the 12 tribes of Israel and their crossing of the Jordan. At the beginning of the age of grace we were saved from this evil age and were brought out into the wilderness. However, we still had the slave mentality and lacked faith in the Lord. All those who were in Egypt died in the wilderness due to a lack of faith, except for Joshua and Caleb. These who crossed over were all those who had grown up and spent their whole lives worshipping the Lord in the wilderness. For their entire lives they had the freedom to worship God as He commanded them in the wilderness. They were never slaves. But now they are entering a new territory. This territory, this land, has been usurped by seven tribes that are already there. But Israel has been formed into an army of these twelve tribes. So we need to look a little closer at these twelve tribes because after 40 years they had become stones, this is the memorial. They also experienced becoming river crossers, Hebrews. We see the end from the beginning. The Egyptian army chased Israel into the Red sea and out of the Jordan river we see Israel emerge as an army. The Lord rained plagues on Egypt to force Pharaoh to let them go, they were frogs, or flies or lice. Now Israel, the army will be that plague, they will be God’s grasshoppers.
