I saw Sidroy, James and Sir George talking in a group, laughing. It bugged me. It annoyed me. I should have been relieved to see my comrades happier, but I couldn’t absorb the joy into myself. Why were they laughing? There’s no reason to be so happy, I had fought with James just earlier. I was so confused and angry as to why would he be laughing.
Steel clanked under me,” Why are you laughing? Huh? What is this?”
James stood up against me quickly without a slight hesitation, similar to earlier. “We’re taking a break from you. We hate you anyway. You’re a horrible leader and you shouldn’t even be in charge of this squad.” After blinking in unbelief several consecutive times, mentally I thought, “...How dare you…”
No one understood. Just like the mental suffering that I had gone through by myself in the hallways of dark space station, I found myself trapped like Sidroy when he was trapped in the slime of the monster. When concentrating on his own strength, he could have pulled the slim off himself without help from anyone. It was a moment to train him, little did James know. I had never trained him. I had trained Tia and Morgan how to heal. Both ladies had a natural talent for healing; It helped that they were meek of heart, humble and gentle, yet as strong as stone. I was doing my job as a leader in teaching them how to fend for themselves, instead of doing it for them. In case there ever came a time when they were alone or separated. It was what Jesus would have done.
There I stood in silence. I felt all eyes on me all at once and I shook my head without giving any type of explanation. James drilled into me and I couldn’t take it.
“You should have helped him! I can’t believe you punched me in the face after I had helped him! What kind of leader are you? You call yourself righteous, but your not! You’ll never get into the kingdom of heaven for abandoning your brother! You hurt everyone so bad that no one wants you to be leader anymore!” It continued on, but I looked to Sir George and saw no expression. He just looked at me, holding the pommel of Eloise, slightly twirling the sword on her tip.
I felt that George didn’t agree, but his silence and his laughing earlier convinced me otherwise. So I went to Morgan and Samael to see what they were up to. Samael was leaning against the wall, with his head back. The long black hair of the angel cascaded down his shoulders and onto his armor. It was really quite beautiful. “Samael. Are you doing alright, buddy?”, my hand pat his shoulder with confidence. I always show my comrades that I had confidence, to keep their minds at ease even when mine is not.
Samael remained silent and a twinge twisted his face when my hand pat his shoulder, then he looked up at me with eyes that spoke of destruction. He was not done healing. I backed away my hand. “Alright. Alright. Take care of him Morgan.”
“What do you think I’m doing?”,she asked as she sat with Samael.
“Good. Keep doing what your doing.”
“Shut up already!”
The attitude, I didn’t understand. I couldn’t even fathom why she had to talk back to me in such a manner. I was already disturbed as it was and she wasn’t making it any better.
“Look, just keep doing your job and everything will go peachy keen, al’right?”
Morgan threw an idle wrench at me, it skid across the steel grated floor and I just managed to pick up my foot just in time to avoid it hitting me. “Shut! Up!”, she screamed.
At that moment my angel stopped me from running up to her and throwing her across the station by her hair. I was fed up, but again, I was helpless. I didn’t care anymore. I was starting to get ticked off.
Morgan stood up and stared slapping me. I rose up my arms to defend myself. I prayed to God to give me wisdom.
“ENOUGH!” my arms spread open and Morgan stumbled back.”You know that the enemy has been trying to dismantle us! And after this long you’re going to let them?! For shame Morgan. I thought you were a Christian like me. A follower of Christ. What’s happened to you?”
Morgan stood silent. Her empty hands, palms up, fell down to admit defeat. Slowly she fell to her knees and started sobbing. “I..Im..s-s-sorry…!” I felt sorry instantly. She had her own flaws to deal with it seemed.
“I….I…fell back into the habit…I’m sorry commander! I’ve been doing Witchcraft behind your back…I’m so sorry. It’s all been my fault…”
