Question: In Revelation 12 it mentions 1,260 days which is 42x30, so it could also equal 42 months, and it is also 3 1/2 years. Later in Revelation 12 it mentions "time, times and half a time" which is understood as three and a half years. So my question is does the 1260 days in verse 6 the same time period as the "time, times and half a time" in verse 14?
Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
I believe we saw this in 2017
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
I believe that sign told us what was going to take place, and that over the last seven years we have heard the woman crying in pain to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
This we have not yet identified. But according to the timeline I think we may have not realized this sign was in the sky too.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
This "third part of the stars" does not refer to the fallen angels because they are cast out of heaven with the dragon in verse 9 after they lose the war with Michael. So then I think this refers to the Satanic rulers of this age instituting the vaccine mandate and casting many believers out of their jobs.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
This refers to the rapture, in my opinion.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Now many argue that this woman represents Israel. If that is the case then the man child being caught up to heaven is a reference to all believers who were taken up during the 3 1/2 years prior to the two witnesses being killed. That would make no sense because the tribulation saints are martyred. There is no reference to martyrs being caught up. Instead I would think that is referred to by the war in heaven in the next verse. Therefore I liken this woman to the left behind saints. The woman who gives birth is much bigger than the baby that is born, in the same way I believe there will be far more Christians left behind than the number of those who will be raptured. In the book of Revelation only one out of the seven churches is said to be kept from the hour of trial, and another one of the seven will not have anyone that is caught up because Jesus has already been forced out of that church. So to say that one sixth of the Christians will be raptured is just a guess, but makes sense, especially since two out of the 12 spies stood with the Lord. Therefore I think that what happens with the left behind saints is very similar to what happens with the Jews. When they see the two witnesses caught up that is when they repent and confess that Jesus is the Messiah. Likewise when the left behind saints realize they have been left behind that is when they repent.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
It is clear that at the time of the rapture there is war in heaven. Not before. The third of the stars that were cast to the earth earlier is not fallen angels, it is Satan censoring people, deplatforming them, shadow banning them, and kicking them out of their jobs. But they lost. We see Trump cleaning house as soon as he took office, in the same way Jesus will clean house as soon as the rapture takes place. Trump is firing people, in the same way all the fallen angels still in the heavens will be fired and cast to earth.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The events that take place in human government are an indication of what is taking place in the heavens. Right now there is a war taking place and Satan and his angels are being cast out.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
This is a reference to the tribulation saints who are martyred for the Lord.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
This is a reference to the woes that take place during the Great Tribulation
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
This is a reference to the tribulation
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
I think this takes place close to the middle of the tribulation. She flies "into her place"? That can't refer to Christians, we belong to every tribe and tongue and nation. Her place must refer to the Jews and this must refer to when they flee after Satan sets himself up in the temple of God (Holy sanctuary -- the word could also refer to the tabernacle of David). There are several countries that use the Eagle as the national symbol, but only one of them is "great" and that is the US. 49% of the world's Jews live in the US so it makes sense that they would fly from the US to Israel.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Sounds like a tsunami or the collapse of the 3 Gorges dam. I think we have two very similar events taking place, not the same event and not at the same time. I think when the rapture takes place you will have a flood sent out to swallow up the saints left behind. That would be a time when the 3 Gorges dam would be destroyed because China attacks Taiwan. However, that would make no sense in the middle of the tribulation, there are probably next to no Jews living in the Yangtze river basin at the middle of the tribulation. However, Russia has the poseidon torpedo, it is a nuclear torpedo that causes a Tsunami 500 feet high. I believe they may fire that at the US when "all hell breaks loose". When that happens I suspect Jews will be fleeing the US to go to Israel.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
The earth opening her mouth is how it was described when Korah died. I suspect this is a great earthquake. There will be a great earthquake when the sixth seal is opened, but that is before the dragon is cast to earth. So again, I think we are talking about two events that look almost identical and that take place about 42 months apart.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The remnant of her seed sounds to me like the left behind Christians after the rapture. But then the same thing happens during the Great tribulation when all the nations of earth assemble against the Jews at Armageddon.
Is this difficult to decipher? Absolutely. In my opinion you cannot study Revelation until you understand the whole Bible. There is definitely a minority of saints raptured prior to the hour of trial, perhaps one sixth. Then there is a testimony from the left behind saints who loved not their life unto death. When the two witnesses are raised that ends the church age and we see the final 3 1/2 years of the seventieth week where the Jews as a nation finally say "blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord". This verse describes both groups: the Jews are those who keep the commandments of God, and the Christians are those who have the testimony of Jesus. You can't have the testimony of Jesus without doing what Jesus said to do and you can't keep the commandments of God without having the Spirit of God.
