During my tender ages I used to believe that whatever an elderly person says is true. Growing up with my grandmother, she made to believe that only the old people die, not small children and young people. Almost everyone of my age was told like that by either a grand mother or some elderly relatives. During my tender ages, when a child dies they used to tell me that that one has just gone to another place to stay. During my tender ages, young people could not die.
One day, during my tender ages, my elder sister, the first born of my mother, left my sick nephew as she went to fetch water from the well. She told me not to leave the place until she could come back. This was during my tender ages. As i was looking, suddenly this nephew of mine stopped kept quiet and stopped breathing.
In my tender age, I could see that the stomach was not moving up and down. I thought he was a sleep because in during my tender age children could not die. I went playing with other boys leaving the sick nephew asleep. "Blackson, why have you left the baby alone?" She asked me. "He is sleeping!" I answered her. This was during my tender age when young children could not die.
" Ah! My son! My son! My son is gone!" She cried and with a broken heart. Suddenly, I saw our relatives and neighbours come running to our house. I ran towards the house to see what was wrong with my elder sister. One woman stopped, yet she told me a lie, " Don't come here, your nephew is dead." "No! It's a lie,. young children don't die." I told her at the face.
But wait a minute; who was lying here. Then that has been the biggest lie I have ever lived with in my tender age.
